Chapter 266: Chapter 266: South Korea’s Number One Beauty Has Fallen for You

Wang Chenning was floored when Li Fuzhen said she’d helped him win twenty million US Dollars.

’Just how high were the stakes?!’

"Then thank you, Sister Li!" In the end, he just offered a light-hearted thanks. "I’m going to get rich!"

"As if you’d be interested in such a small amount of money!" Li Fuzhen rolled her eyes at him before turning to greet Zhao Xiao’an with a chuckle. "Miss Zhao, your boyfriend is truly incredible. To think he won so easily!"

"It was just a win-win situation," Zhao Xiao’an said, though she was clearly delighted. "The only ones who lost were those who took it all too seriously. Everyone else came out fine."

Li Fuzhen gave Zhao Xiao’an a thumbs-up. ’The mind of this wealthy heiress is truly something else.’

After leaving the hotel with Wang Chenning and his group, Li Fuzhen departed with Li Yanxian.

Naturally, Li Fuzhen had many things she wanted to discuss with Wang Chenning, but now was not the time.

Wang Chenning and the others were leaving Seoul the day after tomorrow, and he had promised to come treat her tomorrow.

’We can talk about it before or after the treatment tomorrow.’

Before she left, she told Wang Chenning that she would have the twenty million US Dollars she’d won for him wired to his designated account that evening.

"Thanks!" Wang Chenning said with a smile. "When you come to Huaxia, I’ll treat you to a feast!"

"It’s a deal! No backing out!" Li Fuzhen high-fived Wang Chenning with a smile and then departed.

Li Yanxian hadn’t said much. As she was about to get into the car with Li Fuzhen, she glanced back at Wang Chenning. The look she gave him made his heart skip a beat and instantly put Zhao Xiao’an on alert.

"Don’t tell me Li Yanxian has fallen for you," Zhao Xiao’an said, watching the aunt and niece’s luxury car drive away. She gave Wang Chenning a wry smile. "That look in her eyes... it’s like she’s certain she can have you."

"If there’s a girl in this world who doesn’t like me, she must be an idiot!" Wang Chenning chuckled. "Who can possibly resist my charm?"

His reward was a sharp pinch from Zhao Xiao’an.

Their public display of flirtatious banter made Wu Jingyi, Zhang Manxin, and Lin Qingyan quite indignant. Someone was already muttering "shameless couple" under their breath.

The news of Wang Chenning showing up at the South Korea traditional medicine forum to challenge them on their own turf had already spread like wildfire through the delegation’s main group chat.

Some of the more active members had even posted photos and videos from the scene to the group, sparking waves of astonished reactions.

Wang Chenning didn’t pay much attention to the comments. After leaving the venue, he posted a message in the group: "My mission is complete. The rest is up to all of you!"

The moment the "instigator" himself showed up, he was immediately flooded with messages.

"Brother Ning, so the challenge was a success? Quick, tell us how you’re feeling right now!"

"Brother Ning, you’re a total badass! I am in absolute awe!"

"Director Ning, our admiration for you flows endlessly, like the Yellow River!"

...

Yang Xiaofu, on the other hand, was full of regret. She shouldn’t have attended the university division’s event today; she should have gone with Wang Chenning.

She couldn’t believe she’d only watched such an exciting showdown through a livestream—and a livestream hosted by Zhao Xiao’an, no less. It was infuriating!

She had sent Wang Chenning a flurry of messages to voice her displeasure, but he hadn’t replied to any of them.

In a huff, she had rushed back to the hotel to intercept Wang Chenning.

When Wang Chenning returned to the hotel with a group of members from the traditional medicine delegation, Yang Xiaofu was waiting for him in the lobby, a sulky expression on her face.

However, the moment she saw Wang Chenning and Zhao Xiao’an walk in, her expression instantly changed to a smile. She trotted over to Wang Chenning’s side, beaming, and congratulated him face-to-face. Then she insisted that he had to treat everyone to a proper celebration for today’s victory.

"No problem!" Wang Chenning readily agreed. He added that he was craving some South Korean barbecue, and figured they should be able to get the real deal here in Seoul. He asked Yang Xiaofu to find out which place had the best barbecue, and he would treat everyone.

Yang Xiaofu agreed and found a place in no time.

Wang Chenning told everyone that the group dinner was still on as scheduled, and that he had things to take care of afterward.

He invited everyone for barbecue at ten o’clock that night.

When the time came, he’d send a message in the smaller group chat for everyone who wanted to have some fun.

Naturally, the older members weren’t interested in that sort of fun. They were all health-conscious, so they wouldn’t stay out so late. Besides, they didn’t like rich food and certainly wouldn’t eat high-calorie barbecue right before bed.

It was better to just let the young people go and have their fun.

By the time Zheng Chusheng got back to the hotel, he had already learned the full story. Wang Chenning had acted arrogantly, but things hadn’t gotten out of hand. The South Koreans hadn’t become hostile, which made him breathe a sigh of relief.

He immediately went to congratulate Wang Chenning, telling him that he had brought great honor to the exchange program and that he would recommend him for a commendation from their superiors.

During dinner, even more people came to congratulate Wang Chenning. They praised him for being so multi-talented and audacious, humbling the entire South Korean traditional medicine community in a single go. They said it was a major event that should be recorded in the annals of history—or at the very least, a monumental event in the history of traditional medicine that deserved to be chronicled in great detail.

Faced with everyone’s congratulations, Wang Chenning feigned modesty, saying that he had just been lucky. He claimed that the South Korean traditional medicine community simply lacked any truly outstanding masters and that he’d only won by a fluke.

’Such a drama king!’

Wu Jingyi, Zhang Manxin, and Lin Qingyan had witnessed Wang Chenning’s arrogance firsthand all day. Seeing him act so low-key now, they couldn’t help but scorn him in their hearts.

Still, they now had a much deeper understanding of his medical skills, and their admiration for him had grown.

After dinner, Wang Chenning attended a debriefing meeting called by Zheng Chusheng.

He didn’t really need to report on the day’s events in detail; many people had watched the livestream and knew exactly what had happened.

Nevertheless, he gave a brief overview, which once again earned him the envy and admiration of everyone present.

The other divisions’ activities that day hadn’t been very exciting. There had been some friendly competitions, but the results were mixed, with wins and losses on both sides. Overall, there was nothing particularly noteworthy to report.

Zheng Chusheng also announced the schedule for the next two days. Tomorrow, the divisions would again follow their own itineraries. The traditional medicine exchange division was scheduled to visit a South Korean pharmaceutical college and a medicinal herb cultivation base, followed by a formal symposium in the evening.

The day after tomorrow would be a group activity for the entire delegation, involving a tour of Seoul’s landmarks and a visit to the demarcation line at the 38th parallel.

After each division reported on and summarized their activities for the day, everyone went back to their rooms to rest.

Wang Chenning was also eager to get back and rest. He needed to build up his energy for tonight. He planned to make Zhao Xiao’an feel like a goddess again, but he also wanted to show her just how formidable he could be.

On his way to his room, he sent Zhao Xiao’an a text asking what she was up to.

Zhao Xiao’an replied with a single message: "I’m taking a shower in your room!"

The message instantly ignited Wang Chenning’s passion.

’Well now. She’s delivering herself right to my doorstep.’

’He wasn’t about to miss this opportunity. Time to teach her a lesson first.’

’As for whether she’d have any energy left to go out for barbecue later... that could wait.’

When Wang Chenning used his key card to enter the room, he saw that, sure enough, someone was showering in his bathroom.

He tossed the documents he was holding aside, shrugged off his jacket, and went to knock on the bathroom door.

After he knocked, the sound of the running water in the bathroom stopped. A moment later, the door opened, and Zhao Xiao’an’s soaking wet head peeked out. "I’m in the shower. Want to join me?"
