The look in Wang Chenning’s eyes as he spoke made Yang Xiaofei’s and Zhao Xiao’an’s hearts skip a beat.

"I won’t tell anyone!" Zhao Xiao’an was the first to react.

Yang Xiaofei shot Wang Chenning a glare but eventually nodded as well.

Wang Chongjiu knew these young people had things to discuss. He was tactful enough not to linger. After having some barbecue with them, he excused himself, saying it was getting late, and went back to his room to rest.

Yang Xiaofei and Zhao Xiao’an went out to the balcony to drink tea and eat barbecue, leaving the remaining space for Wang Chenning, Wang Liqing, and Wang Liyu.

Wang Liqing and Wang Liyu didn’t understand why Wang Chenning had brought them to meet Yang Xiaofei and Zhao Xiao’an, but they didn’t ask any questions.

The things Wang Liqing and Wang Liyu had done made Bai Qianxun, Zhang Guoping, and Lin Annian grow even more suspicious of one another. They now thought it was highly possible that they had been set up by one of the others during the last assault, which further reduced their suspicion of Wang Chenning.

After hearing their report, Wang Chenning chuckled. He then instructed them, "I’m going to Jiangnan in a couple of days. You two stay here in Yandu and continue what you’re doing. If you find a suitable opportunity, you can mess with them again. While I’m not in Yandu, you can act freely and boldly."

"Understood!" Wang Liqing and Wang Liyu immediately agreed.

Wang Chenning handed them a card. "There are five million RMB in here. This is your operating fund while I’m away from Yandu. You can buy anything you think you need. Oh, and while you’re at it, help me recruit some highly skilled people. Men or women are fine, preferably foreigners. North Koreans and people from your country, Japan, are preferred. I’ll provide sufficient funding going forward."

"Understood!" Wang Liqing and Wang Liyu agreed once more.

After Wang Liqing and Wang Liyu left, Yang Xiaofei and Zhao Xiao’an returned to the living room.

"Why did you let us know about those two?" Yang Xiaofei asked Wang Chenning, a hint of displeasure in her voice. "Are you going to kill us if we leak information about them?"

"They’ll eventually have to step into the light," Wang Chenning said with a smile. "But that’s a while from now. Letting you meet them first saves a lot of trouble down the line. I also want them to know that they’re replaceable at any time and not as important as they might think."

"Those two women from Japan are quite beautiful and very sexy," Zhao Xiao’an said with a hint of worry. "I think you have ideas about them!"

Yang Xiaofei nodded in agreement.

"You’re overthinking it!" Wang Chenning chuckled. "They’ve been with quite a few men, and besides, they’re a couple. I have no interest in sharing women with other men!"

Wang Chenning’s words earned him a simultaneous cold snort from both Zhao Xiao’an and Yang Xiaofei.

However, their feelings for Wang Chenning grew even more complicated.

They knew it was impossible to truly win over Wang Liqing and Wang Liyu in just a few days. There had to be a hidden reason why these two women were so obedient to Wang Chenning.

They both concluded that Wang Chenning must have used unconventional means to control Wang Liqing and Wang Liyu.

The thought that Wang Chenning might one day use the same methods on them made the two women’s feelings even more conflicted.

If they were to have a conflict or argument with Wang Chenning in the future, it wasn’t impossible that he would resort to such tactics.

After eating the food Wang Chenning had grilled, the two women prepared to go back and rest.

Zhao Xiao’an had actually come to find Wang Chenning tonight because she wanted him to keep her company.

Just as Wang Chenning was about to get some rest, he noticed a message on his phone from Lin Anning.

"My period this time was strange. It was really short and ended today. Is that abnormal?"

Seeing this message, Wang Chenning grinned.

"I won’t know if it’s normal or not until I check. I’m still awake, so I’ll come over and take a look for you!"

Lin Anning replied with an embarrassed emoji.

After making sure Wang Chongjiu was asleep, Wang Chenning quietly slipped out the door.

Arriving at the villa where Lin Anning lived, Wang Chenning navigated to her bedroom door with practiced ease.

He reached out and turned the knob, finding that the door wasn’t locked from the inside like it had been the past few days. His mood instantly lightened.

When he opened the door and went inside, he found Lin Anning sitting on her bed in her nightgown, reading a book.

The moment she saw him enter, she quickly used the book to cover her chest, a blush rapidly spreading across her pretty face.

Today, Lin Anning was wearing a low-cut nightgown. Afraid Wang Chenning would tease her, she had subconsciously used the book to cover her chest.

"What are you doing here?" she asked, feigning ignorance. "It’s so late, aren’t you going to bed?"

"Oh, so you didn’t want me to come. I guess I was being presumptuous," Wang Chenning said, turning as if to leave.

"You’re so annoying!" Lin Anning threw the book in her hands at him.

Wang Chenning caught it with one hand and then plopped down on the bed.

"Miss me?" he asked, leaning close to Lin Anning with a grin.

"Gross!" Lin Anning turned her head away. "Of course I didn’t miss you!"

"You shouldn’t be dishonest!" Wang Chenning said, still grinning at Lin Anning. Then he suddenly tugged at her nightgown. "It was me who missed the Lin family’s twin treasures!"

Lin Anning wasn’t stupid. She immediately understood what he meant and flushed with a mix of anger and embarrassment.

"Let go of me! Didn’t you say the Lin family’s twin treasures hadn’t grown up yet?" She tried to slap his hand away, but couldn’t.

"I’ll help them grow up slowly!" Wang Chenning said, his hands no longer holding back.

Lin Anning struggled symbolically a few times before resigning herself to her fate.

When Wang Chenning slipped into the covers and officially began to "bully" her, she no longer tried to shy away, but actively leaned into him.

But Wang Chenning played his old trick again. Just as Lin Anning was about to break past her threshold of excitement, he deliberately left her hanging.
