Chapter 2115: Storming the Wolf Clan Encampment

Chapter 2115 -2113: Storming the Wolf Clan Encampment

The wolf cavalry thought it was the Fire Phoenix camp celebrating the day’s events, after all, it was the first time they knew the Three Marshals changed their orders to retreat.

In the Candle Dragon Demon Country, the Ten Demon Generals represent the highest authority, and the marshal’s order represents the power of the ten generals.

Just like during the day, without that subsequent marshal’s order, the cannon fodder from the Fire Phoenix camp wouldn’t even think of retreating. Even if tens of thousands of the demon clan were slaughtered, the authority of the marshal’s order had to be ensured.

“Fog rising?”

At this moment, in the night, fog suddenly appeared, and the surrounding view began to be disturbed.

“What’s the big deal? It’s just fog.” A wolf cavalry member nearby was indifferent.

“I’m afraid once the fog rises, won’t the cannon fodder in the Fire Phoenix camp try to escape?”

“Hmm?” The wolf cavalry centurion was about to speak when his subordinates suddenly looked towards the direction of the Fire Phoenix camp.

“Quick, look over there.”

Hmm.

The wolf cavalry centurion looked, the corner of his mouth revealed a hint of coldness: “Heh, during the day these pieces of cannon fodder were lucky to escape a disaster, didn’t expect they weren’t too dizzy-headed and knew staying in the Fire Phoenix camp was a death sentence.”

“But if they want to run, have they asked the blade in my hand?”

“Prepare to intercept and kill, any demon clan daring to escape, make an example by killing, cut them all down.”

The wolf cavalry centurion issued a chilling order, then grabbed his war wolf, turned direction, and led more than a dozen trusted aides towards the ‘deserters’ outside the Fire Phoenix camp.

The speed of a dozen wolf riders was swift as the wind, and in a moment, they arrived before the cannon fodder of the Fire Phoenix camp.

“Wretches, where do you think you’re running off to.”

The wolf cavalry centurion grinned fiercely at the demon clan cannon fodder in front of him, raising the sword in his hand. Demonic power formed a blade’s aura on the sword, then fiercely cut towards those in front.

Behind him, a dozen wolf cavalry members also drew their blades. Despite facing hundreds, they remained fearless.

From past experience, these bottom-level cannon fodder dare not resist against the wolf cavalry, as resistance would only trigger more brutal massacres. Over time, the Eight Tribes of the demon clan developed a natural sense of superiority over other demon clans.

Only this time, the face-to-face confrontation by the wolf cavalry misjudged the situation, and they faced a group intent on survival.

If you’re not allowed to live, then fight to the death.

Moreover, the Phoenix Flame burning within their bloodline put these demon clan warriors in a hyperactive state; fear and anxiety were non-existent.

The wolf cavalry centurion’s strike was surprisingly blocked by a giant bear warrior’s massive wolf fang club, the centurion’s eyes gleaming with fierceness: “Seeking death.”

However, before the centurion could finish speaking, the giant bear warrior erupted with demonic power, massive strength directly springing the opponent’s blade away. Before the centurion could react, he was swept by the bear warrior’s wolf fang club.

Although the wolf cavalry is elite among the wolf clan, they are light cavalry, whereas the giant bear warrior is a power element of the demon clan, wielding a hefty club. The wolf cavalry centurion couldn’t compete, and was instantly knocked tens of meters back, blood gushing like a sieve.

In mid-air, the centurion saw the demon clan warriors surging through the dark night, realizing this was not a mere desertion from the Fire Phoenix camp.

This was rebellion.

Moreover, the other side seemed to have used some method to envelop the camp, so they hadn’t detected anything amiss.

The centurion watched his dozen wolf riders being engulfed by the Fire Phoenix Army without a ripple, nearby supporting teams of ten per hundred were similarly lost, almost struck down upon contact with the Phoenix Army.

Is this Fire Phoenix Army insane?

Who gave them the courage to rebel?

Nearby the Fire Phoenix camp is a wolf cavalry battalion of a thousand, scattered over a range of several kilometers. Almost immediately, this thousand-strong wolf cavalry was devoured by the surging Phoenix Army.

And the strongest chiliarch among them, a third-class demon general, didn’t even manage to scream before having his head severed.

The entire wolf cavalry battalion monitoring the Fire Phoenix camp was annihilated, and the fog over the wilderness thickened further, soon spreading to the wolf clan’s camp.

Sizzle, sizzle.

The water vapor touched the campfire, sizzling, and the wolf clan warriors on the watchtower, witnessing the sudden fog, didn’t take it too seriously.

From the Fire Phoenix camp to the left camp of the wolf clan, it’s merely two or three kilometers. Without fog, one could see the Fire Phoenix camp directly from the watchtower.

Evidently, the sentry didn’t notice anything unusual, after all, from their bones, they looked down on the cannon fodder of the Phoenix camp. As for the garrison at the First Line Pass, they’ve been camping here for over a month without witnessing any assaults by the garrison.

Naturally, the sentry’s investigations were slack and careless.

Those who first reached the wolf clan camp were not demon warriors of the Fire Phoenix Army, but a few hundred of the elite White Tiger Guard, who after two or three days of recovery, although not at their peak, had regained their strength seven to eight tenths.

In the past, as one of Ancestor Dragon City’s aces, even the most bottom-level soldiers of the White Tiger Guard were at the Golden Core Realm, not to mention those surviving repeated battles who were even more elite.

Moreover, having been sealed for two hundred years in the Peach Blossom Secret Realm, their spirit and will hadn’t collapsed. Those who endured, after leaving the Secret Realm and receiving resource supplies, almost all saw improvements in the strength of the White Tiger Guard.

Several hundred of them, equivalent to the Demon General’s power, struck the left camp as fog arose, with the sentries and patrolling demon clan having virtually no power to resist, instantly meeting their demise.

Not only because of surprise, but the demon clan camp, though seemingly heavily guarded, was actually slack from top to bottom.

The White Tiger Guard tore open the camp, allowing tens of thousands of fiery Fire Phoenix soldiers to almost unimpededly charge into the left camp.

“Didn’t expect it to be this smooth.”

Everything went so smoothly that Ouyang Tianshu suspected it was a trap. Li Feng said, “This is only the beginning. We’ve gained an unexpected advantage; the real action comes next.”

“In the left camp, there are a hundred thousand elite wolf cavalry, one demon general, no less than ten demon kings, and several hundred demon generals. The priority now is the decimation of leadership.”

“Though the fog can buy us some time, it’s not much. Within fifteen minutes, we must completely rout the wolf clan elite and drive over a hundred thousand demons towards the central camp.”

“Tonight’s plan is to strike forcefully all at once. If blocked and the Three Marshals stabilize their position, we will be defeated.”

“Ten thousand garrison troops from the First Line Pass have secretly left the pass, approaching the Bull Clan camp. If we can break the wolf clan camp, the ten thousand cultivators will directly attack the Bull Clan camp.”

Ouyang Tianshu understood the undertones in Li Feng’s words. Relying solely on the tens of thousands of Fire Phoenix soldiers could hardly move the demon camp with millions of troops.

Only with heartfelt cooperation can we possibly create miracles.

“Alright, go ahead as planned.”
