Chapter 73: 73 | Everyone Has a Plan

"Now that I’m bound, tell me about your functions." Emma sat up straight, her business mode kicking in. "How sure are you that Dante will fall for me if I do the missions? And what do I get from completing them?"
She would normally ask all of this before accepting a deal, not after. But her instincts had always been right, and if she could get Dante out of it, the risk was worth it in her books.
[I’ll start with the most important question.]
[If you justfulfill the requirements of every mission, Dante will fall for you. 100%.]
[As for the functions and rewards, you will receive missions and be rewarded for completing them. The rewards can be anything.]
"Anything?" Emma caught the meaning of those words immediately. "Does that mean I can get something that can cure Dante’s condition?"
[That’s right.]
"Is that so?" A thought crossed her mind about using the cure as leverage to make Dante her boyfriend, but she dismissed it the second it appeared. She had decided to take the initiative, but she didn’t want to be that calculative when it came to their relationship.

[Chain Mission: Done Waiting!]
[Description: You’ve spent years waiting for Dante to get his head straight but that ends now. Show him you are done waiting! The Tempest Bay Business Gala is right around the corner. Take him with you as your partner, show him off, and let the entire city know he’s yours.]
[Reward: Frozen Spirit Bloodline Upgrade (Legendary) + Awakening]
[Failure: Bloodline remains dormant permanently.]
"Take him to the gala?" Emma raised an eyebrow after reading the description, but the reward didn’t seem to excite her at all.
"Can I change the reward to Dante’s cure? I don’t really have any interest in being an awakener."
[Are you serious right now? Do you know how many people would kill for a Legendary bloodline?]
"I don’t care. I don’t want to be an awakener until Dante’s condition is cured and I’ve achieved my goal of becoming the richest. The awakener stuff will just distract me."

Dante was silent on the other side after hearing her words. The more he listened to Emma, the more he wanted to punch original Dante in the face.
’She’s going this far for that guy and he couldn’t even get his own head straight. It seems like no amount of help would have saved that idiot from fumbling her.’
With that thought, he went back to work and started drawing a pie.
[Aren’t you being a bit too narrow-minded? I already told you that completing the missions will get you his cure. Besides, becoming the richest person in the world is already set in stone for you, isn’t it?]

Emma imagined herself training with Dante and saving him from danger and she was instantly tempted.
"Forget what I said. Now, do I have to wait for the mission to trigger?" She asked, curiosity lighting up in her eyes.
[No need to wait! The first task has already been decided.]

[Task 1: Wall slam Dante and make him agree to attend the gala as your partner.]
[Time Limit: 24 hours]
"A w-wall slam? And I only have 24 hours?!" Emma was flustered the moment she read her first mission.
’Can I really do that?’ As she thought about it, she couldn’t help but hesitate. Then she remembered what the system said about him being stolen from her.
’No. I have to do it!’ A determined look settled in her eyes and she clenched her fingers into fists.

A night passed quickly.
Emma spent most of it looking up tips and tricks for wall slams on UrTube, watching video after video until her eyes burned. Dante watched her feed for a while before going to sleep since he hadn’t slept the night before.
It was a good thing he didn’t check Natasha’s feed before closing his eyes.
If he had seen what she was up to, he would have lost another night of sleep.
In the morning, Emma and Dante arrived at the dining area after Natasha called them down. While eating breakfast, Dante mentioned that he would be going to the office today.
Emma, who had been racking her brain over how to bring it up, breathed a quiet sigh of relief after he made the suggestion himself.
Dante expected Natasha to tell him to rest another day or push back against the idea, but she agreed the moment she heard the words.
He was instantly suspicious.
She definitely had something planned for when they were gone.
After breakfast, both of them went upstairs to get changed. Dante dug through his closet and put on one of his suits.
"Took you long enough." Emma said with some annoyance, though her eyes wandered across his body for a moment.
Natasha walked them to the door. "You haven’t been to work in a while. Don’t push yourself too hard."
"Yes, Master." Dante smiled.
Before getting in the car, he turned back and waved. "We’ll be back by evening, Master."
"Mm. Be careful." Natasha said from the doorway.
The car pulled out of the driveway and disappeared down the road.
Natasha stood there until she couldn’t see it anymore. The calm smile on her face slowly shifted into something hurried and sneaky.
’Now then.’ She pulled out her phone and headed back inside. ’I have some shopping to do.’
Since she had decided to use her body as her weapon, she needed to upgrade her armor.
Her wardrobe severely lacked anything in the sexy department. So she had spent the whole night searching.
Lingerie, corsets, bodysuits, babydolls, fishnets, garter belts, bikinis, bunny outfits, nurse uniforms, and everything in between. She was going to fill at least five storage rings with nothing but sexy clothes and have one ready to go at any moment.
And at the very top of her shopping list, circled twice with a star next to it, was maid costumes.
After all, she saw exactly where Dante’s eyes kept wandering in that cafe.
By the time she was done, she would be like that purple potato man from the superhero movie.
One snap of her fingers and she could pull out any outfit for any occasion.
