Chapter 548
Chapter 548: Chapter 548
"Silvertail was the name that its creator gave it. The last owner honoured it. There was a clause in the contract that its name wouldn’t be changed," he informed them. "And I think Silvertail suits it just fine."
"It does." Ayesha laughed when she saw that the airship had a silver tail.
Even though she felt that the creator was being a little lazy with the naming, it was fine. The name was easy to remember and had a fun element to it.
Suddenly, their attention was on the back of Keith’s hand, where his Sacred Rune was shining.
"Looks like the guests have arrived. Let’s go." He said, and when he glanced at Ayesha, he found her a little lost as she stared at his hand.
A soft kiss on her cheek made her smile again, and when she met his eyes, her smile brightened and she tip-toed to sip his lips.
By the time their lips separated, they were back inside the dining room in the Black Nest, and their guests were indeed outside the house, being received by Venessa and Sibyl.
Keith suppressed his smile when he saw how restless Zilya felt after meeting Venessa, who had introduced herself as his sister and wife.
However, the little boy, Zyrios, was very excited to be there and happily ran over to greet Kiara and Alana, who then introduced Ayesha and Kashish to him.
"Do you want to meet your older sister?" Kiara playfully asked.
"Ingvild?"
"No, your real older sister."
"I have one?" He confusedly asked.
"No. But she is your cousin." The Eldeilyon teased the boy and then took his hand as she led him to the lounge where Harud was teaching an overly enthusiastic girl about how to play cards.
Zilya, as much as she wanted to go with them to meet Reha, held herself back and sat down at the table with the Demiliore Family.
"How many children do you have, Master Argus?" She curiously asked.
"A lot." And he smiled at her question. "Have you received an answer from your Uncle and Aunt?" He asked, and she nodded her head.
"They are coming back and will be here by tomorrow night."
"And how do you propose we make Reha’s identity as their daughter public?"
"We will keep it simple. She needs to be seen entering the city with them..." Zilya began telling them the details of the route that her Uncle and Aunt were taking, and the plan she had come up with.
Keith was impressed that she had taken into account every minor detail and that her plan could be considered perfect.
"We will do as you have proposed," he nodded to her.
"Are you heading to the Frozen Wasteland as well?" She asked, and he curiously raised his brow at her. "You were spotted in the City of Sin earlier today, and you purchased an airship."
"I did, yes." He nodded to her. "And I am going there."
"For the Key?"
"Of course. If I can get my hands on it, it will be great, but it’s more out of fun." He said and then looked into her eyes. "You should stop your husband from going there."
His words made her frown.
"He is a target, not just for the Elysians or the Orayens, but for the Vulcans as well."
"Vulcans have promised to protect us."
"But the Vows haven’t been taken yet." He meaningfully said. "Don’t you think Frozen Wasteland is the best place for accidents to happen? What happens if suddenly the Major Houses of Crystal City lose some of their important people, including their Heads? Would that not leave you vulnerable and make your families dependent on the Vulcan Crown even more?"
Zilya fell into deep thought after his words, and worries started gripping her heart.
"Of course, if he really wants that Key and it is worth risking everything, he should go there."
Soon, Sibyl and the girls brought their meal to the table, and Zilya broke out of her thoughts when Reha entered the room, happily chatting with Zyrios, who was holding her hand.
She did not know what she was expecting, but the Nemeron girl did not seem to be depressed.
The smile on her face seemed genuine. She did not seem to be under any threat and neither did she appear vulnerable to her fears.
"Lady Zilya." The girl even courteously greeted her, just as a Noble Lady should, and seeing how similar she looked to her late mother, the Nemerus stood up to pull her in a hug.
Out of love, she planted a kiss on her head, and then sweetly cupped her cheeks, looking into her eyes, which welled up in some tears.
Reha held them back and then quickly wiped away the one that threatened to escape her eye. Afterwards, she pulled out a letter from her Storage Ring and handed it to her.
"It’s from Grandfather."
"Thank you." She accepted it and took the letter, and then sat down at the table, opening it and reading through it.
It was quite lengthy and detailed, and not only included what happened to the Nemeron Family but also held some valuable information that could benefit the Nemerus and harm the Elysian Empire.
No one disturbed her as she read the letter, and most were busy chatting with Zyrios, who was excited to meet his cousin and had a lot of questions for her.
Zilya could not help but smile when she saw how extravagant this family was when it came to their meals.
Everything was heavenly delicious and of the finest quality, and even the wines and drinks were quite expensive, their rich aromas wafting gently across the table with each sip and bite.
Such a meal would have cost tens of thousands of Stones at the Hungry Cauldron, and no one at the table seemed to treat it as a big deal.
She quite liked how radiant this family was, where everyone seemed happy and content.
And one thing that she noticed was how frank the girls were with their father, and how respectful they were to their mother. It was quite clear which parent was the strict one and who was their favourite.
Another funny thing she observed was how much alike Argus and Evelyn were. Both mostly kept quiet, and only talked when they were pulled into the conversation by the girls.
Even the mannerism in which they ate their meal was identical, and more than once she caught them reaching for their glass of Mirium’s Rain at the same time.
They were undoubtedly siblings, perhaps even twins.
"Thank you for the Recovery Art, Sir. I practised it and it felt amazing." Zyrios suddenly spoke to Keith, and Zilya’s eyes widened as she realised she had also come here to thank him for such a precious gift that suited her child perfectly.
"Thank you, Master Argus. We are grateful you gave that Recovery Art to Zyrios. He slept very soundly in the afternoon."
"You’re welcome." Keith nodded with a smile, and at the end of the meal, went out to see their guests off.
Outside, the Nemerus Guards were visibly relieved to see their Mistress and Young Master safely come out.
Even though they had been assured that the Poison Master was a friend, they were still very restless to let him so close to Zilya and Zyrios, whom they were responsible for protecting with their lives.
Then again, could they be blamed? Poison Masters did not really have a good reputation in the world. And what was scary was that they could harm you even without you realising that you had been harmed.
Keith and Venessa returned to the lounge where Kiara and Alana were busy teasing Reha, who was extremely happy today because Harud had bought her some very pretty clothes.
The young Mir was sitting away from the rest, trying his best to focus on the book that he wanted to finish before the end of the week, but his restlessness at Reha’s love-sick comments was evident.
He was probably feeling cold chills with every word that she spoke, and the girls were thoroughly enjoying it at his expense.
"Do you want to stay here? I am going to Aerzar." He informed them, and everyone decided to stay at the Nest tonight.
Keith teleported himself to the Palace, in the garden, where under the shade of a tall tree, Qingyue was sitting with Thea in her lap, watching Amira, Reina, and Helena play with Gigi, whose melodious laughter could relieve even the most grieving hearts.
A little away from them, Yingying was training with the two Zurk brides of Victor, completely engrossed in the spar, but they all stopped and bowed to him when he passed by them.
"Where’s everyone?" Qingyue smiled at him and asked when he proceeded to sit by her side, resting her back against the trunk.
"Amaya," he informed her. "I am leaving for the Frozen Wasteland in four days."
"Why?" She curiously raised her brow at him.
"Another Key to the Prison Realm has surfaced. All the Major Forces of Westesia are heading there. They believe that it is the same key that Jaun lost."
Her expression froze at his words, and her brows deeply furrowed in worry and confusion.
"It isn’t real, is it?"
"It is real." He told her and then smiled at the baby who was smiling at him. "May I?" He asked, and Qingyue subconsciously handed Thea to him.
She was lost in her own thoughts now, and after hesitating for a while, she finally voiced out her concern.
"Don’t go. It is a ploy."
"I am aware. And I will be fine. Everyone else will stay inside Aerzar."
Keith suddenly sensed envy resonating in a very pure heart and raised his head to smile at the little girl, who was running towards him.
Gigi jumped right into his embrace when he opened his arm for her and giggled as she took her seat in his lap.
"Have you finished your training?" He gently asked her, and she nodded her head.
"I am strong now." She cutely claimed, clenching her fists, ready to punch the air.
"Good. We will test it out later. Do you want to see an airship?"
Her eyes sparkled at the mention of the airship, and even Amira, Reina, and Helena rushed over to express their excitement.
Qingyue silently followed them as he led everyone several miles away from the Palace, where a lush green Grassland was situated.
As soon as they saw Silvertail, they screamed in excitement, and they rushed right inside it to take a closer look.
"Where did you buy it from?" Qingyue curiously asked.
"City of Sin."
His answer surprised her, and then she raised her brow at him.
"Were Rebecca and Avriel there?"
"No." He shook his head.
She did not ask any more questions and just curiously toured the airship, checking out every space and finally, just like the rest, she expressed that she liked it a lot.
However, when he informed them about its name, Amira and Reina were the first ones to express their dissatisfaction, and pouted when he told them that the name would not be changed.
