Villainess Breaker: Raising Broken Beauties Against Destiny
Chapter 390: Damian’s International Wife Collection Tour
Cassandra leaned back casually in her chair and crossed one leg over the other. "Why the hell are we still overthinking this?"
Damian looked at her, confused.
Cassandra grinned and slowly dragged one finger across her throat. "Let’s just kill him now."
The room went quiet.
Damian stared at her for a moment before sighing.
He really should have expected Cassandra’s bloodier side to surface again sooner or later.
Cassandra noticed his expression and shrugged. "What? Didn’t you say that bastard is only in the Golden Core Realm? So what exactly are you worried about?"
She pointed at herself, then toward Serina and Miona. "You have three Peak Nascent Soul cultivators sitting right here."
Damian sighed again. "Yeah, yeah, I know. But did you forget what I told you? Nolan is a God-Chosen one, for heaven’s sake."
Cassandra waved one hand dismissively, a faintly vicious smile appearing on her face. "So what? Before, you were simply too weak to properly deal with him."
She tapped one finger against the table, her crimson eyes narrowing. "That doesn’t mean I’m going to sit here trembling just because some bastard has a fancy destiny. If he can bleed, he can die."
Damian stared at her for a second, then slowly turned toward Serina. "Alright, then let’s ask our ancient Empress instead."
He gestured toward her. "You should understand what I’m worried about, right?"
Serina looked between the two of them for a moment before nodding. "Indeed. Just like Damian said, people like the Chosen Ones really do exist. They aren’t just myths."
Miona stayed quiet at the side, which was enough to show that she agreed.
Serina rested one hand on the table. "There were people like that even in our era. Cultivators who seemed absurdly difficult to kill, survived disasters that should have ended them, and somehow turned every crisis into another opportunity."
She glanced toward Damian. "So calling them Heaven-Chosen isn’t entirely wrong."
Damian turned back toward Cassandra. "See? Even the ancient Empress agrees that people like that really exist."
Cassandra’s vicious smile slowly faded.
Damian continued, "So what I’m saying is, until at least one of us reaches the King Realm, I really don’t want to mess with Nolan directly."
Cassandra frowned and leaned back in her chair. "Yeah, yeah, I get it. But then what are we supposed to do? Just sit here doing nothing? You know I’m not exactly a fan of that."
Damian nodded. "Isn’t that exactly why we’re having this meeting in the first place?"
Cynthia, who had remained quiet until now, finally spoke. "Maybe we should stop limiting ourselves to the demonic side."
Everyone turned toward her.
Cynthia folded her hands calmly. "There are other empires we could go to."
Damian raised an eyebrow.
Cynthia continued, "We only came here in the first place to avoid Nolan. So if that’s still our main concern, wouldn’t moving to another empire actually be safer?"
She glanced around at the others before looking back at Damian. "Besides, Master, don’t forget that everyone here has basically finished dealing with their personal problems."
Her expression remained composed. "So there’s really nothing forcing us to stay here anymore."
Damian leaned back and considered Cynthia’s suggestion. "Another empire, huh..."
The more he thought about it, the more reasonable it sounded.
Serina smiled faintly. "I wouldn’t mind. It would be interesting to see more of this era."
Cassandra’s eyes brightened as well. "New places, new factions, new people..."
Her grin slowly turned dangerous. "And probably plenty of new idiots to kill."
Cynthia gave her a flat look. "That was not the main benefit."
Cassandra shrugged. "Still a benefit."
Damian laughed. "Alright, alright. Another empire sounds good."
He looked toward Cynthia. "So... which one?"
Cynthia answered almost immediately. "Why don’t we go to the Sakura Empire, Master?"
Damian paused. "Sakura Empire?"
The name stirred something familiar in his memory, though it took him a moment to place it.
Cynthia noticed his expression and continued, "Master, don’t tell me you forgot. You still have two very promising candidates there."
That was enough.
Damian’s eyes lit up as the memory finally returned.
Cynthia gave him a helpless look. "Master, seriously... how could you forget about Akane and Raika?"
Damian’s grin slowly widened. "Hehe... right. To think I almost forgot about those two."
Akane, the cheerful girl who had practically thrown a marriage condition at him before leaving.
And Raika, the cold thunder cultivator, who constantly acted like Damian annoyed her, yet somehow kept finding reasons to stay near him anyway.
Damian pointed toward Cynthia with approval. "As expected of you, Cynthia. To think you’d remember something this important before I did."
Cynthia remained completely calm. "You do have a lot of women to remember, Master."
Damian coughed. "That sounded strangely judgmental."
Cynthia’s expression didn’t change. "It was an observation."
Linsey immediately burst out laughing.
Miona looked at Damian suspiciously. "Potential candidates?"
Damian instantly avoided her gaze. "Long story."
Serina smiled knowingly. "I’m beginning to understand your lifestyle much better."
Cassandra chuckled. "So now we’re traveling across empires to collect more women?"
Damian raised both hands. "Hey, hey. We’re going there for opportunities, resources, alliances, and information."
Cassandra’s grin widened. "And women."
Damian paused. "...Potentially."
Miona rolled her eyes.
Damian ignored her and looked back toward Cynthia. "Alright then. Sakura Empire it is."
He stood up with renewed energy. "But one problem. Do you actually know how to get there?"
Cynthia nodded. "Yes."
She calmly reached into her storage ring. "I purchased detailed maps, along with several recent intelligence reports about the Sakura Empire."
Damian blinked, then smiled. "Cynthia... you really are one of the best women in this harem, you know that?"
Cynthia stood and gave him a composed nod. "Of course. If I’m going to keep up with everyone here, I need to be at least this prepared."
Her gaze drifted toward Serina, Miona, and Cassandra.
The three women simply grinned back at her.
Cynthia sighed. "Exactly my point."
Damian laughed and clapped his hands once. "Good! Then it’s decided."
He looked around at everyone. "Next destination, Sakura Empire."
