Chapter 425 Miona’s Fists Don’t Give Refunds

Seeing that none of the remaining cultivators dared to step forward, two figures finally emerged from the crowd.

The first was Takeda Shigenobu, the Fuku-Taishō and vice-commander of the Kurogane Guild.

He was a stern-looking man with a powerful build, carrying a long black katana that radiated a sharp, oppressive aura.

Beside him stood Kurotsume, the vice-leader of Yamikarasu, a lean masked man wielding a pair of curved short blades.

Unlike the previous cultivators, neither man appeared particularly intimidated by the bodies scattered across the battlefield.

Miona immediately noticed something different about these two.

Both possessed cultivation at the Peak Nascent Soul Realm, and judging by the powerful auras radiating from their weapons, they were wielding treasures of at least Top Rank Royal Grade.

Her lips slowly curled into an excited grin.

Shigenobu stepped forward, raising his black katana as he stared directly at Miona. "I am Takeda Shigenobu, Fuku-Taishō of the Kurogane Guild."

Beside him, the masked ninja slowly crossed his curved blades before introducing himself in a cold voice. "Kurotsume, vice-leader of Yamikarasu."

However, Miona merely tilted her head, looking completely unimpressed by their introductions. "Huh? Why are you two telling me your names?"

Both men frowned slightly.

Shigenobu narrowed his eyes. "It’s customary for warriors to introduce themselves before facing worthy opponents."

Miona stared at him for a moment before suddenly bursting into laughter. "Hahaha! What a waste of time."

She casually raised her gauntlet-covered fists, a fierce grin spreading across her face. "I don’t need to remember the names of dead people."

Shigenobu’s expression immediately darkened, while Kurotsume tightened his grip on his blades.

Miona simply beckoned toward them with one hand. "Now quit talking and come at me. Let’s see if you two can actually entertain me."

Shigenobu’s expression darkened at Miona’s provocation, his grip tightening around the hilt of his black katana. "You’re really getting ahead of yourself, woman."

Without another word, he stepped forward, his powerful Qi surging through the blade.

[Kurogane Style – Eightfold Severing Path]

His katana flashed through the air as he advanced with precise, calculated footwork.

The first slash swept toward Miona’s shoulder, followed immediately by a diagonal strike aimed at her waist.

Miona leaned aside, allowing both attacks to pass harmlessly before shifting her footing to avoid the third.

However, Shigenobu didn’t give her any breathing room.

His fourth and fifth slashes came from opposite directions, forcing Miona to twist her upper body before taking a quick step backward.

Meanwhile, Kurotsume had already disappeared from her field of vision.

Two curved blades suddenly emerged from Miona’s blind spot, sweeping toward her ribs from opposite directions.

Miona’s playful smile faded slightly as she realized how well the two men were coordinating their attacks.

She immediately twisted her body, catching one of Kurotsume’s blades against her left gauntlet while ducking beneath Shigenobu’s incoming katana.

CLANG! CLANG!

Sparks scattered through the air as the weapons collided.

However, Kurotsume immediately spun around her, slipping behind her back while Shigenobu stepped forward to block her escape route.

For the first time since entering the battlefield, Miona found herself being pressured from two directions.

Yet instead of becoming frustrated, her grin only widened. "Hehehe. Good. Now this is what I wanted."

She tightened her fists, her Raging Ocean Qi surging through her arms. "Let’s see how well you can handle this."

[Raging Ocean Punch]

Miona suddenly planted her foot and drove her right fist directly toward Shigenobu’s incoming katana.

BOOOOM!

A tremendous impact erupted as her gauntlet collided with the black blade.

The force blasted Shigenobu’s katana sideways, sending violent shockwaves through his arms and forcing him several steps backward. "Damn it. What ridiculous strength!"

However, Kurotsume didn’t hesitate.

Taking advantage of Miona’s extended arm, he immediately lunged from behind, his curved blades flashing toward her exposed back.

Unfortunately for him, Miona had already sensed his movements.

She pivoted sharply on her front foot and swung her elbow toward his attacking wrist.

Kurotsume barely managed to withdraw his arm, narrowly avoiding the counterattack.

Even so, he maintained his momentum, dropping into a low stance as his body twisted like a serpent.

[Shadow Serpent Reversal]

His curved blades swept horizontally toward Miona’s legs, attempting to sever them before she could regain her balance.

Miona immediately jumped, allowing the twin blades to pass beneath her feet.

However, the moment she rose into the air, a powerful aura suddenly appeared above her.

Shigenobu had already recovered.

Using the opening created by Kurotsume’s attack, he leaped above Miona, raising his black katana high over his head. "Let’s see you dodge this."

[Heavenly Falling Samurai]

His katana descended with tremendous force, carrying a concentrated wave of sword Qi.

Miona’s eyes narrowed.

Unable to change direction quickly enough while airborne, she immediately crossed her gauntlets above her head.

BAAAAANG!

The katana slammed against her crossed arms, sending an enormous shockwave through the surrounding air.

Under the combined force of Shigenobu’s attack and his downward momentum, Miona was driven straight toward the ground.

BOOOOM!

Her feet struck the arena floor, cracking the stone beneath her as dust and debris erupted around her body.

Shigenobu immediately jumped backward, putting some distance between them while Kurotsume silently repositioned himself.

For a moment, Miona remained standing inside the crater. Her breathing had grown slightly heavier.

However, it wasn’t because she was exhausted or struggling to endure their attacks.

Rather, she was becoming increasingly excited. "Hahaha. Not bad. Not bad at all."

She slowly straightened her back and rolled her shoulders. Only then did she notice a shallow cut along one of them.

A thin line of blood trickled down her skin, apparently caused by the sword Qi that had slipped past her defense.

Miona glanced at the wound before touching it with her fingers. "Hehehe. You actually managed to cut me."

Her grin widened as she raised her gaze toward the two men. "Alright. Looks like I need to get a little more serious."

Shigenobu narrowed his eyes, immediately raising his katana into a defensive stance.

Kurotsume, meanwhile, disappeared into the surrounding shadows once again.

However, Miona couldn’t have cared less. She lowered her body, clenched both fists, and suddenly rushed straight toward Shigenobu.

[Ten Furious Waves Fist]

Her right fist shot forward, carrying a concentrated surge of Raging Ocean Qi.

Shigenobu immediately positioned his katana horizontally, reinforcing the blade with his own Qi.

BANG!

The first punch struck his sword, sending a powerful vibration through his arms.

Shigenobu gritted his teeth but successfully held his ground. "Hmph. That’s not enough to..."

BANG!

Before he could finish speaking, a second impact erupted through the blade.

His expression immediately changed. "What?!"

BANG! BANG! BANG!

A third, fourth, and fifth impact followed in rapid succession.

Each successive wave of force was stronger than the last, hammering against his defense without giving him any opportunity to recover.

Shigenobu desperately circulated his Qi, attempting to reinforce his sword and stabilize his stance.

However, the sixth and seventh impacts drove his feet backward, carving deep grooves into the arena floor.

’Impossible. Why does the force keep increasing?’

BAAANG!

The eighth impact finally overwhelmed his defense.

His arms were violently pushed aside as the black katana was knocked away from his chest, leaving his upper body completely exposed.

Shigenobu’s eyes widened in horror. "No, wait!"

Unfortunately, Miona had no intention of stopping.

BANG!

The ninth impact struck his exposed body, shattering his remaining defensive Qi and forcing a mouthful of blood from his lips.

Miona then stepped forward, twisting her waist as the final surge of Raging Ocean Qi gathered around her fist. "Hehehe. Here’s the last one."

BOOOOOOM!

The tenth impact struck Shigenobu directly in the chest.

His ribs shattered instantly as the tremendous force tore through his body.

Blood sprayed from his mouth as he was sent flying backward like a cannonball.

CRAAAAASH!

He slammed into the distant arena wall, leaving an enormous crater before his broken body finally collapsed to the ground.

The powerful Fuku-Taishō of the Kurogane Guild was dead.

However, Kurotsume showed no hesitation at the sight of his fallen companion.

After all, he was an assassin, and an assassin’s duty was to exploit every possible opening.

While Miona was finishing her final punch, Kurotsume had already emerged from the shadows behind her. "Now die."

His twin blades flashed forward, aiming directly for her neck.

Miona immediately sensed the approaching danger. She twisted her upper body, narrowly avoiding the first blade.

However, the second managed to graze her shoulder, leaving another shallow cut.

Slash!

Miona barely reacted to the injury.

Instead, her hand shot forward, catching Kurotsume’s wrist before he could withdraw his weapon.

CLANG!

The masked ninja’s eyes widened in shock as his arm suddenly stopped moving. "What?!"

Miona tightened her grip, a fierce grin spreading across her face. "Hehehe. My turn."

She pulled him toward her, planting her feet firmly against the ground as a tremendous amount of Raging Ocean Qi gathered around her free fist.

[Tsunami Impact]

BOOOOOOM!

Her fist slammed directly into Kurotsume’s abdomen.

The impact folded his body around her punch, shattering his ribs and sending a violent shockwave through his internal organs.

Before he could even scream, the accumulated force erupted outward, launching him across the arena.

CRAAAAASH!

His body struck the arena wall with terrifying force, leaving another massive crater beside the one created by Shigenobu.

Kurotsume’s broken body slid down the cracked stone before collapsing motionlessly onto the ground.

He, too, was dead.

Just like that, two Peak Nascent Soul cultivators had fallen before Miona’s fists.

Meanwhile, Miona remained standing in the middle of the battlefield.

She casually rolled her shoulders, stretching her arms as she glanced toward the two corpses. "Damn... It’s been a while since I’ve had to put this much effort into a fight."

She exhaled slowly before shaking her hands, loosening her fingers inside her gauntlets. "Hehehe. A little tiring, but that was actually pretty fun."
