Villainess Rampage: The Whole Sect Begs for Mercy
Chapter 684: Another One?
‘What does she mean, Master’s little apprentice?’
‘If Song Wanning is the little apprentice, then what am I?’
A shadow passed over her face, and she nearly lost her composure.
She had thought Song Wanning just got lucky, but she never imagined their master would value her so highly.
Situ Yue felt her position was threatened, and her gaze toward Song Wanning turned hostile.
“You’re saying she received Master Daoqing’s inheritance?”
Feng San’s voice shot up, his eyes wide with shock.
Ouyang Lin also stared at Song Wanning in astonishment.
To have obtained Master Daoqing’s inheritance and be valued so highly, her talent must be extraordinary.
A sudden sense of crisis welled up within them.
‘Song Wanning knows Alchemy!’
“That’s right!”
Lan Yue nodded.
Feng San’s expression froze for an instant, but his loathing for Song Wanning only deepened.
‘Just as I’d expect from someone Master detests. She’s actually connected to that scoundrel Daoqing. No wonder Master hates her so much!’
He shot Song Wanning a sinister glance and said with a smile that didn’t reach his eyes, “Well, congratulations are in order for you, Senior Sister Lan Yue.”
“However, Song Dao You accepted this wager herself. It has nothing to do with whether or not she’s a disciple of Master Daoqing.”
“Have you forgotten the rules of the battle stage?”
He stared coldly at Lan Yue, his competitive spirit now fully ignited.
“Ouyang Lin, what are you waiting for?”
Feng San turned and shot Ouyang Lin a subtle glare.
Once a duel on the battle stage has begun, there’s no stopping it.
Ouyang Lin understood. He raised his eyes to look at Song Wanning.
A jet-black spear materialized in his hand, his fighting spirit flaring.
Song Wanning also slowly withdrew her gaze.
She finally understood who Lan Yue and the others were. She hadn’t expected disciples of Senior Daoqing to come and back her up.
A faint smile touched her lips, a warmth spreading through her heart. At the very least, she could feel Lan Yue’s concern for her.
But since she had accepted this battle, it had to go on.
Yet, before the two could begin, Lan Yue drew her Longsword and pointed it at Feng San.
“Feng San, what do you think you’re doing?”
“You know perfectly well that Junior Sister Song has only just ascended, yet you use your position to bully her. This is going too far!”
“Since you love challenging people to duels, do you dare accept a challenge from me?!!”
‘It can’t be changed, can it?’
‘Fine!’
‘Feng San won’t be getting off easy, either!’
The moment she said this, Feng San’s face turned black.
The surrounding disciples were also stunned. They never expected Lan Yue to challenge Feng San to the battle stage.
Wouldn’t Feng San be utterly crushed?
The onlookers’ expressions grew complicated, but Lan Yue didn’t budge an inch, her gaze fixed firmly on Feng San.
Song Wanning thought for a moment but remained silent.
‘The current situation is no longer just about them backing me up,’ she thought. ‘It involves old grudges between two factions.’
“You—”
Feng San hadn’t expected Lan Yue to pull such a dirty trick. For a moment, he was at a loss for words.
Lan Yue’s Cultivation was far superior to his. If he accused her of bullying him with her strength, he would be calling the kettle black.
After all, their original goal was to put Song Wanning in her place and vent their frustrations…
They couldn’t exactly argue on the basis of principles.
Feng San’s jaw twitched, but he couldn’t bring himself to agree.
Just then, another voice broke the silence.
“What’s all the commotion? I heard a pretty new sister joined the Sect, so I came to take a look!”
The newcomer was dressed in red robes, his black hair draped lazily over his back. He had a languid air about him, tinged with a hint of Evil Qi.
The moment he appeared, the surrounding disciples fell silent, wishing they could hide behind the nearest pillar, terrified of being noticed by him.
“Brother Luo!”
Feng San started, his heart instantly sinking.
‘Why did I have to run into this devil!’
‘Didn’t they say he’d left with Master Feng?’
Luo Xingyao didn’t answer. Wherever he walked, the crowd obediently parted.
In a matter of moments, a clear path opened up before him.
Song Wanning raised an eyebrow. ‘This man’s aura is something else. He looks like trouble.’
But strangely, as he walked over, he suddenly gave her a flirtatious wink.
Song Wanning froze for a second before a thought struck her. “Are you Senior Feng’s disciple?” she asked.
‘If he wasn’t Senior Feng Jiuxiao’s disciple, there’d be no reason for him to show up and stir the pot.’
“You got it!”
A smile flickered in Luo Xingyao’s eyes as he looked at Song Wanning with newfound interest.
“Little Junior Sister, I’ve been waiting for you!”
The crowd erupted at his words.
What in the world was going on?
Wasn’t Song Wanning connected to Immortal Lord Daoqing?
Now she was mixed up with Feng Immortal Monarch, too?
Just what kind of prodigy was this Song Wanning?
Everyone was utterly baffled, including a dumbfounded Lan Yue.
Feng San and his group were frozen in place, their expressions shifting rapidly.
Situ Yue’s face fell, her expression twisting for a moment in pure jealousy.
‘Just a mere Song Wanning… why are so many people coming out to support her?’
Mo Yang Immortal Venerable, Daoqing, Feng Jiuxiao…
Every single one was a highly revered figure in the Sect!
This infuriated her.
‘I was supposed to be the one everyone doted on! All those powerful figures should be fawning over me, not Song Wanning! How could she steal my spotlight?’
At that moment, a seed of enmity was planted in Situ Yue’s heart. Even without a direct conflict, she had already grown to despise Song Wanning.
“Brother Luo, I already have a master. I cannot take another.”
Song Wanning explained apologetically to Luo Xingyao.
But deep down, she was thrilled. Her parents had been worried she would have no support after ascending.
It seemed her backers were more formidable than she could have imagined.
She couldn’t help but smile at the thought.
Luo Xingyao watched her radiant, flower-like smile, his eyes narrowing slightly.
“No problem. Master said that you are her designated Closed-door Disciple, and my one and only junior sister!”
“From now on, our Sky Covering Peak is your home!”
He’d been observing from the shadows for a while, so he naturally knew what Daoqing’s faction was planning.
But that wouldn’t do. ‘The little junior sister belongs to our Sky Covering Peak!’
‘I finally have such a beautiful junior sister after all this time. I absolutely cannot let someone else snatch her away!’
“Feng San, are you sure you want to compete with my little junior sister today?”
Luo Xingyao ignored Song Wanning’s refusal, his voice a low threat.
Feng San tensed, a sudden chill running up his spine.
They truly wanted nothing to do with a character like Luo Xingyao.
This was because the man’s talent with Arrays was terrifying. Even though his Cultivation wasn’t much higher than Feng San’s, his combat prowess was off the charts. He’d even used Arrays to trap and kill a Heavenly Immortal once.
On top of that, the man held a grudge like no other. If you crossed him, you were guaranteed to suffer for it later.
You wouldn’t die, but you’d wish you had!
Just thinking about it gave Feng San a headache.
To make matters worse, Master Feng’s own power was exceptional. Her mastery of Arrays was considered unrivaled in the entire Immortal Realm!
He had originally intended to vent his master’s anger, but now, he was filled with regret.
After all, Master Feng wasn’t like Mo Yang Immortal Venerable, who remained aloof from worldly affairs. She was known to actually intervene!
Feng San was completely cornered.
