Chapter 33: Hurry!

"Ah?" Pan Hailin was confused, but her body instinctively followed Huo Yingsu’s instruction as she stepped on the gas.

There were indeed more and more cars on the street and traffic jam could be said to be extremely common at this hour. With so many people coming back from work, it would be a miracle for the street not to be empty.

Through the mirror, she could see the strange black swarm in the distance. It was getting closer and closer.

Huo Yingsu’s expression was solemn. "Where’s your home, Pan Hailin?"

"I live in an apartment nearby."

"Go there directly!"

If it was not because her driving skill was questionable, Huo Yingsu would have long proposed for her to be the one driving instead of Pan Hailin.

She glanced to the back and her expression was somber.

"Ahhhhh!"

Various screams rang out in the distance but Huo Yingsu knew that they were coming closer and closer.

These evolved insects would target one person in the beginning and then they would target other people only after they were satisfied.

In other words: as long as there were more people than the number of evolved insects, other people should be safe.

It’s a cruel method.

But for the sake of survival...

Most people would not care about the people around them and simply focus on their own survival.

Everyone tried their best to run faster, at least faster than one person.

Otherwise, they would be the one caught by the evolved insects and would probably die a miserable death.

She turned to look at Pan Hailin. "Go to your home and lock up everything around you. Stay there and don’t come out until those things disappear!"

"I’m going back to my home," Huo Yingsu replied without hesitation and then added, "Hurry up!"

She had to find a save place and rest temporarily.

She better blocked the door first and then set up some insect net around the door and the windows.
