Huo Yingsu saw the barrage flashing at rapid speed and she immediately left her position and jumped back without hesitation. The spear that she carried with her was also picked up, pointing straight in the direction of the door.

A black haired young man was standing there, a knife brandished in front of him. His red eyes stared straight in Huo Yingsu’s direction, sending chills on her back.

Beside him was a brown haired young man who was carrying a gun and pointed it in her direction...

If that brown haired man wanted to shoot her, she wouldn’t be able to resist in the slightest bit.

"She’s not a zombie, Ye Lin," the black haired man said as he lowered his weapon. Though, his eyes were still lingered on Huo Yingsu’s hands

Well, it was obvious that he was somewhat worried about it.

"Are you sure?" The brown haired man who’s called Ye Lin, frowned slightly but he still lowered his gun.

"There shouldn’t be any zombie in this world," The black haired man said calmly.

"But it’s not impossible for these evolved insects to parasite someone! You have to be more careful, Yichen!" Ye Lain complained.

The black haired man ignored him and turned around without hesitation, apparently finding Huo Yingsu nothing more than an ordinary person whom he could ignore and forget.

Ye Lin didn’t linger either. He nodded at Huo Yingsu and then walked away, not caring about the other party.

But Huo Yingsu looked at the two of them and then spoke out, "You two... are researchers in during that presentation, right?"

The two people stopped and turned around.

Their eyes seemed to be scanning through Huo Yingsu, seemingly trying to see through her. In that moment, Huo Yingsu even felt danger and tightened her grip on her spear.

It’s a dangerous move.

But she needed to ask them something.

And for them to be able to pretend to be officials researchers instead of ordinary attendants meant that they should be quite powerful.

People like them would not need to kill newbies.

...That is if they could guess that she’s indeed a newbie.

"She’s a newbie," Ye Lin replied with a bright smile. One of his eyes turned white for a moment, seemingly eerie yet very handsome and charming at the same time. He was scanning Huo Yingsu with great interest.

The black haired man stared at Huo Yingsu before he spoke, "What do you want?"

Huo Yingsu keenly felt that something was wrong with the way he spoke, but she still asked, "I just want to ask... do you know if there are still many evolved insects in that laboratory?"

She didn’t remember whether these two people ran away with the crowd or stayed behind in the laboratory for some reasons. After all, there was still the third mission that they have to complete.

Ye Lin blinked his eyes and his heterochromatic eyes turned normal, both were black in colors and he still has the same confident smile on his face. But the way he looked at Huo Yingsu made her feel as if he was assessing her.

This made her feel somewhat uncomfortable.

"I don’t know," the black haired man replied.

"Oh." Huo Yingsu nodded, not pestering the two of them anymore and instead took a step back as if telling them that she had nothing else to say.

But the black haired man looked at Huo Yingsu for a moment and then asked, "What’s your name?"

"Shouldn’t you introduce yourself before asking for someone else’s name?" Huo Yingsu asked back with a frown.

"Han Yichen."

Is this his real name?

Huo Yingsu couldn’t really guess whether this man was telling the truth or not, but seeing his red eyes staring straight in her direction, she finally said, "Huo Yingsu."

"Well, I’m Ye Lin." The brown haired man waved his hand energetically and then said, "The two of us are planning to enter the lab again on the dawn of the fifth day. If you want to come along, you can come with us."

Did they seriously invite a stranger with them?
