Chapter 7: Survival Points

Huo Yingsu had never done anything illegal in her entire life.

The worse that she had ever done was probably peeking on some inappropriate content in the internet, especially during strange chat bot attack that suddenly came to the social media and chat message app that she used in the past.

She didn’t dare to click it, though.

Now that the barrage mentioning replacing someone else’s identity, Huo Yingsu would like their guidance.

Whether they would correctly guide her or mess around was another matter altogether.

The barrage was lively.

Huo Yingsu didn’t know how many people were watching her live broadcast, but there should be more than 10 people or it wouldn’t be this lively.

This was the only good side from the Live Stream Horror Survival Game.

All the data from the live stream was the pure, unaltered data. Each and every single one of them was a real human (or perhaps other creature?) being who could communicate freely.

She didn’t know about other live broadcast in the Live Stream Horror Survival Game’s popularity.

But she knew that some people did like to watch the newbies section rather than the powerful ones.

Perhaps, their real joy came from watching these newbies suffering.

*sigh*

’Knocking someone out, huh?’ Huo Yingsu thought about the feasibility of this plan and felt that it was quite good.

She had spent more than an hour classifying the data for her work and then asked some questions to the barrage.

There were only a few hours before the start of the apocalypse.

The main reason was naturally because of the players were not allowed to truly blend like the natives here. Some players even thought of these people as NPC as they thought that they were inside a game.

But Huo Yingsu knew that they were in another world.

A smaller world struggling for the sake of survival due to the apocalypse that happened so suddenly.

Identity: HR Employee of the J Medical Research Company

Mission: [1] Survive for 5 days

[2] Investigate the truth of the apocalypse cause

[3] Retrieve the USB drive containing the apocalypse source information

Return requirement: Complete at least one mission ]

Huo Yingsu looked at her data once again and her eyes fell on the mission number 3. Since the mission was to retrieve the USB drive, it meant that the cause of the apocalypse should be related to human intervention.

Coupled with her current work...

It could only be failed experiments or something like that.

’Since that’s the case...’

Huo Yingsu turned to look at Pan Hailin and asked about the other people who were given the same tasks. Pan Hailin readily pointed to her a few people, some of whom were working diligently and some others were looking around nervously.

Seeing those people who were not working seriously, Huo Yingsu: "..."

They were definitely players.

But since these people hadn’t provoked her, Huo Yingsu would not do anything to them either.

She is not a murderer.

If they didn’t provoke her, then Huo Yingsu didn’t really want to do anything to them either.

It was unnecessary.

’In this case, I have to find some other researchers and possibly trick them to a secluded place. It would be better if I can find a place without surveillance cameras to start my action.’ Huo Yingsu’s eyes drifted towards the surveillance cameras around the room before lowering her eyes.

She continued typing on the computer, diligently recording the data that she could receive within such a short period of time.

When she came here, it was already 1 PM.

This is already fifteen minutes after 2 PM.

People will go off work at 4 PM to 5 PM as she was not entirely sure abbot the schedule for this company.

Huo Yingsu couldn’t possibly ask blatantly, can she?

It would be the same as admitting her players’ background.

Seeing the other suspected players fidgeting on their seat, wanting to go but not daring to go, Huo Yingsu understood that they were afraid of being targeted.

This should have been a normal office environment.

But the suffocating truth presented through the mission panel told them that this place would turn into a bloody mess in just a short period of time.

And Huo Yingsu knew that she couldn’t stop it.

The Live Stream Horror Survival Game would never allow it.

Even if they tried to spread the news of the impeding apocalypse through the internet and tried to gather people to figure out some methods of survival, many people would not believe them easily without any evidences.

So...

If they wanted to convince others, they had to present the irrefutable evidence.

But even then, there were definitely many stubborn people who would not listen to them and felt that they were playing pranks.

After all, the Live Stream Horror Survival Game would never give them any important identity such as the president of the country or something like that.

Absolutely impossible.

So those kind hearted people who wanted to save as many people as possible would only end up losing their lives in the process.

Huo Yingsu knew this very well.

Because in the novel she read about the Live Stream Horror Survival Game, someone did try and eventually died because of the white eyed wolves around him.

It was extremely tragic.

Even if this is not the same world, Huo Yingsu has no desire to stand up and try to save other people.

She just need to save hers.
