Villainous Family Young Master: My Life is Over
Volume 3: Chapter 31 - Returning to Anglus Family
(Robert's Perspective)
A massive train resembling a locomotive from the early to mid-20th century raced along the railway, its steel wheels striking the tracks with a rhythmic metallic sound.
Click-clack—Click-clack—Click-clack—
From a distance, it looked like an old-fashioned steam locomotive.
Its large cylindrical engine, metallic body, exposed mechanical components, and several heavy passenger carriages gave it the appearance of something belonging to an entirely different era.
Brilliant blue light continuously flowed through the intricate Magic Circuits embedded throughout the locomotive, resembling veins of energy running beneath its metallic exterior.
Every rotation of the engine converted magical energy into enormous propulsion.
Despite its antiquated appearance, its speed was comparable to that of the bullet trains from my previous world.
Vmmmmmm—!
A deep vibration traveled through the entire carriage as the Magic Train accelerated.
The scenery outside the window immediately began to blur.
Trees, fields, rivers, and distant villages flashed past at astonishing speed.
A gust of wind swept past the windows as the train tore through the countryside.
I rested my head against the window and watched the scenery disappear behind us
Then I looked down at the Golden Fox resting in my lap, lost in thought.
Originally, I planned to leave Elize to Reina and Aina since my situation at Anglus family wasn't very good. Bringing Elize back might not be a good choice.
I believed that they would take care of Elize. After all, both girls liked Elize very much.
But when I was leaving, Elize jumped directly into my arm, refusing to stay in Astrea family.
Maybe it was due to Spirit Contract or due some other impulse but when Elize wanted to leave with me, i couldn't refuse her.
"Really, what was I thinking..." I couldn't help but sigh.
However, i didn't regret bringing Elize back with me. After all, she was my saviour. Bringing her back might not necessarily bring trouble.
Rubbing Elize's soft fur, I also recalled my time at the Astrea family.
To be honest, I envied both Reina and Aina. Not because of their talent but because of their birth and living environment which was far better than Anglus family in my opinion.

However, I also knew I was also an object of envy for many people.
So I wouldn't fantasize about how great it would have been if I hadn't reincarnated as a noble, or if I had been the child of an ordinary farmer.
Because no matter who you reincarnate as, you can't have everything; it's just a different perspective from which to continue envying others.
The only thing I could do was cherish this hard-won bond between us.
So I would definitely keep this friendship in my heart.
Next day, I returned to the Anglus mansion.
This meant that I still had 9 days left before the Royal Academy began.
The moment I returned, what met my eyes was a crying Lia.
"Brother Robert. You, don't scare me like this next time. Lia was really worried this time." Lia's body was trembling but she hugged me tightly, refusing to let go.
Because of this, Elize even jumped out of my arms and ran up to my shoulders in order to avoid being squeezed.
Looking at her tearful face, I sighed and gently hugged her back.
"It's fine. Aren't I okay now? Don't worry, nothing will happen to your brother."
I could understand Lia's feeling. If I was in Lia's place, I would be just as worried as her.
"Hmm!" Lia nodded slightly but she hugged even tighter, almost making me groan from pain.
Was this girl that strong physically?
Just as we were enjoying siblings moment alone, a maid interrupted our reunion.
"Young Master Robert, Lord Bahod has called for you."
"Hm! I understand." Looking at the maid, I suppressing the churning in my stomach and nodded lightly.
"Lia, wait for me, brother will come back to play with you after seeing father. Until then, you can play with Elize."
I picked up Elize from my shoulder and handed her to.Lia then rubbed her head gently.
"Hm!" Lia nodded slightly while holding Elize.
It seems she didn't mind waiting for a while...
But in a place I didn't notice, Lie's eyes turned slightly cold while holding Elize.
Following the maid, I soon arrived at the study.
Entering the study, I saw Marquis Bahod sitting on a chair, looking cold and serious.
"Father, you called for me?"
"Yes. Sit down!" Marquis Bahod nodded and said in a cold voice.
Maybe it was my illusion but Marquis Bahod looked at me with kind eyes.
Illusion, it must be an illusion.
Sitting down, on a chair opposite to Marquis Bahod, I looked at him, feeling a little nervous.
"Robert, I saw the letter. You encountered an attack from the Love God Cult." Marquis Bahod swirled a cup of tea and said lightly.
"Hm!" I nodded.
Before coming here, I had already expected him to ask about this matter.
Although I didn't know what exactly happened after I fell unconscious, probably not many survived.
The Empire must be looking for Elize at the moment since she was the one who solved this incident.
Presumably, Marquis Bahod called me here for a similar reason.
"In that case, do you know what exactly happened? Who saved you and where is he? I would like to thank him for saving my son."
Heh, what a nice way to say things? Now you know I am your son.
Hearing the words, I couldn't help but sneer internally.
Fortunately, I was already prepared to be questioned.
"I don't know, the last thing I remember is a red magic circle covering the entire carriage. Afterwards, I don't remember much. It was as if my consciousness has become muddled and everything fell into darkness."
"Later, I woke up in an Astrea family of Moonlight City. They told me that they found me in the Outer Edge of the Eldoria Mountain Range. Other than that, I don't know anything."
I lightly shook my head at the end then sighed lightly, "If I could, I would also like to thank my benefactor. But I really don't know who saved me."
"I understand. Don't worry too much about it. That person may be a recluse who doesn't want to interfere too much in the world." Marquis Bahod nodded slightly and the trace of warmth in eyes disappeared completely.
"Putting that matter aside, do you have any idea why the Love God Cult attacked the Magic Train?"
"No, I don't know. However, I remember they were looking for someone to be their Saint. This is most likely the reason they attacked the Magic Train." I shook my head then said with some doubt.
"I understand, you can go back now."
"Then excuse me father."
I got up and bowed lightly then left the study.
