Chapter 1319: Chapter 566: Musillon Night Talk (2)

The Lady is the current empire’s respectful term for Emmanuelle, who holds three great noble titles. Otherwise, every time Emmanuelle, with the top titles of Duchess of Nuer, Brescia Prince-Elector, and Duchess of Weisen, makes an appearance, it would require a lengthy introduction, which seems overly complicated among the common people. Thus, the citizens of Nuer gradually used a single title, "Lady," to refer to Emmanuelle, and this title quickly became popular among the upper nobility.

At these words, Laine smiled meaningfully. He could see that Dietrich and Boris both held Emmanuelle, also known as Amelia, in high esteem. It’s unknown what means the young maid used, but she really managed to discipline Nuer from top to bottom. When it comes to the losses caused, both Imperial Generals seem a bit apprehensive.

Teresa, sitting next to Laine, suddenly spaced out.

The female sorcerer was dressed today in a night court star pearl floral off-shoulder dress, revealing her snow-white and delicate shoulders. This, paired with her icy beauty and captivating looks, emphasized her proud demeanor and her aloof nature. Unlike Veronica, Teresa never wore low-cut clothing, and the length of her dress slightly covered her knees without revealing her thighs. Her long, straight beautiful legs extended from beneath the skirt, and her exquisite feet, without stockings or high heels, were simply bare in a pair of flat wood elf-style sandals, with her toenails painted in blue nail polish. She sat quietly beside Laine, recalling past events.

Amelia is Emmanuelle! It was unexpected that the former female mercenary has now become one of the most powerful individuals in the empire. The female sorcerer reminisced about this with a feeling of life’s unpredictability. Back then, Laine and she both felt that the female mercenary was somewhat extraordinary, but none really imagined she would...

Thinking of this, Teresa suddenly directed her gaze towards Laine.

Indeed, who could have thought? Ten years ago, the White Wolf Knight who adventured alongside her has now become the Duke of Musillon and the future King of Brittania?!

"If Amelia... Emmanuelle brings this up, just tell her that I’m the one who should apologize. For reclaiming Musillon, the Imperial Army contributed significantly to this war. If you tell her that, she certainly won’t blame you." Laine said with a smile.

"Thank you very much!" Dietrich and Boris had been waiting for this, and the two Imperial Generals immediately expressed their gratitude.

"The Imperial Army has many lessons worth learning. During this war, I’ve learned a lot." At this point, sitting beside them, the newly appointed Baron of the Sharp-Top Palace, Lucian, spoke out while placing a sausage onto his plate, "Mr. Dietrich, Mr. Boris, when you return to Nuer, could you mail me a set of military training materials? I can cover the postage and book costs."

"This matter is not difficult." Dietrich nodded, this fifty-something seasoned veteran: "Leave it to us, Lord Lucian, but you need to provide us with your mailing address and contact information, and Musillon doesn’t have a postal system. We can only send it to the capital of Winford Duchy, Helunhilde, or Lord Laine’s Gene Town."

"Then please send it to Gene Town." Lucian immediately gave them an address.

Laine paused for a moment and suddenly said to Lucian, "Lucian, is everything okay on your end? Do you need me to send someone to help you?"

"If so, that would be great, my Duke." Lucian was momentarily stunned, quickly reacting with gratitude, "Thank you very much!"

Laine awarded the Sharp-Top Palace and its surrounding areas to this young knight from Winford Duchy. Yet, amidst all the allocations, the land Lucian received might be the poorest.

This doesn’t refer to the poorest quality of land because the marshes near the Sharp-Top Palace are notoriously fertile. This refers to the town, which, in a series of previous wars, was entirely melted, meaning Lucian was asigned a piece of land without any proper military defensive infrastructure. Within Musillon’s currently unsafe environment, whether this knight can protect his domain and its people remains a big question.

This troubled the newly appointed Baron of the Sharp-Top Palace quite a bit. Other barons, even if receiving castles that had been breached, at least had castles available for repair and reuse. In his case, however, it turned into a genuine blank slate, and Lucian knew he had the least seniority; being awarded the title of baron was already fortunate, so he had no complaints.

Repairing an old castle might cost five hundred Gold Crowns, enough to fix it up decently, but building a new one would make the thousand Gold Crowns gifted by Laine insufficient, particularly for Lucian.

A Pure-blooded Elf Warhorse is worth a thousand Gold Crowns, and it’s not even available on the market.

"Hmm, after you return to Glamorgan, go and find Kasenberg. He’ll help you, but my assistance is secondary; primarily, it depends on you." Laine advised his subordinate Baron, "If possible, involve the merchants and those Churches. Don’t forget, the floating bridge near the Sharp-Top Palace is one of the rare key transportation hubs across the Grismore River!"

"Understood!" Lucian thought for a moment and quickly grasped Laine’s intentions.
