Chapter 1439: Chapter 612: The Cooperation of Slaanesh and Tzeentch
"That day, when you went to the Imperial Royal Zoo, this hotel attendant came in to clean." Two women stood in the ice cellar, looking at the body. In Ollica’s amber eyes, there was a hint of seriousness: "At the time, I just felt that this attendant was a bit abnormal, so I paid attention."
"Abnormal? In what way?" Surya lowered her head to examine the body that was now encased in ice. It was a very normal hotel attendant. There were no wounds on his body, and he was neatly dressed, only showing an extreme terror on his face before he passed.
"His shoes." The Dark Elf pointed to the hotel attendant’s shoes: "As a server, he wouldn’t, and couldn’t, wear a pair of white shoes, which is very unusual for an attendant."
Surya looked down and noticed that the hotel attendant indeed wore white shoes. The female knight squinted her eyes: "Ollica, you’ve found a blind spot."
Generally speaking, people working in this industry wouldn’t wear white shoes. Such shoes are not resistant to dirt and can easily get dusty and stained. Like in Laine’s castle, all the maids wore black shoes, with the only difference being that Ollica wore high heels, while Amelia and Sylvia preferred small leather shoes.
If this were a less formal place, it would be understandable, but this is the Imperial Royal Hotel, the most formal place.
"After I noticed something was wrong, I immediately followed." The Dark Elf said seriously, standing still: "I followed him to the von Slek family’s residence, and sure enough, he came with a purpose."
"A purpose, what purpose?" Surya inspected the body herself but couldn’t find anything more. Gradually, the female knight understood: "He was just a scout? Wait, was it you who committed the von Slek massacre?!"
"Yes." The Dark Elf had no guilt whatsoever, speaking as if she had just slaughtered a few chickens: "I did it."
"How could you?" Surya instinctively frowned, displeased with the Dark Elf’s actions.
"Would you rather see Devenhill in trouble? This was the simplest and most effective way, Madam, and what I discovered is far beyond this." Ollica remained unbothered or perhaps she simply didn’t care: "If you wish to listen, you can listen on. If not, you can leave immediately."
In Surya’s beautiful sea-blue pupils was reflected the figure of Ollica. The female knight placed her hand on the hilt of the Leonais Sword and closed her eyes: "Go on."
"I followed this Slaanesh Cultist here and learned of their plan." The Dark Elf shared what she had learned with the Duchess.
After following the Slaanesh Cultist to the von Slek residence, Ollica had eavesdropped on the Slaanesh Cultists’ plans. It was the largest hidden Slaanesh Cult in the Empire, a secret plan meticulously devised over the years by the Association of Pleasure Seekers.
This plan had been in preparation for a long time.
The Association of Pleasure Seekers conspired to use a fake child to replace Laine and Amelia’s son, Little Frederick!
"After eavesdropping on the information, these Slaanesh Cultists intended to cast a spell using Little Frederick’s hair they found on the carpet, and I stopped them." The Dark Elf toyed with a pair of Butterfly Daggers in her hands. These daggers were specially designed by Dwarf Craftsmen Delong Feinson at Laine’s request for the Dark Elf, equipped with the ’Swift Rune’ and ’Reaper Rune.’ The former could quicken Ollica’s actions, and the latter allowed her to absorb a bit of the dissipated life force of an enemy upon a successful close-range kill, partially restoring her stamina.
"You stopped it? Does that mean the plan has been halted?" Surya, still bewildered by the situation, probed further: "You killed them all, does that affect their plan? Why did you feel the need to act?"
"No impact." The Dark Elf coldly shook her head, her Butterfly Daggers fluttering like butterflies in the air: "From what I gathered by probing souls, there are at least a dozen Slaanesh Cultist noble family bases lurking in Brunswick’s wealthy district. Spread throughout the city, the Association of Pleasure Seekers has hundreds of secret posts, and these posts aren’t connected except in hierarchical relations. They operate with extreme caution. Eliminating just one base wouldn’t affect their overall plan."
"After eliminating this group, I controlled a dead person to remain active at the spot for several hours to rid myself of suspicion." The Dark Elf summarized, "I thought it was necessary to let you know."
"Why then did you notify me and not Laine or Amelia?" Surya’s expression became more serious after learning of this information: "You should have told the three of us!"
"Master’s activity is too noticeable." The Dark Elf shook her head calmly. "His every move attracts countless attention. If he knew, he would undoubtedly let the Association of Pleasure Seekers notice and expose themselves, and we might never root out this Slaanesh Cult. Hence, I decided not to inform the Master for the time being."
"Then why not inform Amelia?" Surya continued to ask.
The Dark Elf didn’t answer, she just silently gazed at Surya, saying nothing.
