Chapter 764 - 763: Oh My Sweetheart (Part 7)
Chapter 764: Chapter 763: Oh My Sweetheart (Part 7)
The little charmer pushed away the food she didn’t like, speaking so sweetly.
Unaware of the truth, Sharon and the old man were utterly moved, continuously praising the little girl.
Bella listened silently at the side, holding her bowl and eating.
After lunch, the little girl had to go to her music class in the afternoon, so Sharon took her there.
Bella also had to return to the hotel to avoid being unreachable when Cynthia looked for her.
After seeing the three off, the old man immediately called Damian.
Damian had just finished negotiations with a company in Moridia, and as he walked out of the meeting room, he answered the call, "What are you bragging about now?"
"Bragging my ass, you brat, do you know your wife is being bullied?!" The old man shouted.
Damian frowned, "Things here are already settled, I’ll be flying back today."
"You better come back quickly, or you won’t even know when your wife is bullied badly, what’s the use of having you around!" The old man snorted and said, "If I didn’t want to give you a chance to act like a hero in rescuing the damsel, I would have solved the issue for Young Acker already."
"A little patience prevents bigger problems; don’t forget what you promised me." Damian walked along the wide and bright corridors of the office building, clutching his phone; this would be another branch of Kingston Group.
"Rubbish! If I didn’t remember, I would have already acted and not let Young Acker suffer this kind of grievance." The old man scoffed, "Stop the nonsense and get back here fast, earning so much money you can’t even spend it, what’s the point."
Damian sighed, "Her career will inevitably involve Moridia; if I don’t prepare in advance, how can I protect her if she gets bullied here and I’m far away?"
"Enough, enough, stop being so cheesy in front of me; if you’re brave, say this in front of Young Acker." The old man was quite disdainful, "Brat, even if it’s important to take actions, sometimes you also need to speak; if you don’t say it, how will Young Acker know anything, how will she thank you?"
"I don’t do these things to earn her gratitude."
The elevator arrived, and Special Assistant Lawson and the easy-going secretary immediately stepped in first, holding the elevator door.
Damian stepped in and said, "I’m in the elevator; I’ll return to the country tomorrow, hanging up." He said, then ended the call.
Special Assistant Lawson immediately said, "Boss, Shirley Caldwell had many photos unfavorable to Ms. Acker taken and posted online; please take a look." Saying this, he handed over the tablet he was holding.
Damian took it and flipped through the photos, "Why didn’t you buy these photos in advance?"
"We bought them, but Shirley Caldwell personally posted them." Special Assistant Lawson lowered his head, not daring to face his boss’s current expression.
Though his first instinct told him the woman in the photos couldn’t be Ms. Acker, that woman’s face was almost identical to Ms. Acker’s; what if it really was Ms. Acker...
Would the boss blow up The Caldwell Family upon seeing these photos?
"That’s not Bella." Damian returned the tablet to Special Assistant Lawson, his expression remarkably calm.
Special Assistant Lawson subtly breathed a sigh of relief, seeing his boss so composed, it seemed it really wasn’t Ms. Acker.
That’s right! With a man like the boss who has the looks, the body, and the wealth, how could Ms. Acker possibly be interested in the sleazy guy in the photos?
Damian continued, "Keep a close watch on Shirley Caldwell’s every move. Have a few mainstream media outlets informed so that when Bella’s studio issues a statement to counter this, they can push it forward and guide the public opinion."
