Chapter 860: Chapter 859: The Idea of Starting a Business
Bella Acker was speechless.
With so much competition in the entertainment industry, countless fresh faces get famous overnight. She didn’t have much fame yet. If she didn’t work more, what would happen in the future?
Sooner or later, she’d be wiped out on the beach.
Bella Acker thought and blurted out, "If I don’t act, will you support me?"
"Sure." Damian Sinclair nodded lightly. "You can keep my bank card, credit card, and house deed."
Bella Acker was stunned. She was just trying to retort, never expecting to say that aloud. Meeting Damian Sinclair’s gaze, she wished she could find a hole to crawl into.
Damian Sinclair was eager for her to let him support her. He felt she should have her own things to do when she wanted, and rest at home if tired. How nice would that be?
Bella Acker silently ate a bite of food, then righteously said, "A woman without her own career, without economic and personal independence, will lose confidence. Without confidence, it’s easy to overthink and become anxious, losing oneself. I don’t want to be that kind of woman."
"Who said not acting means you won’t have your own career?" Damian Sinclair said. "Are you planning to just let the money sit in your bank account and let the bank use it for you?"
"What else?" Bella Acker blinked her eyes, puzzled.
Damian Sinclair sighed, putting down his chopsticks, "Haven’t you thought about using the money for investments or opening some shops?"
His words awakened her, and Bella Acker began tapping her lips with her chopsticks, seriously contemplating Damian Sinclair’s suggestions.
It made sense.
The money in the bank was just a number; the bank was investing it to earn money. She might as well find a way to make use of it herself.
But what should she do? She knew nothing about investments and would still end up relying on Damian. That wouldn’t be her own independent career, and that wouldn’t work.
Maybe opening a shop, that seemed feasible.
Damian Sinclair used his chopsticks to move Bella Acker’s chopsticks away from her lips, saying, "Don’t keep the chopsticks on your face, be careful not to poke yourself. Let’s eat first; you can think about it after dinner."
Bella Acker put down her chopsticks and smiled at Sharon Cheney, "Godmother, what do you think I should do with the money I have?"
"Didn’t Damian suggest you consider investments?" Sharon Cheney, who usually didn’t eat much at this time of night, had a little soup and some tofu and greens. Seeing Bella Acker asking her, she gently put down her chopsticks and replied.
Bella Acker shook her head, "Investments won’t work; I know nothing about it. Even buying financial products would be like feeling my way in the dark, it’s not practical."
Damian Sinclair looked at her, "You can ask me about things you don’t understand."
"If I ask you everything, how will it be my own entrepreneurship? No way," Bella Acker said. "Godmother, you know a lot of people; what do they usually do as side businesses?"
"There’s quite a variety," Sharon Cheney said. "If we set investments aside, let’s talk about running physical businesses. Some open restaurants, some open hotels, some open clothing stores, and some open bars. Others start a training school, hire professional teachers, and sometimes teach acting themselves. You know, among the business places you often see, many people are trying their hands at these."
"Right, I can do something I personally like," Bella Acker thought for a moment, and her eyes lit up.
