Wasteland: I Awakened A Plant System

Chapter 329: Snape Arrived

Meanwhile, inside the luxurious room, Lilith sat gracefully on the edge of the large bed. She had no idea that a massive explosion had shaken the outside world earlier. Her mind was entirely occupied with one question: ’Would Vikram come?’

She had strictly ordered her subordinates not to disturb her under any circumstances. Because of this, no one had dared to report the commotion outside. The room remained quiet, illuminated only by soft, warm lighting.

Lilith’s fingers gently twisted the edge of her silk robe as she replayed the earlier scene in her mind. When Vikram had rejected the beautiful girl she had offered him, she already understood the truth. His interest wasn’t in that girl, it was in her.

Although she was naturally flirtatious with customers to grow her business, Lilith was, in reality, completely pure. At twenty-five years old, she was still a virgin. She had guarded herself carefully all these years in the brutal wasteland.

She knew Vikram’s feelings toward her weren’t love. He simply desired her body. Yet, for reasons she couldn’t fully explain, that realization didn’t repel her.

Instead, something inside her had stirred the moment she sensed his desire. After seeing his strength, his calm dominance, and the way he looked at her, Lilith made a decision she had never made before.

She would give herself to him.

That was why, when he had turned to leave, she had boldly called out, offering him a "special gift" if he came to Room No. 101.

A soft knock sounded at the door.

Lilith’s heart skipped a beat. She stood up slowly, her cheeks warming slightly as she adjusted her robe.

"Come in," she said, her voice soft yet steady.

The door opened, and Vikram stepped inside.

When Vikram stepped into Room No. 101, he paused for a moment, taking in the scene before him.

The room had been meticulously prepared like a honeymoon suite. Soft, warm lighting from red and golden lanterns bathed the space in a romantic glow. The large bed was adorned with fresh flower petals scattered across silk sheets. A faint, pleasant fragrance of incense and roses filled the air. Bottles of fine wine and two elegant glasses waited on a small table beside the bed, while delicate curtains framed the space, creating an intimate and seductive atmosphere.

Lying gracefully in the center of the bed was Lilith. She wore a sheer, crimson silk robe that clung to her alluring figure, her long hair cascading over her shoulders.

A mischievous smile slowly spread across Vikram’s face. The sight of her instantly ignited his lust. For a brief moment, all thoughts of Snape and the possible attack on his territory vanished from his mind.

Lilith looked up at him, her lips curving into a seductive smile.

"You came," she whispered softly.

The moment he heard her voice and saw that smile, Vikram’s desire erupted completely. Without hesitation, he crossed the room in a few strides and climbed onto the bed. He pulled her into his arms, holding her soft, warm body tightly against his chest.

"Of course," he said, his voice low and husky with desire. "Why wouldn’t I come when such a beautiful woman is waiting for me?"

Lilith’s breath hitched slightly as she felt his strong arms around her. Her cheeks flushed, but she didn’t pull away. Instead, she leaned closer, her fingers gently tracing his chest.

While Vikram was busy in lovey dovey with Lilith, he hadn’t anticipated that a group of people had already gathered outside his territory.

"Boss, we’re outside that kid’s Shelter. Should we move immediately?"

"Nonsense, of course we should! Not only should we move, but we should use the most ruthless methods. It would be best if we could level his proud turtle-shell Shelter!"

At this moment, Snape, sitting in the passenger seat, spoke ferociously into the communicator.

Today’s auction had been a series of setbacks, and all of them were damn caused by one person.

Not only had he lost face completely, but he hadn’t even gotten his hands on the most precious treasure of the auction.

With new grievances and the old grudge of his son’s death intertwined, Snape wished he could fry Vikram alive.

Rushing back to the Shelter for now, though he couldn’t inflict any substantial harm on Vikram himself, destroying the other party’s Shelter would make it much easier to deal with this brash young man who kept targeting him later.

On the other end, Snape’s subordinate immediately understood, waving his hand, and more than hundred Survivors behind him instantly climbed the wall together.

This wall was fine for blocking some zombies that couldn’t climb, but for Survivors with astonishing physiques and intelligence, scaling it was no difficult task at all.

In just a blink of an eye, more than thirty Survivors tumbled over the wall like dumplings, falling inside.

"Brother Ticky, this kid didn’t even leave any guards when he went out. What a fool, hahahaha!"

"Then this time, we’ve truly captured that kid’s weakness without any effort."

Dozens of survivors climbed over the wall without any obstruction, finding it exceptionally easy, and triumphant smiles immediately appeared on their faces.

However, before these smiles had lingered on their faces for long, a sound that made their pupils shrink shattered the peace.

"Swoosh!"

An arrow accurately struck the forehead of the person who had just spoken, instantly ending his life.

This wasn’t over. Before they could react, a series of dense swoosh rang out again from the front.

"Swoosh Swoosh Swoosh!"

This group of theirs had all reached thirty points in physique, making them an elite team, yet they still couldn’t be immune to these arrows.

Even though they scattered and hid behind trees the moment the swoosh rang out again, five or six people were still hit in different parts of their bodies.

"Damn it, who is firing an arrow, with so much precision?"

As Green Wind Shelter members, they had seen hot weapons several times before.

However, up until now, the most powerful firearms they had seen were submachine guns, like MP5s.

And even that gun bullets didn’t harm them, but this arrow was superior to them.

Even more terrifying was that the opponent was like a ghost, completely unfindable, yet kept firing at their hiding spots as if possessing x-ray vision

At this moment, both Archy and Ranzy were staying in the observation room.

They were looking at the group of people who had hidden behind the trees. However, that didn’t stop them from firing.

To them, these people were marked targets and nothing more.

In order to kill these people with their own arrows, they even controlled the wall mechanisms and all the vines, preventing them from harming the intruders.

They also stopped the other Treekins and Druids from interfering.

"Should we begin?" Archy asked, looking at Ranzy.

"Of course," Ranzy replied.

They looked toward an intruder who was hiding behind a tree, and then fired an arrow.

With a swooshing sound, the arrow flew toward the tree, and then, defying all logic, it suddenly changed direction, curved around the trunk, and pierced the intruder hiding behind it.

"Ahhh!"

The invading Survivor screamed and fell to the ground.

Seeing this, the other invading Survivors were truly in a dilemma.

If they advanced, they would become targets for those arrows.

If they didn’t advance, they were still targets.

And if they retreated, Snape would flay them alive.

While the people were still thinking, a few more became targets of the arrows and were killed.

Only a little over ten minutes had passed, yet thirty out of the hundred-plus people were already dead or injured.

If it weren’t for the trees inside the perimeter wall providing cover, they probably would have all died by now.

The person leading the team gritted his teeth. Retreating now was indeed inappropriate.

If this surprise attack failed, the other party would definitely be on guard, and trying something like this again would become almost impossible.

"Just use the explosives and blow up the hilltop directly. Anyway, the boss said to be as ruthless as possible and not worry about anything else."

After speaking, he took the lead, pulling out a bundle of homemade explosives, igniting them, and throwing them in one swift motion.

Although his current position was still some distance from the hilltop, that distance was nothing considering their physiques.

However, to avoid the arrows, they could only throw the explosives roughly in the general direction before quickly ducking back into cover.

This made their accuracy highly questionable.

Many explosives landed uselessly on the ground, causing dirt to fly and rocks to scatter.

But there were still a few lucky hits.

Especially the leading Survivor. No wonder he could become the team leader. One homemade explosive directly struck the Shelter’s disinfection corridor.

"Boom!"

Accompanied by a loud roar, the ground trembled slightly.

However, the power of homemade explosives was truly limited. At this stage, they caused almost no damage to the metal structures.

In addition, their throwing accuracy was mediocre. Even after launching a barrage of explosives, apart from plowing up the ground inside the Territory, the explosives they brought ran out without causing any significant threat.

It could only be said that Vikram had truly invested heavily in building the Shelter.

However, all the Survivors who exposed themselves while throwing explosives immediately became open targets for Archy and Ranzy’s arrows.

One after another, they were shot down.

Even the fires caused by the explosions quickly vanished after someone threw water on them.

After all that struggle, an entire hour had been wasted.

Coupled with the time they had already spent at Vikram’s Territory, a total of two and a half hours had passed.

Just as this group of people began to feel despair and marvel at how incredibly tough Vikram’s turtle shell was, the sound of a vehicle horn came from outside the perimeter wall behind them.

"Beep beep!"

It was Snape, who had rushed back non-stop from Crimson Desire Shelter in the middle of the night.

As soon as he got out of the car, he and Edmund, the only one who returned with him, immediately scaled the perimeter wall.

As expected, they were also met with arrows.

However, the outcome was completely different from before.

Although not easily, they were able to dodge the arrows and arrive behind a tree.

As soon as he made contact with the previous team leader, Snape slapped him across the face.

"What the hell are you people good for?!"

"There’s only a handful of people in the Shelter, and your team of one hundred and twenty-three couldn’t take it down in an hour?"

The Survivor who had been slapped felt his cheek slowly swell, but he didn’t dare talk back to Snape and could only explain, feeling wronged.
