Weakest Beast Tamer Gets All SSS Dragons

Chapter 1104 - Taming the Wall - Rescue Components - 2

Chapter 1104: Chapter 1104 - Taming the Wall - Rescue Components - 2

That consistency possessed absolutely nothing casual or coincidental about it.

But Julius and Selphira didn’t argue.

They didn’t try to restrain her or downplay the threat. They understood the urgency of the moment far better than Luna did, because they actually knew the truth of what was happening in those ruins...

They only made one demand: she had to take Larissa with her.

It wasn’t a request for a chaperone. It was cold, military tactical logic.

If the situation turned apocalyptic, Larissa’s winged fusion could forcefully transport the two of them out of the hot zone vastly faster than Luna’s Celestial Tiger could run on the wind. Furthermore, even with both of them deployed, the city still retained more than half of its elite defensive vanguard.

It was an equation that balanced perfectly into an acceptable risk.

Luna didn’t waste breath on a verbal response. She simply spun on her heel and summoned her tiger, silently confirming that their analysis was correct, and she had already run the exact same calculations herself.

When Luna arrived in front of her, Larissa mounted her Lynx without a word.

They launched into the sky together, streaking toward the horizon.

As they rapidly closed the distance to the anomaly, the mana readings changed.

The colossal, oppressive auras of the Platinum beasts hadn’t diminished. They were still massive, and they were rapidly approaching the surface.

But Luna and Larissa weren’t focusing on the monsters. They were desperately scanning for the other signatures.

The now small ones.

They were searching for the human tamers who were supposed to be somewhere beneath that scarred earth. But even with Luna and Larissa’s hyper-tuned, elite perception, it was agonizingly difficult. The human signatures were so impossibly faint they were practically indistinguishable from the ambient static of the battlefield. They were almost entirely extinguished.

Almost.

Luna felt it first. Ren’s specific mana signature registered against her perception even when inside a shadow. It was as intimately recognizable to both Luna and Larissa as the aura of someone who had fundamentally become a part of their own souls.

It didn’t matter how faint the volume was; they knew the exact texture of his energy.

And there was someone else very recognizable for Luna.

But what the mana reading told them made their blood run cold.

It was the ragged, dying pulse of someone who had completely emptied their core, pushed past every conceivable limit, and was currently existing solely through pure, irrational stubbornness.

He was hovering on the absolute razor’s edge of death.

Still soaring through the air, high above the giant trees, Luna and Larissa looked at each other.

Their eyes were wide, heavy with a profound, terrifying worry.

There were no words. There was no need for deliberate discussion or grand declarations.

The synchronized fusion of the two girls ignited the exact millisecond the decision was made. Above the giant forest, Larissa’s wings of pure light violently tore open the sky.

Utilizing the ultra-fast, long-range spatial transport that only a Light-aspected fused double tamer could execute with such blistering speed, Larissa bypassed the physical distance entirely.

The world blurred into a series of staccato, blinding flashes. In the time it would have taken any other vanguard to simply formulate a battle plan, the two girls materialized high in the sky directly above the clearing.

Hanging suspended in the air gave them a flawless, instantaneous panoramic view. Their hyper-tuned perception read the entire chaotic battlefield in a fraction of a second.

They saw the massive sinkhole.

They felt the suffocating, oppressive auras of the Platinum and High-Gold mutants churning in the depths below. And exploding out of the shadows of that abyss was Sirius Starweaver. He was leaping forward, moving with the desperate, ragged momentum of a man running on absolute fumes, driven solely by a burst of wind mana.

And directly behind him, a colossal, mountainous mass of armored plating and jagged teeth was closing the distance at terrifying speed.

Luna didn’t have the luxury of time to process the sheer, impossible miracle unfolding beneath her. Her father had been ripped from his crystal prison.

He was breathing... He was running.

Ren had actually achieved the impossible without even warning her, a reckless, insane reality Larissa had hastily outlined for her during their frantic flight to arrive here.

But the overwhelming joy of seeing him alive meant absolutely nothing right now.

Because the colossal maw of the Platinum beast was snapping shut directly behind him.

The girls locked eyes for a microsecond.

They nodded.

Still in freefall, their hands tightly locked together, their double-fusion fully active, they began to charge their combined strike. It was the exact same multi, now dual, element ray they had used to pull Ren back from the brink of corruption, only this time, they were operating without Liora’s spiritual anchor.

Luna ruthlessly dumped most of her mana pool into the crushing gravity of Darkness. Larissa mirrored her, weaving the searing brilliance of Light.

They needed maximum, devastating output. The signatures directly beneath them were Platinum-tier, backed by dozens of High-Gold anomalies pouring out of the sinkhole. These were big threats that needed to be violently corrected right now, before they could breach the perimeter and scatter across the open plains.

Their evaluation was made in real-time, based entirely on the visible flow of mana: Sirius still possessed just enough residual kinetic energy to throw himself clear at the very last possible second. That meant they could drop the hammer on the exact coordinates he was about to vacate, obliterating the beast without catching him in the crossfire.

It was a perfectly clean, clinical strategy, built on the solid assumption that Sirius, carrying Ren in his shadow, would absolutely refuse to be devoured while he still had a single drop of mana left to dodge.

But Sirius ruined the plan...

Instead of using his final surge of energy to leap to safety, he refused to move. He violently threw Ren’s shadow away from his body. Then, he triggered his own fusion, turning to face the abyss in a suicidal final stand.

"NO YOU FOOLISH FATHER!"
