When I Achieved Sainthood, the Immortal Official Actually Called Me to Raise Horses!
Chapter 624: The Suppressing Floating Mountain
A violent storm raged across the heavens and earth. Dust, mixed with shattered bones, swirled chaotically, as if the very world itself was enraged, punishing all beings who dared to offend it.
Tens of thousands of Dao Court cultivators stood in formation, their ranks stretching over millions of miles. Their boundless Dao force coalesced into a vast azure formation, its radiance piercing through the clouds. Within the light, shadowy figures of blue fish flickered, while within the formation, azure winds formed streams of energy, flowing toward seven great cultivators.
These seven were all Profound Origin Free Immortals, their cultivation unfathomable. Their combined Dao power was so immense that even the tens of thousands of cultivators maintaining the formation trembled, struggling under the immense strain.
Yet despite their overwhelming strength, they were locked in battle against a hundred-zhang-tall figure, unable to move it an inch.
This colossal being, bare-chested like most Congenital Human Race fiends, had disheveled hair and wielded a dark long blade in his hand. A swirling crimson aura surrounded him, repelling all incoming spells and divine abilities from all directions.
No matter what level of Dao techniques the Dao Court Free Immortals unleashed, they could not break through the barrier of blood energy that surrounded him.
His eyes remained closed as if he were still in slumber, undisturbed by the attacks raining down upon him.
Meanwhile, waves of cultivators continued rushing in from afar, joining the siege against this ancient fiend.
Among them—Wushi’s forces had also arrived.
An Shengtian’s eyes widened as he swallowed hard. “What realm is this guy even in?”
Each cultivator within the Dao Court’s formation felt unfathomably powerful to him—let alone the seven Free Immortals within the core of the battle.
For such an overwhelming force to still fail in subduing a single fiend of the Congenital Human Race—how was that possible?
“If we eliminate him, we might be able to put an end to the calamity the Congenital Human Race has brought upon the world.”
Lu Xian murmured thoughtfully. The stronger the enemy, the more excited he became.
If the Dao Court could resolve the Congenital Human Race crisis, there would be no opportunity for them to shine.
Suddenly—
A majestic presence surged from behind the Wushi forces, shocking them into turning around.
Not just them—even the cultivators engaged in battle instinctively looked back.
A radiant streak of light sped through the sky like a soaring sun, blazing brilliantly as it streaked across the heavens.
In the blink of an eye, this streak of light passed over Wushi’s forces and entered the formation’s core effortlessly, as if the formation’s restrictions did not apply to it.
As the light settled, its brilliance dissipated, revealing a white-robed Daoist standing in midair.
He had crane-white hair, youthful features, and a dust whisk in hand. His long eyebrows and flowing beard gave him an aura of ethereal transcendence, as if he had stepped out of a painting of celestial beings.
His gaze fell upon the hundred-zhang-tall fiend, and he spoke in a calm tone.
“Senior Zhu, it has been a long time.”
This was none other than Yuan Songzi, the Lord of the Dao Court.
The moment Yuan Songzi arrived, the Dao Court cultivators collectively breathed a sigh of relief, smiles spreading across their faces.
The Dao Court was an alliance of numerous sects, and for so many factions to unite under a single banner, their leader had to be an individual of unmatched power.
The great cultivators present were all high-ranking figures within the Dao Court, and each had personally witnessed Yuan Songzi’s might at some point.
To them—Yuan Songzi was the strongest existence in this battle.
If he was here, then victory was assured.
The hundred-zhang-tall fiend finally opened his eyes.
He gazed at Yuan Songzi, his fierce and savage features betraying no hint of emotion.
“You are called Yuan Songzi, correct?” His voice was deep and ancient. “For you to have reached this Great Thousand World, and even possess such immense fortune, is no easy feat.”
Yuan Songzi smiled slightly. “It has been countless years since we last met. The world has changed, yet now we meet once more. It must be fate. But tell me, why have you fallen to such a state?”
Hearing this, the Dao Court cultivators exchanged looks of shock and uncertainty.
Yuan Songzi and this Congenital Human Race fiend knew each other?
Even so, they did not let their guard down, keeping the formation in place.
The Wushi forces were equally curious, quietly moving toward the rear of the battlefield, with Jiang Shi leading them.
The hundred-zhang-tall fiend, referred to as Senior Zhu, finally spoke, his voice calm but carrying an undeniable weight.
“To offend those who should never be provoked—this is the price one must pay.”
His gaze remained fixed on Yuan Songzi.
“You, however, still have a chance to escape. Leave now, before it is too late.”
Yuan Songzi sighed helplessly. “I am already the leader of a sect, bearing the lives of countless beings on my shoulders. How could I possibly flee? From what you’re saying, it seems you are also caught in a situation beyond your control. If that is the case, then I have no choice but to offend you.”
As his voice fell, he raised his left hand and gently swung it. Behind him, a silver radiance rose, and in an instant, a towering azure mountain emerged. The mountain was covered in lush vegetation, growing rapidly as if time itself had been accelerated. The trees on the mountain expanded enormously, standing like an army of divine soldiers, rooted in the land.
The azure mountain surged into the sky at an astonishing speed. Its body expanded rapidly, and within just two breaths of time, it had occupied nearly the entire space within the formation, leaving the cultivators outside the array utterly stunned.
Even among the Dao Court’s forces, the majority of cultivators had never before seen this mountain.
The moment this mountain manifestation appeared, the overwhelming pressure from Senior Zhu was immediately suppressed.
“What is this? A divine ability, or a treasure?”
“What a terrifying suppressive force! Even through the formation, I can feel my Dao force being sealed away!”
“They say the Lord of the Dao Court is the strongest cultivator of this era. Whether it be his supreme treasures or his mastery of divine abilities, all are said to be unparalleled in this world. Now, it seems the rumors were not exaggerated.”
“Indeed. Setting aside our master, he does deserve to be called the strongest of this era.”
“This must be some form of Great Dao power…”
The Wushi cultivators were in awe of Yuan Songzi’s strength.
Senior Zhu’s gaze flickered with an unusual light as he looked at Yuan Songzi’s mountain manifestation. A hint of admiration flashed in his eyes as he said, “I did not expect that you had refined the Suppressing Floating Mountain Aspect to such a level. When I entrusted you with this legacy back then, it seems it was not wasted. But it’s a pity—you have not yet stepped into the Vast Heaven Realm. Before me, you are still nothing more than an ant.”
The moment he finished speaking, his expression turned savage.
Without hesitation, he raised the dark long blade in his hand, and in an instant, a blinding blade light burst forth.
BOOM!
The Dao Court’s grand formation was shattered in an instant. A terrifying shockwave exploded outward, sending all cultivators flying, including the seven Profound Origin Free Immortals who had been besieging Senior Zhu.
As they were sent tumbling through the air, half of the Dao Court’s cultivators were instantly annihilated, turning to ash.
The Wushi cultivators, protected by their Dao treasures, managed to survive, but their souls were shaken to the core. Their expressions were filled with utter disbelief as they stared at Senior Zhu.
Standing before the Suppressing Floating Mountain Aspect, Yuan Songzi’s expression darkened. He raised his hand to block the incoming blade qi, but behind him, the colossal mountain trembled violently, as if it might shatter at any moment.
Inside, Yuan Songzi’s mind surged with waves of shock.
Vast Heaven Free Immortal!
He had never expected that Senior Zhu had already reached such a level. He still remembered how, back when they had first met, Senior Zhu had lamented his inability to surpass the Profound Origin Realm in this lifetime.
In an instant, as he analyzed Senior Zhu’s current state, countless terrifying realizations flooded his mind.
“If I eliminate you all, half of the fortune of the Heavenly Spirit Great World will be severed. Yuan Songzi, you can only blame your ill fate. Your cultivation is too weak to perceive the causal forces behind all of this!”
Senior Zhu’s voice rang out once more, and Yuan Songzi’s expression drastically changed.
An unimaginable force surged toward him, one that he was completely unable to resist.
BOOM!
Yuan Songzi’s robes were torn apart, and blood splattered into the air like a blooming flower of crimson mist. His body was sent crashing into the giant mountain, and the entire mountain aspect instantly collapsed.
The blade qi continued sweeping across the land, shattering the Suppressing Floating Mountain Aspect, splitting the earth apart. It extended all the way to the horizon, as if it would cleave the very heavens themselves.
The Wushi cultivators, though spared from direct impact, were still caught by the shockwave, sent hurtling toward the distant sky.
They had no means to resist. Their Dao treasures could only protect their lives, nothing more.
As the blade descended, beyond the battlefield, across the real world, all living beings instinctively looked up—witnessing a majestic crimson rainbow that split the heavens in two.
Even in the Wushi Dao Field, Shen Zhen had seen it.
Seated before a refining cauldron, she turned her head and looked toward Gu An, who lay reclining on a chair, casually reading a book.
She asked, “With such an uproar… are you finally going to take action?”
Even though the battle was taking place far away, she could still feel the terrifying pressure emanating from Senior Zhu.
Even across such a vast distance, it made her heart tremble in fear.
An existence like this was not something the strongest cultivators of this world could possibly contend against!
