“No need, I never said I wouldn’t take him in.”

Gu An looked down at Tian Hong Emperor and responded softly.

The reason he hadn’t accepted Tian Hong Emperor as a disciple was partly due to a lack of affinity and partly because Tian Hong Emperor was the reincarnation of an immortal god, bearing the karmic ties of Taiyi Immortal Lord.

However, reincarnation formed a new personality, and from the depths of Tian Hong Emperor’s heart, his desire to become Gu An’s disciple was genuine.

Gu An was deliberately stalling, waiting until he himself had broken through before accepting him, using the time to temper Tian Hong Emperor further.

An Xin sighed. “If Tian Hao were made to kneel, lasting a hundred years would already be impressive.”

Setting aside talent, she felt that even she wouldn’t be able to kneel for ten thousand years.

Gu An’s expression remained unchanged as he continued observing Tian Hong Emperor, peering into his future.

The two stood near him, yet Tian Hong Emperor remained completely unaware.

After kneeling for ten thousand years, his heart had entered a state of selflessness. He was comprehending the nature of heaven and earth, gradually forgetting the torment of time.

“By the way, Master, how is Tian Hao doing now?” An Xin turned to look at Gu An with curiosity.

She trusted that her master could see what was happening in the Ethereal Immortal Court.

Gu An chuckled. “There are blessings and calamities, but he won’t die.”

Hearing this, An Xin was completely relieved, then shifted the conversation to the affairs of the world.

Over the years, she had occasionally taken over the negotiations with the Qiankun Sect from Tian Qing and Tian Bai. After all, she couldn’t let the two women handle everything while she never had time to relax.

The world today was much like it had been a thousand years ago—heroes rising in great numbers.

The Dao Court’s authority was weakening, primarily due to the emergence of new forces. The Dao Court, which adhered to righteousness, could only watch as other factions grew stronger.

With the rise of powerful sects, conflicts across the world naturally increased.

But compared to the calamities from beyond the heavens, the struggles within the world were insignificant.

An Xin mentioned a new prodigy who had recently emerged within the Dao Court over the past ten thousand years. One couldn’t deny the Dao Court’s deep foundation. Tian Hong Emperor had only been gone for ten thousand years, and already another supreme genius had risen. Now, the world was using Tian Hong Emperor’s past achievements to suppress this new talent.

“If they don’t take the initiative to start wars, it seems the only way for the Dao Court to maintain absolute dominance is by manipulating public perception.” An Xin spoke in a playful tone.

Gu An did not comment on the Dao Court. He understood it far better than An Xin did, as he often stayed there to accompany Xiao Lan.

Xiao Lan’s talent was remarkable, and with Gu An’s Dao Intent supporting her, she remained one of the Dao Court’s top prodigies. However, because she preferred to keep a low profile, the title of "First Heavenly Genius" never fell upon her.

Recently, the Dao Court had been preparing to launch the Outer Heaven Plan, aiming to search for other Great Thousand Worlds.

Since they had no motivation to suppress the sects within this world, they instead sought greater power and resources elsewhere. This idea made many high-ranking members of the Dao Court feel proud, believing that they had a grander vision than worldly sects. They saw themselves as the rightful rulers of the world, displaying the ambition of a true hegemon.

Gu An found their thinking quite reasonable, and he intended to have the Heavenly Spirit God assist in their endeavor.

Having been born in the Heavenly Spirit Great World, he also wanted to see it develop in a way that differed from the past.

If every era was destined to end in destruction, then Gu An’s efforts to save all beings would be meaningless.

He wasn’t allowing the Dao Court to grow unchecked—rather, he simply believed that cultivators should continuously ascend, always striving for the Grand Dao.

The existence of the Realm Gate seemed to serve as a restriction on the progress of cultivators.

No matter how he looked at it, the Realm Gate did not appear to be a natural phenomenon.

Gu An was contemplating whether to allow the disciples of the Dao Field to go out. His intention in having them remain in seclusion for so long was to accumulate their strength, not to restrict their freedom.

What concerned him the most was Chen Chuan.

Back then, when Xiao Chuan reincarnated into Chen Chuan, he was immediately cursed by a mysterious karmic force, almost bringing disaster upon his parents. When the Innate Human Race caused chaos, Chen Chuan had gone out for training and thus avoided further curses. This was also why Gu An was considering letting him venture outside again.

After much thought, Gu An decided to leave the choice up to Chen Chuan.

“Let’s go out for a walk.”

Leaving those words behind, Gu An leaped forward, with An Xin following closely behind.

As they passed by Tian Hong Emperor, Gu An lightly patted his shoulder.

Tian Hong Emperor seemed to sense something and opened his eyes, but he saw nothing. He assumed it was just a breeze passing by.

Perhaps it was because he had been kneeling for too long, but he was no longer in a rush to enter Wushi. He felt that his current state was beneficial for comprehending the Dao.

“The Great Dao of Strength… Strange. How could I gain insight into such a fierce and dominant Dao?”

Tian Hong Emperor murmured to himself. He didn’t believe it was due to his exceptional talent. After all, he had never felt anything like this when he was in the Dao Court.

A realization dawned upon him.

Although the Sword Master of the Dao had not personally appeared, An Xin had tested him. There was no way the Sword Master of the Dao was unaware of his presence.

Perhaps this newfound understanding was a gift from the Sword Master of the Dao.

However, Tian Hong Emperor did not feel overly joyful. Even without such a gift, he would have persevered.

The greatest benefit of kneeling for ten thousand years was that it had allowed him to shed the pressure of being regarded as the world’s foremost genius.

Titles were fleeting like clouds. He was Tian Hong Emperor, and his true purpose was to seek the meaning of his existence.

Above an endless sea of clouds, a massive golden furnace hovered in midair. The surface of the furnace was engraved with depictions of divine beasts, vast mountains, and mighty rivers. At its top, colossal peaks were embedded, exuding an overwhelming presence.

A yellow-robed Daoist, the same one who had previously played a game of strategy with Taiyi Immortal Lord, stood at the edge of a cliff, gazing down at the world inside the furnace.

Within the furnace lay an entire realm of its own. Mountains and rivers stretched across the land, and ferocious beasts roamed freely, clashing in violent battles. Waves of majestic Dao energy surged like gusts of wind, occasionally rising into the air.

The yellow-robed Daoist furrowed his brows, lost in thought.

Just then, a golden ring of light appeared beside him, swiftly expanding. From within, a figure stepped out.

It was none other than Heaven-Stabilizing God.

Zhang Buku and Xu You had pledged allegiance to the Heavenly Army, and their leader was Heaven-Stabilizing God.

Heaven-Stabilizing God raised his hand in greeting. “Immortal Lord, the Three Thousand Great Worlds have begun to manifest chaotic anomalies, dispersing rapidly across multiple Great Thousand Worlds. One of these anomalies has even entered my command for training. This is not a good sign.”

The yellow-robed Daoist, known as Huang Feng Immortal Lord, turned his head slightly and asked, “A chaotic anomaly? Which one?”

Heaven-Stabilizing God replied, “It should be Chaotic Yuanluo. I detected immense resentment buried deep within the soul of a certain infiltrator. If this anomaly is allowed to spread unchecked, it will bring great catastrophe.”

“Yuanluo?”

Huang Feng Immortal Lord’s gaze flickered as he sank into contemplation.

Heaven-Stabilizing God said no more, waiting for Huang Feng Immortal Lord’s decision.

After a long silence, Huang Feng Immortal Lord finally spoke. “Do not act rashly for now. There may be even greater karma hidden behind Yuanluo.”

Heaven-Stabilizing God frowned. After a moment of hesitation, he said, “If we let this continue, countless beings will perish.”

“If we do not eliminate the root cause behind it, even more lives will be lost in the end.”

Huang Feng Immortal Lord’s words made Heaven-Stabilizing God’s brows furrow even tighter. He gave Huang Feng Immortal Lord a deep look but chose not to argue further.

Huang Feng Immortal Lord continued staring into the world within the golden furnace. After a moment, he spoke again. “Since you are here, I need you to deliver something to Xuan Su Immortal Lord.”

As he finished speaking, he raised his right hand. A golden jade piece, infused with a swirling mist of violet qi, materialized in his palm and swiftly flew toward Heaven-Stabilizing God.
