"I'm not an Innate Golden Immortal either," Meng Lang replied, causing Zhu Xi’s brows to furrow even deeper in disappointment.

She hadn't even considered guessing beyond the Measuring the Heavens Golden Immortal Realm because such an exalted existence would never have been trapped here.

She stared at Meng Lang, waiting for him to convince her.

What exactly was his confidence based on? What made him so sure he could take her away from this place?

If he didn’t provide a clear answer, there was no way she would follow him.

Meng Lang glanced ahead. The Innate Golden Immortal was still giving a rousing speech, his words igniting the blood of those present, filling them with an indomitable fighting spirit.

Rather than waiting to die, it was better to fight for survival.

"This Taiwei Great World runs deeper than I thought," Meng Lang—who was actually Gu An—mused to himself.

He had foreseen Zhu Xi’s peril while in Heavenly Spirit Great World, so he had come to help. Disguising himself as Meng Lang was a way to avoid unnecessary karma entanglements.

But upon arriving in Taiwei Great World, he discovered that this place concealed not just several Grand Luo Immortals, but also a web of unfathomable cosmic karma.

He had heard before that, among the Three Thousand Great Worlds, a select few possessed foundations vastly superior to others. Today, he confirmed that rumor to be true.

The Innate Golden Immortal before him had set up a formation, believing it would shield him from prying eyes, allowing him to incite rebellion without interference.

Little did he know that, at this very moment, a Supreme Purity Golden Immortal was observing him.

Yes, not a Measuring the Heavens Golden Immortal, but a Supreme Purity Golden Immortal.

This Supreme Purity Golden Immortal stood high above the heavens, toying with two glowing orbs in his hands. His expression was icy cold, his eyes reflecting the figures of Zhu Xi and the others gathered below.

If Gu An did not intervene, once Zhu Xi and the rebels broke free, this Supreme Purity Golden Immortal would capture her, drag her back to his Daoist temple, and eventually refine her into a Ghost Artifact.

And that wasn’t all.

While in Taiwei Great World, Gu An had also sensed the aura of a True Immortal God.

This deity resided deep within the Divine Court, possessing power even greater than Taiyi Immortal Sovereign.

This led Gu An to question the connection between Taiwei Divine Court and the Heavenly Court.

"You need to explain yourself clearly," Zhu Xi’s voice interrupted Gu An’s thoughts. "I can’t just follow you blindly. Who exactly are you? And what gives you the confidence to help me?"

Gu An smiled and said, "No need for so many questions. Just watch."

Zhu Xi scowled at his cryptic answer. She was about to push further when the Innate Golden Immortal suddenly erupted with a formidable aura, drawing her attention away.

"Everyone!" the Innate Golden Immortal roared. "Once the escape plan is decided, there’s no room for delay. We must act now! I will open a passage for us, but I have no idea where it will lead. Most likely, it will open inside the Divine Court itself. From there, we must improvise!"

As he spoke, his hands traced a massive arc, weaving intricate seals in the air.

Before him, a swirling black vortex manifested, rapidly expanding.

The surrounding space crackled with time-space lightning, and the depthless darkness within exuded a chilling, foreboding presence.

It looked utterly terrifying.

Once the vortex stabilized, the Innate Golden Immortal leapt inside first.

The others followed without hesitation.

Some hesitated at the sight of the abyss, but after watching so many jump in, they clenched their jaws and forced themselves forward.

Zhu Xi turned to Gu An, about to demand an answer, only to find that he had already stepped inside.

She was stunned.

So his plan was to simply follow these people?

Then what was the point of all his cryptic talk earlier?

Even without him, she would have followed along!

Frustrated, Zhu Xi cursed under her breath, then stepped forward and entered the vortex.

Inside, she saw Gu An just ahead of her.

She glared daggers at his back, her expression filled with resentment.

If looks could kill, Gu An would have turned to dust by now.

The two of them stepped into the black vortex one after the other. As soon as Zhu Xi entered, darkness swallowed her vision entirely, even her Divine Sense was unable to penetrate the void. However, she could still sense the flow of spiritual energy around her and hear Gu An’s footsteps ahead.

"This is your plan? Without you, I would have followed them anyway!" Zhu Xi gritted her teeth, her tone filled with dissatisfaction.

Gu An’s voice echoed from the darkness, "The real trouble comes after we exit. Without me, you will undoubtedly die."

His words sent a wave of doubt through Zhu Xi’s heart, but she suppressed her confusion and remained alert.

She didn’t fully trust the Innate Golden Immortal leading them either, but she had no other choice but to follow.

They moved forward swiftly. Zhu Xi could feel the spiritual energy in the surrounding space growing denser and denser as they advanced.

This meant they were getting closer to the exit!

Her heart tightened, and she began imagining what awaited them on the other side.

After some time, light finally appeared in the distance.

She could hear the murmurs of excitement from those around her. Most of them were overjoyed, not expecting that they could truly escape from the sealed land that had imprisoned them.

As the light ahead grew larger, Zhu Xi gradually caught sight of Gu An’s silhouette.

For some reason, she felt a strange sense of déjà vu, as if she had seen this figure somewhere before.

Before she could dwell on the thought, she followed Gu An and stepped into the blinding light.

At that moment, her Divine Sense instantly returned.

She could feel the people ahead coming to an abrupt stop, so she instinctively halted as well.

Opening her eyes, she looked forward—and her face froze.

It wasn’t just her.

The entire group of escapees stared ahead in stunned disbelief.

In front of them stretched an endless, majestic mountain range, like another vast world.

However, no one was paying attention to the beautiful landscape.

All eyes were locked onto the sky above the mountains.

There, above the ocean of clouds, countless armored figures clad in violet armor stood in the air.

Each of them wielded divine weapons, and their sheer numbers stretched far beyond what the eye could count.

The presence of this mighty army was oppressive, suffocating even.

The face of the Innate Golden Immortal leading them darkened instantly.

It was clear that he had never expected to find such a powerful force waiting for them outside.

"Your Highness," a booming voice resounded through the heavens, shaking the mountains and the sky.

"You are the Crown Prince of the Divine Court. Why do you seek to commit treason?"

The fugitives erupted into chaos.

No one had expected that the Innate Golden Immortal leading them was actually the Crown Prince of the Divine Court.

Zhu Xi’s brows knitted tightly, a sense of foreboding growing in her heart.

This was bad.

She had been dragged into an even greater karmic storm.

Had she not been swayed into following, had she remained in the prison, she wouldn’t be caught in this disaster.

The Innate Golden Immortal took a deep breath and stepped forward, his voice echoing with determination.

"General Zhu!"

"You are the Eternal Divine General of the Divine Court, a protector of countless worlds. The masses revere you."

"But now, the Divine Court has become the lapdog of the Immortal Gods. In the past million years, how many innocent beings have perished to satisfy the Divine Court’s offerings to the Immortal Gods?"

"Do you truly feel nothing?"

"The Immortal Gods are insatiable, taking more and more!"

"Sooner or later, they will turn their gaze toward the very foundation of the Divine Court!"

"We cannot afford to gamble on our survival!"

His words sent a wave of unease through the fugitives.

Immortal Gods?

Even in the Taiwei Great World, Immortal Gods were nothing more than legendary myths.

Now, not only was this rebellion involving the Crown Prince of the Divine Court, but it also concerned the Immortal Gods?

Things had escalated into something far beyond their comprehension.

Most of them, just like Zhu Xi, began to realize—

This situation had turned into an utter nightmare.

Zhu Xi turned toward Gu An, her gaze sharp.

Yet, this man showed no trace of worry on his face.

He did not seem the least bit concerned.

This only deepened her curiosity—how exactly did he plan to escape?

Could he be connected to one of the Immortal Gods?

According to the Crown Prince, the Immortal Gods were cruel and greedy.

But as an outsider, Zhu Xi held no concern for the morality of this world.

Her only priority—

Was escaping alive.
