Tianzi?

Huang Feng Immortal Lord?

As Zhang Buku heard those two names, he realized he’d been dragged into a terrifying conflict among the immortals and gods.

But he wasn’t scared. He had no choice in the matter.

“Cangtian holds justice—accept your Heavenly Punishment!”

Tianzhen Shen raised his giant saber high. A surge of overwhelming power erupted and condensed into a ten-thousand-zhang-tall majestic Dharma Form, also gripping a massive saber.

Before Tianzhen Shen even gave an order, the Dharma Form had already slashed downward. Like Pangu splitting heaven and earth, one slash split the air with a blinding white light, as if it would cleave the void of the cosmos in two. Below, the Qi Sea of the Grand Dao surged violently—what a stunning, awe-inspiring scene.

All the heavenly soldiers held their breath, their eyes fixed ahead. The radiant light cast across their faces, each one wearing a solemn expression.

This wasn’t their first time witnessing Tianzhen Shen strike. They weren’t shocked anymore. But each time they felt his overwhelming might, their blood boiled, and their ambitions surged.

They wanted to become powerful and domineering Celestial Gods like him too!

As the Dharma Form’s blade swept down, the cosmic void ahead shattered in the white light. A massive figure emerged from the darkness, its entire body wrapped in black qi. It was even bigger than Tianzhen Shen’s Dharma Form, so colossal that it made all the heavenly soldiers feel minuscule.

Many of the heavenly soldiers were shaken. The tone of this figure sounded related to the Heavenly Court, yet its form resembled that of a Chaos Demon. That left them full of suspicion toward the Heavenly Court itself.

“Form up—slay the enemy!”

Tianzhen Shen’s voice exploded like a thunderclap. Then he leapt forward, charging straight at that terrifying silhouette.

The hundreds of thousands of heavenly soldiers instantly began casting spells, forming battle formations. The immense Heavenly Dao fortune gathered together, and a terrifying, oppressive aura kept rising—like the awakening of divine might.

...

Time flew like an arrow. It had already been ten thousand years since An Zizai returned.

An Zizai focused wholeheartedly on cultivation. His progress had been rapid, yet the path of cultivation was long. Even with such speed, in ten thousand years, he still hadn’t caught up to the other Wushi disciples.

But after that eight hundred-year ordeal, his Dao Heart had grown more resolute. He no longer thought about venturing out to temper himself. He trained hard every day, which made An Xin very satisfied.

Gu An, however, was a bit disappointed. He felt that An Zizai had become a bit boring.

Now, he was starting to look forward to the other disciples taking on apprentices.

After An Xin took a disciple, the others did begin preparing to do the same. But with An Zizai’s exceptional talent as a benchmark, they hadn’t found a suitable seedling yet, not even in Qiankun Sect or the Nine Spirits Continent—so they continued to wait.

The world was vast and full of talent, but for the Nine Spirits Continent, a genius like An Zizai only appeared once every ten thousand years.

Life was peaceful. Gu An would occasionally check on the state of the Dao Road. The Hunyuan Dao Emperor’s path was thriving, and the number of Dao Seekers had already surpassed three thousand. In truth, many more sought to become Hunyuan Dao Emperors—most just died on the way.

On the Dao Road, something else caught Gu An’s attention—something to do with Zhang Buku.

Zhang Buku was shrouded in the fortune of the Heavenly Court, which made him impossible to fully divine. Still, because of his wide-ranging movements, he inevitably left traces behind, allowing Gu An to catch glimpses of his journey.

Zhang Buku’s unit in the Heavenly Army had been active on the Dao Road, constantly fighting battles north and south, which had already started to attract wariness from several major forces.

One of the Dao Seekers chasing after the Hunyuan Dao Emperor once expressed confusion in conversation—wondering why the Heavenly Court was acting so high-profile now. This wasn’t like its old style.

Gu An didn’t interfere with the Heavenly Court’s actions. As long as it didn’t threaten him, he didn’t care.

That day, just as Gu An returned to the Wushi Dao Field, he sat atop a cliff, idly playing with the wooden token formed from Jin Dong’s Seventy-Two Immortals. His gaze turned toward the reincarnation of Tai Yi Immortal Lord.

In this lifetime, Tai Yi Immortal Lord had already lived for over ten thousand years. He was now a disciple of one of the Hundred Mortal Teachings and had quite an outstanding natural talent. He was currently in the midst of his mortal life's journey.

Now, Tai Yi Immortal Lord seemed to have completely integrated into the Tianling Great World. But eventually, his Heavenly Dao Immortal Position would lead him to transcend this realm.

Not to mention, the Heavenly Court would come searching for Tai Yi Immortal Lord, and even the reincarnated Chaos Demon, Yuan Luo, had already planted seeds of calamity in this world.

Gu An was contemplating how he would face the Heavenly Court.

One day, he’d have to make a choice—whether to join the Heavenly Court, stand against it, or live a life on the run, always hiding.

Just as Gu An was considering the future, An Xin appeared behind him.

“Master, could you personally teach Zizai a divine ability?” An Xin asked respectfully after giving her salute.

The strongest divine ability she had mastered was the Immortal Emperor Eye, but this technique had been strictly forbidden by Gu An from being passed on. She didn't dare even hint at it to An Zizai.

An Zizai had excellent talent and comprehension. His cultivation achievements were quite impressive—proficient in all fields—but that also meant he lacked a signature technique, something uniquely his. That left An Xin feeling something was missing.

Everyone in the Wushi Dao Field had a unique divine ability of their own, something that served as their trump card.

Gu An replied, “He’s not anxious. Why are you?”

An Xin sighed, “He’s bound to seek revenge against Beidou Sect one day. That sect is full of powerful cultivators and countless prodigies. With his current strength, it’ll be hard to succeed. Since he’ll face them eventually, why not teach him something early?”

“Oh really?”

Gu An spoke lazily. When it came to teaching that brat An Zizai, he really didn’t have much interest.

An Xin crouched beside him and clung to his arm, beginning to act coquettishly, pleading over and over with none of her usual calm or serious demeanor. If An Zizai were to see this, he’d definitely be stunned speechless.

“Alright, alright,” Gu An finally gave in, unable to resist his beloved disciple’s charms.

“No need to wait—let’s teach him today!”

An Xin’s face lit up with joy, and she vanished from sight immediately.

About the time it takes for one incense stick to burn later, An Zizai arrived behind Gu An, now dressed in clean, formal robes. He bowed respectfully.

He could no longer act as casually as he did when he was young. Only after experiencing certain hardships did he come to understand how difficult everything he now possessed had been to attain.

And all that he had now was thanks to his Grandmaster.

Even his master had needed Gu An’s nod to take him in as a disciple.

“What kind of divine ability do you want to learn?” Gu An asked as he stood up and turned to face him.

The breeze stirred his black robes, and he still carried that carefree, otherworldly air like a transcendental immortal beyond the mundane.

An Zizai had already made up his mind on the way here. Without hesitation, he answered, “I want to learn a divine ability that brings justice to the world—one that can forcefully crush all injustice!”

Gu An’s lips curled into a smirk. “That sounds righteous, but really, you just want something overbearing and fierce, don’t you?”

An Zizai scratched his head awkwardly.

Seeing that reaction, Gu An was quietly pleased. Now that was more like his old self—less of that gloomy, heavy air.

“I recently created a palm technique. Might suit you,” Gu An continued.

“You just created it?” An Zizai hesitated. He suspected his grandmaster might be using him as a test subject.

Though his personality had changed, his memories hadn’t. This grandmaster of his—he was good in every way except that he loved to mess with him.

Gu An introduced, “This palm technique is called Myriad Dao Peerless Palm. It has seven forms in total. Even just mastering the first palm is enough to quell all turmoil in the world.”
