Zhou Chengchen took a piece of clothing from the nearby rack and draped it over Xi Siyan, staring at the apparent dark circles on his originally pale cheeks. Zhou Chengchen felt heartache, yet also a sense of pride.

The person she liked is just as strong as before, no matter what situation he is in, he remains unstoppable, not defeated by anyone or anything.

Zhou Chengchen lowered her head and gently kissed Xi Siyan’s forehead, which was turned to one side: "Good luck."

She got up to leave, giving him a quiet space to rest well.

But before she took two steps, Xi Siyan’s phone rang, and Zhou Chengchen instinctively looked at it. The caller ID showed just one character—Xi.

Xi? Who could this be?

Instant hesitation, but Zhou Chengchen already had a conclusion in her mind, though in that instant of hesitation, Xi Siyan was woken up by the phone.

Dazed, he opened his eyes, frowned, glanced at the caller ID, took another look at Zhou Chengchen, and without any reservations, answered the call right in front of her.

"What’s up?"

She couldn’t hear what the person on the other end said, but Xi Siyan’s response gave her a pretty good idea.

"Not going, no time, goodbye."

Just six words, deathly simple, cold and distant.

If it weren’t for knowing Xi Siyan’s situation, probably no one would believe this was a son talking to his father.

"Your... dad?"

In front of Xi Siyan, Zhou Chengchen didn’t need to be careful at all, even if she said something wrong, Xi Siyan wouldn’t mind.

But when she spoke the word "dad," Zhou Chengchen was still a bit hesitant, not afraid to upset him but afraid of making him uncomfortable.

Xi Siyan naturally sensed Zhou Chengchen’s consideration, pulled her hand to his lips and kissed it: "Hmm."

"Did he want something from you?"

Xi Siyan rubbed his temples: "He hopes I can help him manage the Xi Family."

"Ah?"

Zhou Chengchen guessed Xi Siyan’s father wanted something, but didn’t expect it to be this.

"Why?"

"Probably no one else."

This answer seemed strange but Zhou Chengchen instantly understood.

She was born into a prominent family too. Although she didn’t understand corporate affairs, she knew about family corporate enterprises.

Take her family and the Sheng Family for example, the Zhou Family has Zhou Qi, the Sheng Family has Sheng Yanxiao, both have successors.

And whether Zhou Qi or Sheng Yanxiao are outstanding individuals capable of carrying the group.

But the Xi Family... Zhou Chengchen remembered that the Xi Family seems to have only one daughter, and with the age of Mr. and Mrs. Xi, it’s unlikely they’d have another child, even if possible, that child should be very young.

So now they’ve turned their attention to Xi Siyan?

Anyway, Xi Siyan is also related to them by blood.

Zhou Chengchen sneered inwardly, now they’re thinking of him, why didn’t they before?

She certainly wouldn’t forget the time when they forced Xi Siyan to donate bone marrow.

"Are they asking you to be a workhorse? Or are they going to give you half the inheritance?"

Zhou Chengchen’s disdain and scorn was undisguised, and Xi Siyan listened and laughed: "They said they’d give me fifteen percent."

Zhou Chengchen moved forward, lifted her foot, and directly sat on Xi Siyan’s lap, wrapping her hands around his neck, pouting: "Don’t go, fifteen percent means nothing. I’ll give you fifteen percent of the Zhou Family, it’ll beat them easily."
