"Have you figured it out?"

An Rui asked, Zhou Qi still wore his usual smile, but there was a noticeable change in his aura.

The next day, Zhou Qi woke up early, bought breakfast from a nearby shop, and headed straight to Xiao Rou’s place. With a key, he had no obstacles.

Zhou Qi had heard from Zhou Chengchen about some things between her and Xi Siyan, like Xi Siyan always preparing breakfast for her.

Zhou Qi knew his limits; asking him to cook would not just be a challenge for him, but a torment for Xiao Rou.

So, until he maxed out his skill points, he wouldn’t try something difficult. For now, he just bought some ready-made food.

Zhou Qi didn’t disturb Xiao Rou, intending to wait until Xiao Rou woke up to have breakfast together before returning to the gaming team. But even until close to nine, Xiao Rou hadn’t woken up.

Zhou Qi hesitated; entering a girl’s bedroom like that wasn’t right. He ultimately left Xiao Rou a note and turned to leave.

Xiao Rou didn’t sleep well because her foot was still a bit painful. In the latter half of the night, she accidentally pressed on it and woke up from the pain, staying awake for a while.

So when Xiao Rou finally woke up and opened her eyes, it was almost ten.

Propping herself up, she moved her ankle, which felt much better. She got out of bed—it was still a bit painful to put weight on it, but walking slowly was fine.

Xiao Rou slowly went to the bathroom to freshen up and came out at a leisurely pace, her eyes instinctively swept over the dining table, causing her to pause.

Breakfast?

Xiao Rou had been living here for a while and immediately recognized that it was from a good breakfast shop nearby.

Looking at the note on the table, all of Xiao Rou’s sleepiness and discomfort vanished.

Xiao Rou picked up the note, carefully reading it again. Zhou Qi’s handwriting was beautiful, unlike her neat, small script, and it looked quite refined.

Zhou Qi hadn’t written anything special, just reminding her to heat the breakfast if it got cold before eating, mentioning he had gone back to train and would visit Yunyun around noon.

Yet Xiao Rou still clutched the note tightly in her palm, slowly walked back to her room, and took down her little box to place the note inside.

Zhou Qi had bought a lot of breakfast, obviously meant for two people. Xiao Rou heated up one serving as per Zhou Qi’s suggestion and picked up a shaomai to eat.

The savory flavor hit her, and Xiao Rou couldn’t help but smile—it was the best shaomai she’d ever tasted.

While eating, Xiao Rou felt a bit frustrated with herself. Why hadn’t she gotten up earlier?

Zhou Qi had bought two servings clearly intending to eat with her, but she had slept in.

Meanwhile, Zhou Qi returned to the team, casually munched on a bread roll, and started the morning training.

During a break, Ah Shuang came over, grinning: "Brother Qi, did you go out early this morning to bring breakfast for our Xiao?"

Zhou Qi glanced at him indifferently: "Our?"

"It’s mine."
