Chapter 1348 - 1347: No Escape
Chapter 1348: Chapter 1347: No Escape
Emergency room.
The red light finally dimmed, and the Easton Family’s personal bodyguards stood respectfully outside the door, breaking out in cold sweat.
Arthur Easton walked over from the other side, a chill in his voice accompanying his arrival: "How is it, has he woken up?"
"No, sir, he hasn’t woken up yet."
Arthur Easton wore a wooden expression: "Damn it, so many people can’t protect him properly, get lost, family discipline will be served!"
When the incident happened, he directly launched a fierce kick at Arthur Easton’s assistant, almost breaking his ribs.
"Yes." The group trembled in fear.
*
Arthur Easton left the backyard directly and went to the luxurious villa living room at the front.
He stayed in the villa living room for a night, staring at his injured hand, gradually becoming angry again. He had grown up, and never before had a woman dared to hurt him like this!
He stormed upstairs, pushed open the door, and his gaze fell on the woman whose face carried a slightly morbid beauty; Arthur Easton frowned at her with displeasure.
Eva Nightingale’s fever had subsided, and now with dawn approaching, her sleep was very light, causing her to move slightly on the bed.
Opening her eyes, she saw a dark figure.
"Ah—"
A ghost!
Frightened, she shrank back, only then realizing she was lying on this unfamiliar large bed.
The room had a vintage palace style, curtains drawn, two yellowish lamps at the bedhead illuminating the room.
"Awake?" His voice was chilling.
He didn’t bother about why she was so startled.
His voice sounded as if he cared, but it wasn’t; that sinister and corrosive cold made people avoid him, but Eva Nightingale only felt hatred, not fear.
With a mocking smile, she paused stunned for two seconds, then moved away from the bed, her whole body weak—which was normal after recovering—lightly biting her lips and mocking herself: "Ha...considering why I’m bedridden."
She hadn’t forgotten being doused twice with bone-chilling cold water by him!
That cold water had made her shiver all over.
Because she had been tied to an iron post in an underground chamber before, her wrists and ankles still ached slightly, and when thinking about how he ripped apart her clothes, a wave of anger surged in her chest, prompting her to ridicule again: "Ha, Arthur Easton, you’re truly despicable, putting me in peril, why bother saving me?"
"You’re wrong!" He tossed aside his jacket embroidered with gold thread casually on the bed, then reached to unbutton two buttons on his shirt below the neck, seeming extremely irritated.
After taking a puff of his cigarette, he coldly looked at her: "Your friend hurt my brother, and he’s still in intensive care. You harmed me, and now my hand is still bandaged. Save you? I simply want to torture you better."
He spoke in a righteous manner.
He had no feelings, his methods were cold and ruthless.
He didn’t know why he saved her.
"Come here." He squinted slightly, "Come over here."
"Get lost!" She wished she could tear him apart; the man’s physique was extremely tall, and Eva Nightingale was certain that he trained regularly.
Yet, in three years in Eastern Europe, she had never heard of him, nor seen him!
"Dare to tell me to get lost?" He unsurprisingly became furious, came over, and grabbed her fair wrist.
Eva Nightingale instinctively retreated, her back against the cold wall, with nowhere left to go.
She could only take a deep breath, giving up resistance: "Do what you want, kill me if you must!"
