Who Brought Him into the Cultivation World?
Chapter 921 - 857: Interested in Joining Yama Hall?
"Sometimes I feel like these two forces are just overconfident."
Han Yu looked at the palace in front of him and mused aloud.
This position is said to be so important, yet it was broken so easily.
The Artifact Spirit glanced at this guy who got lucky and acted humble, suddenly unwilling to speak.
Good grief, do you even hear yourself?
How long have both sides been clashing without exposing their positions?
Even when a soul split avatar was captured, they clamped their mouths shut and refused to speak.
The Celestial Dao Sect is the same way, taking secrecy to the extreme.
Ultimately, being able to break through the Celestial Dao Sect’s stronghold so easily is pretty much on Liu Zongyuan and Wang Xingzhi.
They were the first to bring Han Yu into the small secret realm, though it was thanks to Han Yu’s big favor back then, fighting the Yama Hall to the end and even saving Liu Zongyuan, that he could blend in.
On the Yama Hall side, there was the traitor Hun Bugui.
So this bizarre scene unfolded, with neither side able to breach each other’s secret bases, and instead, Han Yu reaping the benefits.
Yet the Artifact Spirit always felt this benefit too hot to handle, truly life-threatening.
Han Yu, however, found it incredibly thrilling, even considering exposing the real entrance of the Celestial Dao Sect to the Yama Hall after taking this place down.
Then watch them have a good fight.
Afterward, the cultivators from the small world of the Celestial Dao Sect would have to keep their heads down, always on guard against sneak attacks.
The thought of it is just so satisfying.
Satisfying?
The Artifact Spirit couldn’t help but take a sharp breath.
It just felt that as Han Yu’s strength grew, so did his audacity, and his recklessness became almost unmanageable.
One other possibility with this move is that the two sides would unite to kill this instigator first.
After all, Han Yu just overturned the tables on both sides, truly infuriating them.
After exiting from the Sea of Consciousness, Han Yu glanced ahead, the lonely island in front of him was empty save for a palace oscillating between real and illusionary.
Things like this and the Celestial Dao Sect’s small secret realms can hide away at any moment.
This is why both sides have had a hard time finding each other’s bases; as long as it’s not exposed, even if you stroll right past, you’d never know there’s a domain-like residence within.
Below, Wang Xingzhi and others were looking at Han Yu’s back with peculiar expressions, each unable to fathom what Han Yu intended to do.
Wang Xingzhi was especially puzzled, if Han Yu hadn’t sided with the Yama Hall, how did he know of their stronghold?
But if he had sided with them...
He dismissed this thought almost immediately, the Yama Hall would have to be insane to take in someone like him.
Very soon, his expression turned strange, almost frightened.
An absurd notion rose uncontrollably in his mind.
No way...
In his state of astonishment, Han Yu silently brought out the West River Slash.
Everything was now clear, this guy was here to incidentally destroy the Yama Hall’s base.
"Has he lost his mind?"
Liu Zongyuan muttered with a deathly pale face, first destroying the Celestial Dao Sect’s base, now coming to destroy the Yama Hall’s.
This is akin to destroying the lifeline of two behemoths in one fell swoop; would either side let him go easily?
How is this different from tearing down the heavens?
Han Yu acted, an Aurora appeared above the palace, golden rain poured down abruptly, petals scattered incessantly, causing the sky to tremble and the earth to shake, with thunderous noises echoing across the sea.
The fluctuating palace was struck into illusoriness immediately, the palace gates opened wide, and hundreds of cultivators rushed out maniacally, their faces turning horrified upon seeing the figure overhead, retreating frantically.
But Han Yu had no plans to let them go, deploying His Omnipresence, and the Aurora crazily darted among the crowd.
In just twenty breaths, there were no longer any figures standing outside the palace.
When he returned above the palace once more, a deep voice echoed from within.
"Boy, do you even know what you’re doing?"
That voice was all too familiar to Han Yu, wasn’t this the person who once crossed dimensions to save Jiu You?
Based on deduction and Jiang Xinyuan’s attitude back then, it was certainly the only First Hall Master yet to descend.
"I know!"
Han Yu had no intention of stopping, striking down the second West River Slash, causing the voice to lose composure.
"If you know, aren’t you afraid I will personally come down to eliminate you?"
Han Yu laughed at those words, his tone full of mockery.
"Just a moment ago, those two from the Celestial Dao Sect said the same to me."
To his surprise, the voice became uncertain, couldn’t help but ask again.
"You went to the Celestial Dao Sect’s little secret realm?"
"Naturally."
Han Yu replied while continuing his destruction.
"What was the result?"
This was the most important thing to him; if the Celestial Dao Sect suffered, it meant they gained, a good thing.
Han Yu freely elaborated without any concealment.
"Of course, I just wrecked the place and left."
The voice evidently received a satisfactory answer, laughing heartily.
The other side laughed, and so did Han Yu, for he never stopped his actions.
"Interested in coming to the Yama Hall? You can pick between the fourth and fifth halls, or if that’s not enough, Wujiu can shuffle over and you can be the third hall master."
With a meaningful admonition, he said, "Following the Heavenly Dao won’t end well; our two families have been plotting for thousands of years, and the Heavenly Dao is destined to lose."
Han Yu was hearing this kind of insider information for the first time and instinctively paused his actions.
From beginning to end, he only knew that both sides were fighting over the Central Continent, but the struggle seemed to disregard the fate of the Central Continent.
It was as if it didn’t matter if the Central Continent was destroyed.
But what could they gain from all this?
And the Heavenly Dao as well, mysteriously disappearing, could it be that these two families were somehow involved?
So what exactly are the Celestial Dao Sect and Yama Hall fighting for?
Seizing this opportunity, Han Yu couldn’t help but ask.
"So tell me first, what exactly do your two families want to gain here in the Central Continent?"
The First Hall Master seemed to fall into a long silence, and after a moment, he slowly began to speak, as if he had made a decision.
"If you’re willing to join, I will tell you..."
"Alright, I’ll join! Go ahead, tell me."
Before the other party could finish, Han Yu agreed without hesitation, catching the First Hall Master off guard.
You’re so straightforward?
He had prepared many convincing words that he hadn’t had the chance to say, even getting ready for a verbal confrontation.
Yet you’ve agreed just like that, can you be any more casual? After all, you’re a strong individual, where’s your dignity, your pride?
The First Hall Master felt that this kid had no integrity at all and found it hard to trust him.
It’s really hard to trust when I merely mention submission, and you agree without a thought.
Who the hell would dare trust you.
However, Han Yu confidently retorted, "Do you not trust me?"
A rhetorical question!
The First Hall Master suddenly felt exhausted communicating with him.
"Is it because I haven’t offered proof of loyalty?"
Han Yu continued determinedly.
"Does destroying that high platform earlier count?"
"Or the fact that I just smashed a Celestial Dao Sect stronghold, does that count?"
Logically speaking, it does count, and is indeed a significant achievement.
But it’s just hard to trust.
"How about, you come over to my place, and I’ll tell you more?"
The First Hall Master couldn’t help but suggest.
"No way."
The First Hall Master didn’t trust Han Yu, and naturally, Han Yu didn’t trust him either.
If he actually went to their territory, he might not even know how he died.
Besides...he wasn’t actually planning to join.
This made it hard to reach a consensus.
"How about you tell me half of it first?"
Han Yu wasn’t giving up, thinking it would be good to get some insider information.
But the First Hall Master was equally stubborn, refusing to share even a word unless Han Yu came over.
"Then there’s nothing more to talk about, maybe next time!"
Han Yu sighed helplessly.
But the First Hall Master still hoped Han Yu could come over. Imagine if he could persuade someone from the Heavenly Dao, it would be a huge blow to the Heavenly Dao.
At that point, whether to kill or use him, it would be up to his whim.
In other words, once Han Yu entered the Yama Hall’s lair, his fate would no longer be his own.
"We can talk, no need to wait till next time."
The First Hall Master spoke.
Han Yu shook his head and smiled slightly, "There’s really no time left."
He slightly raised the West River Slash, and with one final swing, the already riddled palace collapsed.
With just one strike, the palace crashed down.
And the First Hall Master left behind a final intriguing comment.
Why was it intriguing?
Because it was Han Yu’s first time hearing such a formidable person cursing, and it was quite down-to-earth.
"You damn..."
Unfortunately, the First Hall Master never got the chance to finish, as his voice vanished with the collapse of the palace.
Only now did the Artifact Spirit exhale deeply, having quietly watched Han Yu’s verbal exchange with the opponent.
It even almost thought Han Yu was seriously going to join Yama Hall.
If it weren’t aware of this guy’s limits, it might have really believed him.
However, Han Yu truly seemed to have offended the opponent enough.
Now, it wasn’t just Di Liuxin and the Jiu You faction who wanted him dead.
The other strong individuals from both sides, who hadn’t come down yet, had indirectly faced Han Yu and had all been offended.
It seems the first thing these people might do once they descend is probably to take out this rascal.
Looking at the ruins once more, Han Yu finally let out a satisfied sigh.
Back to the Central Continent...
