Who Designed This Underworld Dungeon?
Chapter 1795 - 1055: Irresistibly Tempting_2
What are my soldiers doing, why can’t I hear anything?
This sight made his expression twist, and he roared, "What are you all doing!"
He saw that the demon clan soldiers who should have been charging with him were all standing dazedly in place, their twenty or so eyes fixed on the same spot.
It was the Abyss flowing on the ground.
Their expressions were as if they were soul-sucked by the Abyss, dazed and dumbfounded, and some even giggled foolishly.
Damn it, too tense in this Dungeon, forgot the Abyss could enchant minds.
Chrono couldn’t help but curse himself, and with a wave, the river of blood blocking the Soul-sucking Ghost poured smoothly onto the ground. As his snap sounded, the red crystals formed from blood had already covered the Abyss on the ground.
Strange, where did the Abyss’ corrosive effect go?
Because these blood crystals hadn’t even touched the Abyss, he cleverly elevated the crystals to make them float above the Abyss, like covering it with a blanket that would never fall.
Doing this couldn’t stop the Abyss from spreading, but it visually blocked the Abyss, creating an effect like deceiving oneself.
He then roared with the Demon King’s aura, and the enchanted demons woke up one after another... could it really be said they woke up?
"I, I want power, did you hear that, the Abyss says it can give us power!"
"We can become stronger than the Abyss Legion!"
Some demons cried out on the spot, eyes tainted with a filthy color, while others hadn’t spoken yet, but their gaze was also not quite right.
"Boom boom!"
In the next moment, two loud bangs sounded, and the heads of the first demons to cry out were instantly smashed into their abdomens, their bodies immediately stiffened, standing motionless.
No longer able to move.
"That’s all the Abyss’ enchantment, it’s fake."
Chrono flapped his wings and appeared above the demons, coldly looking down on them.
The demons gasped, not daring to say more.
With Chrono raising his sword pointing towards the Soul-sucking Ghost, the demons finally stepped forward and rushed in.
Their joining immediately marked the start of this chaotic battle.
This group of transformed demons were the kind to throw boulders with great strength outside, but unfortunately, stats such as those were of no use in Sain Dungeon, yet even so, this collective charge of tanks could still disrupt the battle line of the Soul-sucking Ghosts.
And at this time, the Fran Undead Team also joined the battlefield, with as many as five members joining the fight against the Soul-sucking Ghosts.
Chrono signaled the soldiers not to exert too much effort, all while observing the Fran Undead Team’s battle carefully, then showed a "just as expected" look.
Masterful moves, powerful combat skills, arrogant posture... He thought of countless words to praise the Fran Undead Team, finally summarizing it in his heart with one sentence:
I’d rather fight with this whole bunch of Soul-sucking Ghosts than provoke so many from the Fran Undead Team at once.
With only one or two, he could fight, but if the number increased...
Luckily, they are allies right now.
Before long, the Soul-sucking Ghosts were beaten back by this strange combination of demon and Fran Undead Team alliance, retreating after losing more than half of their numbers.
"Won the fight, hooray!"
"What a bunch of cowards!"
The demons roared openly, this being their customary ritual after a victorious battle.
Though Chrono wouldn’t join in the yelling, he was also in a good mood; this was their first proper large-scale battle in the Twilight Dungeon, and winning it was certainly something to be joyful about.
Alright, what will happen next? Those pointy-hatted folks should thank us, right?
"Hey, should we ask for some benefits, after all, we did help them fight."
"Can those pointy-headed folks understand what we’re saying?"
"Speaking of which, they’re humans, aren’t they?"
Before Chrono could say anything, the demon soldiers took the initiative to approach the Fran Undead Team, and some even headed over towards the Crystal Elder.
"Hey, aren’t you supposed to give me some rewa—"
"Splat!"
The demon soldier’s words were abruptly cut off.
A bloody fissure spread from his head downwards, and in the end, his whole body split in half from the center.
With a "thud", it fell to the ground.
Amidst the demon’s shattered corpse spraying blood, the sword blade of the Fran Undead Team was covered in rich blood.
"Ah..."
Upon seeing this scene, the lively atmosphere among the demons instantly felt quenched like being doused with a bucket of cold water.
The smile on Chrono’s lips immediately froze, and his eyes started to tremble.
The Crystal Elder’s hand burst forth with a storm of scattering crystals, turning the demons in front of him into sieves that let wind through; this spell seemed like the signal light for the start of a contest, as the Fran Undead Team moved again.
They raised their sharp swords towards the demons.
The relaxed and careless demons were instantly beheaded or gravely injured, the surviving ones turned their shock into rage, charging up, but they faced the Fran Undead Team, and no less than five of them.
No more motion was needed, just two members casually cooperating were enough to chop these huge three to four meter demons into several pieces.
The battlefield which had just quieted down quickly fell into chaos again.
"Damn it, where’s your sense of reason!"
Chrono was enraged, transforming into a blood whirlwind and rushing towards the Undead Team; after all, those being slaughtered were his subordinates.
Then he stopped halfway.
It wasn’t because of anything else but that six pairs of eyes were staring at him — all his demon subordinates had been slain.
Why did it suddenly feel like he was a bit guilty?
"Groan, since you’re breaking the rules, don’t blame me!"
Chrono opened his mouth to unleash a compressed blood breath, but the Crystal Elder was fast, a Fran Short Arrow shot into his mouth, forcefully snatching and interrupting the execution of this move.
Following, Fran Street Dance played out before his eyes.
The Fran Undead Team, with speed so ghostly, appeared before him in a flash, the Fran Greatsword in a sideways position bent Chrono’s spine with a clear sound of shattering bones.
"You—"
Chrono roared as he recovered, but just as he raised his head, a second Undead Team member smashed downwards again, another sound of bone breaking.
"Don’t be too—"
The third person crushed his spine once more.
"Arrogant—"
The fourth directly decapitated him, the fifth kicked that head hundreds of meters away.
"Roar!"
Chrono finally couldn’t help but roar like a demon, immediately regenerating a new body based on the kicked head, but the Undead Team already closed in, and within a few seconds, pounded his not fully formed body to the ground.
"Ugh!"
What is with these guys, displaying strength far superior to when fighting Abyss minions!
Could it be they were acting for my benefit earlier!?
For some reason, the areas struck by the Fran Greatsword’s regeneration became slow, and by the time Chrono was smashed into the ground, his body had yet to fully regenerate, his head smashed to a bloody pulp, reducing his intelligence.
And he directly fell towards... a place overflowing with the Abyss.
He "thump" crashed into it, before realizing, the Black Mud had already climbed onto his figure and quickly occupied him, igniting a nameless fire inside.
Damn the Abyss, damn those pointy-hat folks, damn the old man with stones growing on him, and damn the Dungeon, all of them should just die!
With such close contact with the Abyss, his thoughts were instantly disrupted.
And at this moment, the Abyss extended another invitation towards him.
This time, the chaotic thoughts led him to a very irrational action.
Chrono opened his mouth and devoured the Abyss as much as he could.
