Who would study psychology unless they had some issues?!
Chapter 1102 - 824: Sect Guard Senior Sister Returns (Part 2)
"Ugh... headache." Bi Yanling shook her head. "Today’s students really drive me crazy..."
She put on a look of exhaustion, then glanced back at the four panel teachers beside her and squeezed out a gentle smile again: "We’re running short on time. Shall we move to the next student?"
Teacher Waterpot stared at Bi Yanling for two seconds: "Let’s move on to the next one."
Senior Sister Bun Head bowed respectfully and thanked the teachers, clearing her throat to say, "Thank you, teachers," and stepped down.
Bi Yanling lowered her head without looking at her, writing for quite a while on the form in front of her, obviously noting more details than for the previous students.
Nan Zhubin and Mo Kai exchanged a glance, each seeing the other’s furrowed brow. Behind them, Blue Tie swallowed hard, his palms sweating so much it seemed like he had just been on stage himself.
-----------------
"Yes... that’s the situation... My student’s foundation is solid, the others probably can’t understand what she’s talking about..."
"Calm? Of course, I’m calm... Yes, yes, thank you."
Noon, during lunch break, in Bai Qinghua’s project team office.
Bai Qinghua was holding a phone, with Nan Zhubin, Shi Qianqian, the Inner Sect Disciples, and Senior Sister Bun Head, involved, standing to one side listening nervously.
"Looking for advice? Sure, my company has openings, just let him come and intern. We reserved spots specifically for the school."
"Games? I haven’t played much lately... busy with the students’ matters."
"Okay, okay, I’ll treat you to tea sometime, thanks."
Bai Qinghua hung up the phone.
He looked at the circle of students around him and chuckled easily: "It’s alright now. Xiaowan, leave a copy of your printout with me later, and send the electronic version to Qian Qian—Qian Qian, you deliver both the print and electronic copies to the dean."
"Don’t worry, you barely need to make any modifications—I guarantee you’ll pass."
Senior Sister Bun Head took a deep breath, much more composed now compared to the earlier presentation of her topic.
With Bai Qinghua by her side, students feel an undeniable sense of security.
"Thank you, teacher."
"Mm." Bai Qinghua waved his hand.
Then he added, "But some processes still need to be followed to avoid being called out—Qian Qian, bring out the appeal form for Xiaowan to fill out."
Bai Qinghua looked at Senior Sister Bun Head: "That’s all, go back and rest well, this matter is settled. Afterwards, you should look for internships, and if you’re interested in new projects, feel free to discuss it with me anytime."
"Okay." Senior Sister Bun Head’s shoulders relaxed, she smiled and thanked her mentor again, and left with Shi Qianqian.
The office door closed behind them with a soft "click."
Nan Zhubin didn’t leave; he thought for a moment and then asked softly: "Teacher... how should we handle things after this?"
"It’s already taken care of." Bai Qinghua shifted the topic, "Did you gain any insights from the morning report?"
Nan Zhubin was momentarily stuck when faced with this question. To be frank, after Bi Yanling’s interruption, he hardly focused at all during the report session.
Of course, he had already rotated through the presentations of other project groups, and recorded the content using the Memory Palace, ready for review anytime.
But to express his thoughts on the spot at the scene—Nan Zhubin’s pupils slightly lost focus, ready to switch to Psychological Mode.
"Never mind." Bai Qinghua waved his hand first, very understanding of the students, "With this mess... you probably weren’t in the right mindset."
"That Bi Yanling..."
Nan Zhubin’s pupils regained focus naturally as his thoughts returned.
"Teacher, what’s the plan going forward?"
"Don’t worry." Bai Qinghua assumed a big-family head vibe, "I’ll handle the communication."
"Specifically, how will you communicate?" Nan Zhubin continued to press.
And pressed quite bluntly.
Bai Qinghua looked up, ready to respond, but suddenly realized something was amiss. As the voice did not come from Nan Zhubin and not even inside the room.
"Click," the office door was pushed open.
A tall figure strode in boldly; Shi Qianqian followed, with a respectful expression.
"Senior sister—" Nan Zhubin identified the newcomer. "You’re back."
"Pingting..." Bai Qinghua sprang up from his seat. "You’re back."
Upon entering, Weng Pinting stood with hands on hips. She smiled gracefully at Nan Zhubin first, before scanning the room, her brow furrowing as her gaze moved.
Two breaths later, she turned directly to Bai Qinghua: "Yeah, I came straight from the airport—how should we handle this?"
Weng Pinting immediately got to the crux of the matter.
"Ahem, the situation is..." Bai Qinghua seemed a bit tense, starting to organize his thoughts.
"I know everything." Weng Pinting interrupted her mentor, "Bi Yanling, right? Couldn’t get our lab ahead of time, bullied first-year research students, and now opposing us during the topic presentation?"
She summed it up fairly accurately, with slightly menacing wording.
Bai Qinghua blinked, then slowly opened his mouth.
This person just returned, how is she aware of everything?
Bai Qinghua glanced at Shi Qianqian behind Weng Pinting, even if Shi Qianqian met Weng Pinting immediately after going out, there wouldn’t be enough time to explain so many details, right?
Now Weng Pinting’s attitude seemed fully informed of all specifics.
Yet, hasn’t she just returned to Beidu?
Though there was always suspicion of a mole within the project group—this wasn’t an ordinary situation of internal betrayal!
Before Bai Qinghua could further tense, Weng Pinting calmly placed one hand on Bai Qinghua’s shoulder, guiding him back into the gaming chair, then helped him unscrew his insulated cup, offering it to his lips.
"Teacher—I have one question."
"...What question?"
"Why weren’t you a reviewer for the topic presentation? If you had Bi Yanling’s students, things likely wouldn’t have blown up, right?"
Exchanging hostages?
Bai Qinghua opened his mouth, the prior reasons given now seemed inadequate to explain.
"Never mind, seeing the current situation, given her temperament, she probably wouldn’t pay attention to such matters anyway." Weng Pinting faced Bai Qinghua, "You did contact the dean, right?"
Bai Qinghua nodded obediently: "I did."
"Then it’s fine." Weng Pinting maintained faith in Bai Qinghua’s influence.
Then, Weng Pinting extended her hand to Bai Qinghua: "Give me the phone, I’ll make a call to Bi Yanling."
"Ah... why use my phone?" Bai Qinghua didn’t understand but complied.
"After her actions, for protocol and courtesy we need to respond, right?" Weng Pinting scoffed, "Of course, having you handle it would be beneath you given your status versus hers."
Though at this point, roles seem reversed, as Sect Master Bai Qinghua really only needed to communicate with the dean—and even that required some effort.
Indeed, once again a question arose.
Weng Pinting frowned: "Why does she dare to directly clash with our project group? Just because we didn’t lend her the lab?"
All present had psychology backgrounds, this question wasn’t worth analyzing and was treated as a complaint.
Bai Qinghua handed the phone to Weng Pinting, "So why do you need my phone..."
"Seize the initiative." Weng Pinting quickly snatched it.
Almost without needing to adjust, moments returning to Beidu, Sect Guard Senior Sister inhaled deeply, radiating visible aggressive temperament. If this were in comic style, shadow lines would definitely fill her face.
As Nan Zhubin watched curiously, Weng Pinting pressed the call button.
