Chapter 327: Chapter 187: The Tiger Striped Dog’s Huge Transformation! Jia Wen Becomes a Transcendent! Capturing the Fierce Poisonous Bee

Chen Chong asked, "So, why are you giving this Card to me?"

"I don’t really have any use for it!"

Xu Jun said with a matter-of-fact expression, "Most of the people and animals in our group were recruited by you, Brother Chong. It’s perfect. You should take it and see who’s the best fit for it."

Hearing this, a teasing look appeared on Chen Chong’s face. "Jia Wen was recruited by you, and he happens to be one of the few non-Transcendent members. Didn’t you ever think of just giving it to him?"

Xu Jun paused, stunned for a moment. After some thought, he said, "You know, that’s actually true. Why didn’t I think of that?"

Chen Chong: "..."

But Xu Jun quickly spoke up again.

"But it doesn’t matter. Brother Chong, didn’t you say you’d find a way for Jia Wen and Zhang Meng to become Transcendent? I won’t worry my head about it. You use it however you see fit, Brother Chong. As long as it benefits our group, I have no objections whatsoever."

Chen Chong smiled at his words. ’Forget it, I won’t tease my good brother anymore. He’s not the sharpest tool in the shed to begin with. If I tease him too much, his brain might just short-circuit, and that’d be a pain...’

"In that case, I’ll use it on the Tiger Striped Dog."

"No problem!"

"Hu Zi, come here."

At Chen Chong’s call, the Tiger Striped Dog immediately leaped off the sofa and trotted over to his side, tail wagging ingratiatingly.

As the Card slowly vanished, the Biological Enhancement Card transformed into a stream of light that enveloped the Tiger Striped Dog’s entire body.

And the Tiger Striped Dog slowly began to change...

The Biological Enhancement Card could be used on any recruited being, be it human, animal, or insect.

But Chen Chong’s decision to use it on the Tiger Striped Dog was not a whim; it came after careful, albeit brief, consideration.

First off, Qi Zhen, Wang Biao, and the Assassin Insect didn’t need it. The two of them and the insect were already at A- Level or A-Level, making them the strongest members of the team aside from himself.

The boost from the Biological Enhancement Card would be extremely limited for them, if it could even be used on them at all.

For them to grow stronger, they would need higher-level Enhancement Cards, to devour high-level Extraordinary Creatures, or to use some other special method.

The Lion-headed Goose was at a suitable level, but it had another path to power: the core of a Bloodthirsty Vine, which was a perfect match for it.

He was bound to face the Bloodthirsty Vine King in a direct battle sooner or later, so obtaining its core was only a matter of time.

In other words, the moment he finally hunted down the Bloodthirsty Vine King would be the moment the Lion-headed Goose broke through to A-Level, or perhaps even higher.

As for the Rock Armor Eagle...

Although he hadn’t personally recruited it, Chen Chong had used his Identification Skill and confirmed that the Rock Armor Eagle already recognized him as its master. It was now classified as one of his recruited creatures and even had a Loyalty Value, which was only visible for such beings.

This also meant that Ability Cards like this one could be used on the Rock Armor Eagle.

But as the offspring of S-Class and A+ Class Extraordinary Creatures, the Rock Armor Eagle had perfectly inherited the superior genes of its Rock Armor Eagle parentage.

As long as it was allowed to mature naturally, it would reach A-Level at a minimum, and breaking through to S-Class would be far easier for it than for other Extraordinary Creatures.

Take the Bloodthirsty Vine King, for instance, which was struggling to devour enough energy to attempt its breakthrough to S-Class...

Using an Ability Card on it wouldn’t exactly be forcing its growth, but it would certainly be a waste. After all, it just needed to eat and sleep to reach a higher level in the near future.

Besides, its growth rate was already astonishingly fast.

He wasn’t sure if it was a trait of the Rock Armor Eagle species or because of the pellets he’d given it from the Forging Furnace, but despite having barely reached its juvenile stage, it was already B-Level.

Most likely, by the time it fully matured into a young adult, it would break through to A-Level.

And as a full adult, it would be at least A+, perhaps even S-Class...

Therefore, all things considered, the only suitable candidate left for this Enhancement Card was the Tiger Striped Dog.

Despite possessing the finest hunting dog genes and immense potential for growth, Chen Chong had yet to find a specific path for the Tiger Striped Dog to grow stronger.

As he and the rest of the team grew stronger, the Tiger Striped Dog, which had once been a helpful asset, was gradually being left in the dust.

Within the team, it was only slightly better than the three ordinary humans: Jia Wen, Zhang Meng, and Huang Mao...

Conveniently, this Biological Enhancement Card could perhaps remedy this weakness and make the Tiger Striped Dog stronger.

At the very least, it wouldn’t be left too far behind by the other members while he searched for a suitable path to power for it.

As the white light slowly faded, the newly enhanced Tiger Striped Dog appeared before Chen Chong and Xu Jun.

In that instant, both of their pupils contracted, and they stared in shock.

The Tiger Striped Dog’s transformation was truly unexpected.

Its size hadn’t changed drastically compared to before the enhancement. It had only grown from a little over a meter to two meters in length. Although it had visibly grown, Chen Chong estimated the difference was only about two handspans.

In contrast, the other changes to its body were far more striking.

Its limbs had become longer and more powerful. Its originally black-and-gold-striped fur was now longer and thicker, especially the hair on its pricked-up ears, which was a good half-meter in length.

With a slight shake of its head, they flowed like the ribbons of a phoenix coronet, giving it a divine, martial air.

Combined with its curved, blade-like fangs that glinted coldly and its scarlet, incredibly intimidating eyes, it looked utterly majestic and fearsome!

It was a world apart from its previous form.

Chen Chong used his Identification Skill and saw that the Tiger Striped Dog’s rank had risen from B-Level to B+ Level.

The description also specially noted that it was now just one step away from becoming an A-Level Extraordinary Creature.

In other words, the Biological Enhancement Card had boosted the Tiger Striped Dog by almost two full sub-levels. While it hadn’t pushed it directly to A-Level, a breakthrough could now happen at any moment.
