Granny Ji wanted to continue putting on airs, but she was struck speechless the moment she saw Hu Shishen.

She couldn’t say a word, her eyes wide with shock.

’If you think it’s too rowdy, then don’t come over!’ she thought. ’One after another, they all show up just to slap me in the face. Where am I supposed to hide my shame?’

The Ji Clan Leader and the others flushed with excitement. The fervent hope that Huo Shi had just ignited in their eyes now blazed with full intensity.

Jian Yu gave Ji Shiyin a little push. "Go on. Go finish your business with them first."

Ji Shiyin gently placed the Little Flying Bear in her arms, his smile as handsome as a painting. "No need. The Ji Family has Pei Yin, and that’s enough. However, she’s someone you invited, so I should at least go and say hello."

The Little Flying Bear silently turned around, presenting its butt to its master.

It buried its chubby head in Jian Yu’s embrace. "The people Big Sis knows are so amazing! Not like my master, who always likes to be alone. My master knows so few things. Other than designing and repairing Mechas, all he knows is how to love Big Sis."

Jian Yu patted its back. ’What a little mochi ball,’ she thought. ’Not only cute, but a sweet-talker too.’

Her gaze shifted upward.

The Qilin Beast approached from the distance, vanished upon landing, and wisps of smoke seeped into Hu Shishen’s chest.

Because she was appearing in her capacity as a Healer, Hu Shishen was dressed as a woman this time.

Ji Shiyin didn’t get too close. He exchanged a few pleasantries, said his hellos, and then returned to Jian Yu’s side to wait quietly.

This left the Ji Clan Leader to lead his clansmen forward and continue ingratiating himself. "I am the leader of the Ji Family. May I ask what brings you here today?"

With Huo Shi alone, they had already decided to stand firmly with Young Master Ji.

So, even if Master Shishen was just here to watch the show, they would accept that.

Hu Shishen frowned, a hint of disdain on her beautiful face.

’Why does he talk in such a stuffy, formal way?’

She tried to formulate her words, but then thought, ’Forget it, I won’t overcomplicate things.’ "Sorry for dropping by without notice," she said. "I’m here to find someone."

Her beautiful red lips opened and closed, her words simple and direct.

The Ji Clan Leader’s eyes lit up.

Granny Ji’s lips trembled, and the last shred of hope in her heart was extinguished.

Pei Yin placed his hands on his hips triumphantly. "My treasure said she could get her here. Do you believe it now?"

Hearing Pei Yin’s words, Jian Yu couldn’t help but pinch his arm.

Pei Yin yelped, "You’re just thin-skinned and shy! If you don’t want to show off, then don’t! Why are you pinching me? I’m not the one who’s embarrassed."

He was a little annoyed and grumbled under his breath, "These kinds of highlight moments used to happen to me, Sheng Yue, and Ling Gou."

He, Gu Ji, and Ji Shiyin were all Vice Admirals, but just because their fields were different, the balance of influence had suddenly shifted. This left him somewhat displeased.

Pei Yin would never think it was because he hadn’t climbed high enough or wasn’t capable enough.

He only blamed the Ji Family for being blind, blamed Gu Ji for being shameless and abusing his personal authority, and blamed Granny Ji for pulling rank and overestimating herself.

He’d blame the heavens, the earth, and the very air, but he would never blame himself.

Compared to Huo Shi, Hu Shishen’s gender made her seem much safer, so Pei Yin was happy to flatter her a bit.

Jian Yu glanced at him, seeing right through him but choosing not to say anything.

’Just a contest between a man and a boy.’

Huo Shi was too dazzling. Though older, he didn’t look his age. He walked with a tall, straight posture, looked to be at least 1.9 meters tall, had perfect features, and a powerful background. His appearance alone had stunned everyone in the Ji Clan.

At his age, Pei Yin was at his most competitive. He was used to being at the top of his own field, so it would be strange if he felt fine after meeting someone from another field who had more influence than him.

Jian Yu comforted him drily, "That’s your great-grandson."

"Mm," Pei Yin said, turning his head away with an unnatural expression. "I know."

Ji Shiyin gently tugged Jian Yu’s hand.

Jian Yu looked up and saw Hu Shishen walking over, surrounded by the Ji Clan people.

This was the first time Jian Yu had seen Hu Shishen in women’s clothing.

She was dazzlingly alluring—a mature and incredibly charismatic woman.

Hu Shishen had two identities under the same name. As a man, he was an ordinary teacher with an average face. But as a woman, she was a Divine Level Healer who was rumored to have several regular male partners.

Jian Yu was a little unsure how to address Teacher Hu. In the clan member files, Teacher Hu’s page was near the front, indicating a high status.

She remembered the message Shi Zhao had just sent her: ’When you see the person, don’t greet them first.’

She didn’t understand why, but Jian Yu decided to do as she was told.

Her big eyes didn’t blink, curious as to what Teacher Hu would call her.

Everyone pricked up their ears.

’Not another one calling her ’Great-Aunt,’ is it?’

Hu Shishen’s gaze focused slightly. Her face was that of a cool, mature beauty, but her smile was inexplicably benevolent. "Young Master, something held me up on the way. I’ve arrived late."

’Young Master?’ Jian Yu’s mind raced. ’Does this mean the clan is planning to reveal itself to the world as a Hermit Family?’

Hu Shishen made a hand sign.

Jian Yu nodded slightly, returned the hand sign, and quickly confirmed Hu Shishen’s identity. "Hu Clan Elder, thank you for making the trip."

Hu Shishen lifted her chin. "It is my honor that the Young Master remembers me."

The Ji Clan Leader’s eyes flickered with thought.

’A clan no one has ever heard of produced a Young Master with a Level 3S Healing Soul Beast.’

’A clan elder who is a Divine Level Healer calls her Young Master, and the Mechanical Commander calls her Great-Aunt. Then what is Qi Shan, who is also a Mechanical Commander, to Jian Yu?’

Ji Shiyin, standing beside Jian Yu, was unwillingly pushed into the center of attention.

He rummaged in his Space Ring and handed out a handful of sunflower seeds to each of the clan elders standing nearby.

The Ji Clan Leader and Pei Yin also got a handful of seeds—green tea flavored, no less.

Everyone stared blankly at the sunflower seeds. "..."

The Little Flying Bear held out its chubby arm for a long time but didn’t get any seeds. It tucked its little paws away, twisted its head, and peeked out of one eye, giving Ji Shiyin the side-eye.

Ji Shiyin chuckled and indulgently handed it a baby bottle.

The Little Flying Bear struggled out of Jian Yu’s arms and flew onto her shoulder. It hugged the bottle and began to drink, its little feet curling up unconsciously.

Ji Heyan lowered his voice. "Mother, why don’t you just apologize to Little Yan and the Clan Leader?"

Granny Ji glared at him. "Apologize? Are they even worthy of an apology from me!?"

Granny Ji muttered in a daze, "So what if she’s here? She never said she’d work part-time as a Healer for the Ji Family. They wouldn’t dare to actually offend my second brother."

Ji Heyan gave up and moved to the side.

The Ji Clan Leader knew they had hurt Ji Shiyin’s feelings and felt it was wrong to force the issue.

But since Granny Ji had already created an opening, the Ji Clan Leader couldn’t resist seizing the opportunity. "Hu Clan Elder, what do you think?"

Hu Shishen shot Granny Ji a contemptuous glance and answered stiffly, "I do whatever the Young Master tells me to do. I only listen to the Young Master."

Granny Ji nearly choked. ’How audacious!’

Ji Heyan’s lips moved, but he said nothing.

He felt that Granny Ji was becoming more and more childish with age. ’How can she be so arrogant and ignorant!’

Hu Shishen took something out and handed it to Jian Yu. "Qi Shan was called away on a last-minute mission and couldn’t make it. She asked me to pass this along. She said it’s a gift for her aunt."

Her aunt? Three Level 3S Beast Plants? And a Star Coin Card with a huge sum on it? At first glance, there were so many zeros.

Although everyone was shocked, they had been shocked so many times that they were growing numb to it.
