Chapter 1415: Capture Alive
Chapter 1415: Chapter 1091: Capture Alive
“Shen Tu Tai is attacking!”
This exclamation had hardly spread when suddenly, there was a scream, and the person who shouted was pierced through the chest by a spear!
The man looked down in disbelief, staring wide-eyed at the glistening, blood-soaked spot on his chest as blood gushed out, and the next moment, a strong force from the long spear lifted him into the air!
Witnessing this scene, everyone around was so frightened that they retreated to either side in shock.
As they scattered, they gave way, and Shen Tu Tai, holding the reins in one hand and the long spear in the other, with the shaft of the spear tucked under his arm, carried the struggling, flailing man in the air, galloping forward, blood spraying everywhere, splattering faces, the smell of blood and the gruesome scene leaving everyone terrified, unable to stop him.
Shen Tu Tai charged through the area as if it was empty, running far in an instant.
Gradually, in the chaos ahead, he saw that familiar figure—not Shi Yutao, but his entirely red steed, easy to notice even among the army.
At this moment, Shi Yutao’s gaze also crossed the moving crowd and saw Shen Tu Tai charging forward.
He was shocked.
Despite the recent battle that left him unsatisfied, thinking he could still fight Shen Tu Tai, he had retreated with his men, holding a mental advantage since Shen Tu Tai seemed reluctant to battle. However, he hadn’t expected Shen Tu Tai to attack on his own now, and observing his surroundings, noticed that Shen Tu Tai had brought only ten or so men into their group of over a thousand.
Isn’t this a gift on a silver platter?!
Overjoyed, Shi Yutao instinctively gripped the hand axe in his hand, wanting to charge forward, but in the next moment, he realized that Shen Tu Tai’s spear still had a person hanging on it, and that person, after the shaking journey, was now lifeless, hanging like a dead piece of meat from the tip of the spear, blood spraying continuously and dyeing half of the corpse red.
Blood flew onto Shen Tu Tai’s face and body with the wind, making him resemble a blood-soaked tiger, charging with terrifying ferocity. The soldiers nearby were so intimidated that none dared to step forward and intercept.
The grim scene shocked Shi Yutao.
He still clenched the hand axe, yet lacked the strength to lift it. Meanwhile, those personal soldiers around him, realizing the danger amidst their panic, shouted, “Protect the master!”
Immediately, the nearest few whipped their horses around and positioned themselves in front of Shi Yutao.
These men rode forward, forming a wall to shield Shi Yutao. Shen Tu Tai furrowed his brow, yet continued charging without hesitation, even driving his horse harder. Seeing the distance between them shrink to just a few dozen feet, Shen Tu Tai showed no signs of halting, causing some of Shi Yutao’s guards in front to panic and draw their weapons, preparing to charge forward.
As they were about to clash, Shen Tu Tai suddenly swung the long spear, sending the corpse hanging on it flying forward after spinning it twice in the air!
The crowd gasped in terror.
And the guards in front of Shi Yutao didn’t have time to react. Darkness enveloped them as the corpse brutally crashed onto them, knocking several off their horses, plummeting to the ground; others barely steadied themselves, and when they looked up, Shen Tu Tai was upon them, swinging his long spear like a dragon emerging from the sea, striking them, with thudding sounds as they were knocked off their horses.
In an instant, Shen Tu Tai had swept clear all obstacles before Shi Yutao.
Shi Yutao’s eyes widened, barely comprehending the scene before him. Shen Tu Tai, with a tiger-like face, was almost at arm’s length, his long spear resembling a suddenly striking snake, lunging at his face.
“Ah!”
Shi Yutao let out a brief scream, raising the hand axe instinctively to block.
But at the moment he released the reins to tussle with Shen Tu Tai, the straightly thrust long spear suddenly bent back, cleverly dropping away in front of him, instead hooking onto the reins he just released, wrapping tightly around the spear!
As Shen Tu Tai jerked his wrist, the long spear pulled the reins taut, causing Shi Yutao’s steed to step toward him.
Shocked, Shi Yutao realized what was occurring, hastily swinging the hand axe to strike Shen Tu Tai, only to see Shen Tu Tai still calmly defend against it, then continuously deflect Shi Yutao’s attempts, while the cord tightened around the animal’s bridle, forcing Shi Yutao’s gleaming horse to move bit by bit toward Shen Tu Tai.
Finally recognizing Shen Tu Tai’s intention, Shi Yutao panicked completely, hurriedly trying to chop the reins with the axe. Yet Shen Tu Tai wouldn’t let that happen, blocking the ax over and again, as he suddenly manipulated the spear, wrapping the rope in the air around Shi Yutao’s neck!
“General!”
The nearby soldiers were stunned, a few daring to charge forward, but were immediately knocked aside by warriors tightly behind Shen Tu Tai, particularly Xue Lin, whose bravery and skill swept over, overturning the soldiers rushing forward, preventing the rest from charging.
This turmoil amplified Shi Yutao’s fear, his neck tied in the coil. With agitation, he swung the axe toward Shen Tu Tai seeking a chance, just wanting to eliminate the threat in front of him to escape. But Shen Tu Tai ignored the approaching axe, instead choosing to twist the spear furiously. Amidst the whipping wind, the cord tightened hard, constricting Shi Yutao’s throat.
“Ah—”
Shi Yutao screamed, when finally the sharp edge of Shen Tu Tai’s spear pressed against his throat!
The axe in his hand barely stopped above Shen Tu Tai’s head!
In that instant, both halted their breathing.
Beyond just breathing, Shi Yutao felt like his heart had stopped beating in that moment; he could hear nothing, nor see anything, only sensing the sharp blade at his throat, freshly stained with blood, even retaining warmth from the person previously it had claimed, with its pungent smell causing him to tremble, his hand suddenly going weak.
The hand axe, unexpectedly, drooped to one side.
Witnessing this, Shen Tu Tai sneered, lifting his spear: “Move!”
