Where is she?

Where is Shang Ruyi!?

Just as Yu Wenye was riding and focusing on finding the figure of Shang Ruyi, suddenly someone shouted from behind, “Your Highness, be careful!”

Almost simultaneously with this shout, there was a sharp whistling sound through the air!

Yu Wenye turned his head, and at the same time, a soldier riding closely beside him suddenly urged his horse to rush forward to shield him. All that could be heard was the low cry of that soldier as an arrow pierced through his shoulder, blood gushing out instantly!

“…!”

Yu Wenye’s eyes widened abruptly, and he immediately looked towards the direction the arrow came from. He saw a nimble figure near a distant tent; after shooting an arrow, the figure quickly ran a few steps towards them. While running, one hand reached behind for another arrow from the Arrow Tube, smoothly drawing the bowstring, and the bright arrow was once again aimed at him!

It’s Hua Ziyang!

His clothes were still hastily thrown on, with his belt not even tied properly, yet he already had a longbow in hand and an Arrow Tube on his back. It was obvious that he had heard the commotion outside and knew what was happening, so he came out immediately to fight back.

His actions were indeed fast!

Seeing the arrow glinting coldly at his fingertips, Yu Wenye was overwhelmed by the suppressed feeling he had back at Xingluo Granary. He furrowed his brows, but his rational mind was not consumed by the anger and unwillingness that surged within. Instead, he calmed down and looked at the soldier who was injured for him, asking, “Are you alright?”

The soldier was tough, too. He broke off the protruding part of the arrow with his backhand and gritted his teeth, saying, “I’m fine!”

“Good, spread out, follow me!”

Spread out, then follow him. It sounded a bit contradictory, but his subordinates quickly comprehended his meaning and immediately turned their horses to disperse. Yu Wenye took one last look at the arrow aimed at him, sparkling with cold light, and Hua Ziyang’s sharp eyes behind it, let out a light whistle, and sped off on horseback.

Like him, Xiao Yuansui disciplined his troops strictly, and their camp was well-organized, with tents neatly arrayed like pieces on a chessboard. Although wooden fences obstructed each camp, Yu Wenye’s small, well-trained, and agile group was not entirely hindered. On the contrary, they spread out and immediately blended into the chaotic crowd, regrouping at intersections, and under Yu Wenye’s command, headed towards the next camp. Within the already chaotic camp, they moved effortlessly like a dragon leaping into the sea.

Swoosh, swoosh, swoosh—a few arrows grazed past their shoulders and ears and flew by.

The speed of Hua Ziyang’s arrows also slowed down.

After all, this was their own camp, all surrounded by their own soldiers, and he hesitated to shoot. Moreover, Yu Wenye’s horse, Fiery Fire, was a fine steed trained meticulously by Shi Yutao, capable of navigating the chaos of battle, avoiding his arrows several times.

But still, he could not let him feel so triumphant!

With this thought, Hua Ziyang once again drew an arrow—the final one—from the Arrow Tube with a reversed hand, nocked it onto the bowstring, and aimed at the swift and agile figure in front. At this time, Yu Wenye had just swung his Mo Blade and knocked down a soldier raising a saber to charge at him—after the initial shock, the soldiers calmed down, picked up their swords and sabers, and rushed to block him. For a moment, their speed slowed down; two more soldiers were intercepted by a taut rope, flipping them directly off their horses.

Yu Wenye was about to urge his horse forward when suddenly a sense of danger struck. He quickly leaned back—

An arrow whizzed past his face!

This made him break into a cold sweat. His gaze followed the arrow’s path and lit up instantly.

He saw that within another part of the camp, despite the chaos, one tent remained entirely dark, without a single lamp lit nor even the tent door moved. No one came out to check what happened.

That place is—

He understood something, and as a few teams rushed in from both sides to intercept him, Yu Wenye showed no fear. While galloping, he swung his Mo Blade fiercely through the soldiers who came head-on, sending a few flying with cries that ceased once they lost consciousness. Seeing Yu Wenye charging on horseback, the other team shouted in fright and hurriedly pursued.

Yu Wenye sprinted fast, and several soldiers were also able to extricate themselves from the melee, urgently catching up.

He quickly reached the front of that tent. Regardless of the surrounding chaos, it remained quiet and dark, even as several tents were set ablaze by flying campfire sparks, this tent stayed pitch black, silhouetted against flickering firelight and chaotic human shadows, resembling a world detached from reality.

“Ru Yi!”

Yu Wenye’s eyes were bloodshot, unclear whether due to the bloodshed from the fierce battle or the emotions of excitement and urgency. He gritted his teeth and shouted again, “Shang Ruyi!”

From the quiet, dark tent, there was suddenly a faint sound.

It was a woman’s voice, but she didn’t say anything, as if obstructed or gagged. Yu Wenye’s eyes widened vigorously, then he abruptly raised the Mo Blade in his hand and swung it forcefully at the tent—

With a “tear” sound, the tent was slashed open by him.

As the tent was cut open, countless flashes of cold light suddenly erupted from within, like venomous snakes viciously pouncing at Yu Wenye. Startled, he quickly dodged aside, while his fiery steed backed several steps in panic. However, one ray of cold light still drove straight into his shoulder!

“Ugh!”

A sharp pain assaulted, Yu Wenye had no time to cry out, immediately swept his blade again at the front. The mass of cold light was neatly sliced in half—it was dozens of long spears and halberds, one of which was lodged in his shoulder, causing blood to gush out!

In that tent were more than ten soldiers hiding. At this moment, they jumped frantically out from the sliced tent, whose collapse erupted with a booming sound. Finally, Yu Wenye saw among them a familiar figure—Wo Xue!

Her hands were bound, her mouth gagged by a rag. On seeing Yu Wenye injured, she frantically shook her head at him with bloodshot eyes.

“Mmm, mmm!”

Seeing her, Yu Wenye immediately understood, and those dozen soldiers, realizing their weapons were broken, remained relentless, shouting, “Brothers, kill him, and we’ll gain great merit!”

“That’s Yu Wenye, kill him!”

“Hurry up!”
