Chapter 479: Chapter 316: Feedback, Terrifying Power

A surging wave of Qi and Blood Power flowed from Egg Pancake’s body, through the mysterious Spiritual Link, and into Han Ning’s.

This wave of Qi and Blood Power was far more potent than any he had received from his Contracted Soul Beasts’ previous evolutions or breakthroughs.

In an instant, his skin flushed a deep red, like a cooked shrimp.

His already strong, streamlined muscles began to swell rapidly. He shot up from under two meters to 2.5, then 2.8, then 3 meters tall... His body took on a Popeye-like physique, but with his head remaining roughly the same size, creating a jarringly disproportionate appearance.

"Han... Han Ning?" The onlookers couldn’t help but turn to the Second Elder, their eyes pleading for help.

Cang Tong held up a hand to stop the others, his expression grave.

"Let’s wait and see. There’s no need to interfere just yet. This is simply a Soul Beast’s Power feeding back into its Beast Master, which should be a good thing. The only problem is that the feedback from the Ancient Dragon Power is simply too immense. This is even with his Tier Four Spiritual Power and a body stronger than the average Beast Master. Otherwise... if this were an ordinary Beast Master, they’d probably have died on the spot."

"Huu... So hot, so hot..."

At that moment, Han Ning felt as if he were trapped inside a giant furnace. His body was constantly being seared by scorching Energy, and even his consciousness began to blur.

The only thing he could sense was his own physique strengthening at an incredible rate.

Moreover, his Spiritual Power, which had been growing at a snail’s pace, began to surge at a visible rate.

In the real world, Han Ning clutched his head and let out a beastly roar.

As time passed, deep crimson scales began to sprout from his blood-red skin.

His smooth forehead bulged, and two sharp horns tore through the flesh.

His roars also transformed, shifting from beast-like cries to draconic roars imbued with a dragon’s might.

"Compared to us, he’s probably the true Dragon Blood Race." Cang Tong, with his lizard-like head, watched Han Ning’s bizarre transformation. His expression was complicated, his gaze a mixture of envy and awe.

Possessing the Ancient Dragon Bloodline was something countless members of the Dragon Blood Race could only dream of.

Han Ning wasn’t the only one being nourished by the surging Blood Qi.

The All-Encompassing Spiritual Silkworm and Fei Lin, being creatures of flesh and blood, were next. A towering aura of blood-red light began to burn around their bodies as well.

Just then, Egg Pancake snapped out of the afterglow of its breakthrough. Its massive 600-meter-tall body rapidly shrank, contracting to just over five meters.

In a flash, it crossed several dozen kilometers and came to hover beside Han Ning.

"ROOOAR!!"

It opened its eyes, pupils crackling with tiny sparks of electricity, and watched as its companions bathed in the overwhelming blood-red light. Then it, too, closed its eyes, channeling the excess Power escaping its body to them.

The All-Encompassing Spiritual Silkworm clearly benefited the most. Its blood-red body crazily absorbed the High Level Blood Qi leaking from Egg Pancake.

A thunderous roar echoed from within its body. Its wrinkled, red skin grew increasingly lustrous, as if it were forged from the finest Blood Jade.

Fei Lin was next. As a creature of half soul and half flesh, its physical strength was also enhanced.

Finally, it was Han Ning’s turn. As the one with the weakest physique on the team, his bones, blood, and internal organs were refined by the Dragon Blood in a matter of moments. Though he still retained his human appearance, the terrifying Power he now contained was no less than that of a low-level Soul Beast.

The process of the Blood Qi feedback lasted for several minutes before the blood-red state covering Han Ning’s body finally began to subside.

His height, which had mutated to three meters, gradually shrank back to just over 1.9 meters. His explosively swollen muscles returned to human proportions, their lines becoming even more fluid and defined. He looked like a work of art from an exhibition hall, the very picture of human aesthetic perfection.

Han Ning opened his eyes, and two streams of Red Lotus Fire flashed across the edges of his pupils.

He blinked, and discovered his vision was significantly different than before.

The air was filled with densely packed, multicolored particles.

He could see the companions standing before him in perfect clarity, right down to the finest pores and vellus hairs on their faces.

When he focused his gaze, his eyes could somehow pierce through their flesh like X-rays, allowing him to see the flow of Spiritual Energy, their blood circulation, and their constantly beating hearts.

’Am I... even human anymore?’

Han Ning looked down at his long, powerful hands and clenched his fists.

CRACK! CRACK! CRACK!

His knuckles popped like firecrackers. From his elbows to the backs of his hands, dense, dark-red Dragon Scales instantly materialized as scarlet Red Lotus Fire erupted around them.

’By my rough estimate,’ Han Ning thought, ’I could probably fight a War General Level Soul Beast with just my physical Power alone.’

’However, the battles I’m facing now are always against Lord or Monarch Level opponents. A War General’s physical strength still isn’t enough, but at least I can handle some unexpected situations now.’

’Besides the massive boost to my physical body, my Spiritual Power also saw a significant increase. Ever since I reached Tier Four, its growth has been incredibly slow. But now, with Egg Pancake’s breakthrough, my Spiritual Power has jumped directly to Tier Four (32%).’

"Theoretically speaking... your Race hasn’t changed... This is just a special ’Talent.’ The Ancient Dragon’s bloodline is so powerful that even you, its Beast Master, can borrow its power at any time," Second Elder Cang Tong said, his voice tinged with sourness as he stared enviously at Han Ning’s scale-covered arms.

"And it’s not just you. Look at this one."

Cang Tong pointed to Han Ning’s shoulder, where the Red Jade Fat Silkworm was curled up in a ball like a piece of toast.
