Wilderness Survival with Druid System
Chapter 1027 - 46: Tiger
After checking the surroundings, Chen Wen almost determined the animal that left the paw prints.
There’s a 99% chance it was a tiger that somehow got released here.
The remaining 0.1% is left to the whims of nature.
If it were an enormous lynx, Chen Wen wouldn’t know what to say.
After returning to the camp, Chen Wen informed everyone of the findings.
Everyone, upon hearing this, looked tense, but not overly so.
After all, the most frightening creature to them remains the brown bear, which is far more aggressive than a tiger.
Most tigers, upon seeing humans, tend to avoid them.
They prefer to target deer and wild boars.
After spreading the news, Chen Wen waved to signal Fred to come over.
Fred was a bit bewildered, not knowing what Chen Wen was going to say.
But soon, Chen Wen said seriously, "Contact your people later, ask about the situation here, see if your government’s animal protection agency is trying to release wild Northeast Tigers here. If so, we might want to discuss with them about pausing their experiment."
Fred was stunned. Is that even possible?
He couldn’t help but ask, "How do I get in touch?"
"Oh, just use the satellite phone, this is your turf after all."
Chen Wen said with a smile, "Just have your people edit the message a bit."
Wow, is that even a thing?
Fred twitched his mouth and said, "I’ll find time to ask then."
After talking to Fred about this, Chen Wen returned to the camp and continued building the shelter step by step.
At this season, tigers don’t get hungry easily, so safety-wise, Chen Wen wasn’t too worried that the tiger would attack them.
...
Just when Chen Wen and his team discovered the tiger.
In a forest by Lake Baikal.
A rather large Northeast Tiger was leisurely strolling through the forest.
However, it wasn’t fully wild; on the contrary, it appeared somewhat... friendly.
The word ’friendly’ seems a bit unsuitable for a Northeast Tiger, but this one did seem a bit friendly. It even got startled when passing some bushes by the things hiding behind them.
It didn’t really seem like a Northeast Tiger, more like a Big Cat.
And there was indeed a symbol of a Big Cat on its neck.
That was a collar, and it was pink. The pink collar even had a nameplate with a goofy-looking tiger face on it.
It walked slowly and soon disappeared into the forest.
...
In Russia, at the Brother Hunter Club.
Inside a not-so-large bar, filled with hunting-related elements.
This was the main base for Arseny and Boris.
During the hunting season, this small bar is usually crowded with hunting enthusiasts coming to hire Hunter Guides.
But now it was the off-season, besides the occasional staff walking by, no guests were in sight.
Arseny was looking at a piece of paper at this time.
Beside him, Boris was chattering, "Flour, rice, buckwheat, potatoes, we have enough staple foods, we have some condiments too, all imported, seems to be a brand from Hua Country, called Thirteen Fragrance? Such a strange name, does it have thirteen aromas?"
Arseny shook his head: "I don’t know either, but the main point is that with these staple foods and seasonings, they will survive comfortably."
Boris nodded, and just as he was about to say something, the bar door was suddenly pushed open with Great Strength.
Boris paused, looking at the bustling group of people coming in.
He observed them somewhat confusedly but quickly noticed among them a teenage girl, whose expression was very haggard, almost exhausted.
At the same time, Boris astutely noticed the girl’s incredibly expensive-looking watch!
It was a high-end foreign brand, a watch that could likely buy their entire club!
Boris glanced at Arseny, raising his left eyebrow.
The intent was simple, big business just arrived!
Arseny stood up and asked, "Hello, are you here to..."
Before Arseny could finish, the man in front interrupted him, quickly placing a few photos on the bar counter.
Boris took a glance, it was a tiger, seemingly an adult.
But it was curled up friendlily at the girl’s feet.
The man spoke rapidly, "This tiger went missing three days ago, right in the Lake Baikal area."
As he spoke, a very strong man behind him unfolded a map.
Arseny took a glance, his heart stirred.
This was south of Chen Wen’s survival area, not far away.
The man continued, "We want to hire you to find this tiger, don’t harm it, just bring it back!"
The man had hardly finished when the girl added: "Money is not a problem!"
Arseny and Boris shared a tactical lean-back.
Despite all these years, this was the first time they heard this phrase in real life.
Arseny didn’t hesitate: "So, you want to find this missing tiger and bring it back intact?"
"Yes!"
The man asked impatiently, "Can you do it?"
Arseny stood up, quickening his tone: "I assure you, other Hunter Clubs on this street might not be able to find this tiger, but we definitely can!"
Hearing this, the man said no more.
He quickly took out a bank card, saying: "One million Rubles, deposit, the faster you find it, the more the remainder!"
Arseny took out the pos machine and swiped the card.
He promptly said, "I’ll gather people today, tomorrow we’ll finalize the plan, the day after tomorrow, we’ll prepare ships to embark on the search in this area. However, we need to know all the information about this tiger."
Boris added on the side, "We need very detailed information, such as whether this tiger was tamed from a young age or when it was an adult, whether it has hunting capabilities, and whether it’s aggressive towards humans."
The man frowned, and before he could speak, the strong man holding the map couldn’t help but say, "What’s the use of knowing that!"
Arseny, upon hearing this, amicably explained: "Only by knowing this information can we determine the tiger’s movement routes and behavioral logic; otherwise, it will be challenging to track its activities."
Hearing this, the man seemed somewhat reassured, feeling that these people appeared professional.
So, he said, "I’ll explain these details to you; we’ll be back in an hour!"
Arseny nodded: "Feel free, we’re open 24 hours."
After leaving contact details, the group bustled out of there.
Boris, leaning against the doorframe, took a glance, murmuring: "They’re probably headed to other clubs."
"That’s normal."
Arseny calmly sat back down: "Since they’re not short on money, they’ll definitely assemble more people; that way, the probability of finding that tiger increases."
Boris chuckled and said, "I wonder which family’s princess has stirred such a commotion over a pet tiger."
Hearing this, Arseny couldn’t help but chuckle too: "Heh, there go the rich! But this works for us too, it’s the off-season, good to find work for the brothers, make some quick cash too."
