"Scarlett, you’re here." Knox Simmons stared blankly at her for a few seconds before standing up.

"How is he?"

Knox Simmons shook his head: "We still don’t know yet. He just got brought in, and the doctors are still examining him."

Earlier, he hadn’t said much over the phone and didn’t specify Matthew Saxon’s condition. Scarlett Yates felt a rush of urgency and didn’t ask further questions, coming over in a hurry.

Now that they were face to face and Scarlett Yates couldn’t see Matthew, she asked Knox about the specifics of what happened.

If things were really as Knox Simmons described, Scarlett Yates found it a bit hard to believe.

Matthew Saxon wasn’t someone weak and frail, so how could Knox send him to the hospital with just one punch?

He had a feeling that now that Scarlett Yates was here, she probably wouldn’t leave.

"No way." Scarlett Yates immediately dismissed the idea, "If he had a heart condition, would he dare to fight with you? Besides, you both have known each other since childhood. Does he look like someone with a heart condition?"

Knox Simmons actually took a moment to think back seriously, then shook his head, also finding his idea quite ridiculous.
