Chapter 1468: Chapter 1468: What’s Wrong with You?

Scarlett Yates said that it was only temporary amnesia. Based on the timing, he should be slowly regaining his memory now.

As if to validate his guess, the blurry scenes gradually became clearer, and the vague yet familiar figure also started to clarify.

The empty swimming pool, her being brought to the pool by George, and some of their conversations after meeting.

"Scarlett Yates, do you think you’re worth two hundred million?"

"Whether I’m worth it or not depends on how Young Master Saxon decides."

"Scarlett Yates, I can give you two hundred million, but if you dare to break your word, you’ll pay the price."

The scene shifted to Henry Dales’ birthday party.

He saw her dressed like a clown, wrapped in a cheap and tasteless mermaid dress, her hair glittering with gold, and a heavily painted face, resembling one of those dance hall girls from the last century.

Later, she gifted Henry Dales with a present, but his fiancée, the woman named Rosie Wood, publicly humiliated her. He stepped forward to resolve the situation and took her away from the birthday party.

But she wasn’t grateful at all; instead, she repaid kindness with enmity and slapped him.

Afterwards, he was infuriated and dragged her out of the car, leaving her by the roadside.

The flood of memories kept growing, becoming more vivid...

Until... he had a car accident and was hospitalized at Saint Mercy, where he met her as an intern nurse.

"Matthew Saxon, Matthew Saxon." A voice filled with concern and doubt rang in his ears, as if pressing the pause button on his memories, abruptly interrupting them and pulling him back to reality.

"Matthew Saxon, what’s wrong?" Scarlett Yates waved her hand in front of his eyes.

After coming back to his senses, Matthew Saxon’s gaze towards Scarlett Yates changed slightly.

Although the memories he recalled weren’t much and mostly negative impressions of Scarlett Yates, the void in his heart began to gradually fill.

A familiar feeling was trying to slowly return to his body.

"Matthew, you look a bit pale. Why does your spirit seem worse after going out?" Ian Douglas looked at him with bewilderment, his scrutinizing gaze sweeping over his pallid and haggard face, causing his brows to furrow.

In fact, Matthew Saxon’s complexion was much better now, so Ian Douglas was not entirely surprised despite his concern about his pallor.

If he had encountered him just when he was brought to the hospital, Ian Douglas would undoubtedly have questioned him thoroughly.

"Didn’t sleep well last night." This was the excuse Matthew Saxon had prepared early on, and it was quite fitting.

He truly hadn’t rested all night, suffering from insomnia, so how could his spirit be well?

Ian Douglas was merely asking casually, not delving deeper, he just frowned and said: "There’s nothing else here, so go back to your room and rest well, then go to the company tomorrow."

Matthew Saxon nodded, holding Scarlett Yates’ hand without intention of letting go, and said while holding her hand, "Scarlett, let’s go back to the room first."

Scarlett Yates noticed he had no intention of letting go, struggled slightly, but then went along with him.

Once out of the room, Scarlett Yates said, "Matthew Saxon, let go."
