Chapter 1471: Chapter 1471: Do You Really Want Me to Move Back?

In terms of his and Noah’s abnormal behavior, it seemed more like a confident certainty.

They were certain that she could never truly escape, and even if she did, there would be a day when she returned.

Why were they so certain? The only possibility was that they already held the leverage.

And this leverage was that they had done something to Matthew Saxon.

As Scarlett Yates delved deeper into analysis, she felt increasingly frightened, as if a chill was seeping into her body, making her limbs stiff.

"What’s wrong?" Seeing her looking unwell, Matthew Saxon furrowed his brow and watched her for a few seconds, asking softly.

Scarlett’s face paled; she was startled by her own analysis just now, biting her lip and shaking her head, somewhat lost, saying, "It’s nothing."

She was acting strange.

Hadn’t she always hoped he would regain his memory?

Now that he started to remember, why was it that besides her initial surprise, she didn’t even show a hint of joyful expression?

Matthew didn’t believe her words, his fingers grasped her jaw, slightly lifting it up, his deep eyes gazing into hers: "Lying, why do you look so preoccupied, what are you thinking about?"

"Really nothing." Scarlett forced a smile, saying lightly, "Hearing that you’ve regained your memory, I’m just very happy."

"So being happy means showing a worried face?" Matthew lightly rotated her jaw left and right, frowning, "Am I so easy to fool? Even your lies are so half-hearted."

"It’s really nothing." Scarlett felt she might just be scaring herself.

Being able to leave A Country smoothly was because of Old Master Yates’ help.

As for coming back to Z City, and no movement from over there, it was clear Noah and Maxwell knew that Z City was Saxon Family’s territory, and perhaps they couldn’t do anything?

It must be that.

Noah and Maxwell were smart people, they wouldn’t do anything pointless.

After a bit of self-reassurance, Scarlett finally felt a bit better.

Lately, her nerves have been tightly wound, always thinking there’s a problem here, and a problem there, when in fact, things aren’t as complicated as she imagined.

"If you don’t want to talk, I won’t force you, after all, it’s not just one or two things you’ve kept from me." Matthew smiled helplessly, letting go of her, not pushing further.

He was implying that she had concealed his examination results.

Scarlett wasn’t oblivious, but pretended not to understand, quickly changing the subject: "Didn’t you say you were tired just now? Go to the room and sleep well."

Matthew said nothing, holding her hand as they continued walking forward.

Scarlett also fell silent, as they walked quietly together until they reached Matthew’s bedroom door, Scarlett slowly withdrew her hand from his chilly palm.

Matthew paused, turned around, looking down, contemplating as he stared at her: "Scarlett, pack your things and move back."

Since returning, Scarlett had been staying in the guest room.

Matthew, having decided to accept her, and acknowledging they were a couple, there was no reason for a normal couple to sleep in separate rooms.

Scarlett understood his meaning, hesitating slightly, she bit her lip and softly asked: "Do you really want me to move back?"
