Chapter 1530: Chapter 1530: So What Do You Plan to Do?

His voice was casual, as if he were just chatting with her.

It’s been so long, yet he hasn’t mentioned anything about the test results.

If it weren’t for Hayes Simmons telling her that Matthew Saxon already knew, Scarlett Yates felt that based on his current behavior, it didn’t seem like the reaction of someone who was informed.

She hesitated repeatedly, and after a moment of silence, she bit her lip, feeling that she should be the one to break the still somewhat pleasant atmosphere: "Matthew Saxon, Hayes Simmons told me... you already know the test results?"

After asking, her heart suddenly sped up a lot, biting her lip tighter, she slightly lifted her head, nervously staring at his face.

Matthew Saxon’s hand, which was stroking her hair, paused for a moment, remained silent for a few seconds, and then softly smiled, saying, "Hmm, I know."

Still a casual tone, as if he didn’t care at all.

"Then you... what do you plan to do?"

He curled his lips again, with an indifferent tone, "What else can I do, we treat it the way it should be treated, with medicine being so advanced now, there’s nothing to worry about."

It’s not like that.

Scarlett Yates was a bit anxious, lifting her head from his embrace, clutching tightly at his collar, "Do you know that you’re poisoned?"

How exactly did Hayes Simmons tell him?

Why could Matthew Saxon be so calm? When talking about this matter, he didn’t even furrow his brow.

Matthew Saxon curled his lips and smiled again, lowered his head, his long, charming phoenix eyes looking at her with a smile, gently nodding, "Hmm, I know."

"You know yet... you’re still so indifferent?" Scarlett Yates widened her eyes.

Matthew Saxon patted her head again, his arm around her waist tightened, "If crying or throwing a fit could immediately remove the poison from my body, I wouldn’t mind destroying my image and also having a good cry and causing a scene."

She was startled, suddenly imagining Matthew Saxon crying and causing a scene, even though knowing it’s not the right atmosphere to laugh now, she still couldn’t help but let out a chuckle, "You saying that really makes me curious about what you’re like when you throw a tantrum."

He pinched her cheek, seriously said, "What’s so funny, I’m not joking with you. If doing these things could actually solve my problem, I wouldn’t mind at all. But we both know, doing this is pointless. So, since the outcome can’t be changed, why should I frown?"

"Negative energy affects others, I don’t want to affect you."

Is it really like that?

Scarlett Yates suddenly thought of the moments earlier when watching him outside, the sense of despondency and melancholy that enveloped him.

How could he really not care?

He’s saying this just to avoid making her worry and upset, right?

But the more he forces a smile, the more pain and sadness fills her heart.

She held back the sour and bitter taste in her heart, and the tears about to fall from her eyes, sniffed, buried her head in his chest, not wanting him to see her eyes turning red, "Even though that’s true, but... aren’t you at all sad?"

The worst result could be paralysis.

No one can accept such a blow, right?

"How could I not be sad."

With her head buried, she couldn’t see him, but she could hear a trace of helplessness in his calm tone, "But Scarlett, do you think I should do? Should I cry my heart out? Do you want to see me in tears?"
