Chapter 1542: Chapter 1542: She’s Going on a Blind Date This Weekend
According to the rules, Scarlett Yates only has one hour of visiting time.
If it were someone else, the nurse would urge the visitor to leave.
But the patient is the Saxon Family’s Young Master, and the visitor is the Saxon Family’s Young Madam; she didn’t dare to urge them.
No matter what the rules are, they depend on the people involved.
"Really fell asleep?" Hayes Simmons finished writing the medical report, placed the pen aside, slightly raised his head, and rubbed his brow with his fingers.
There have been too many things going on in these couple of days, leaving him somewhat fatigued.
The nurse thought sincerely for a moment, nodded, "Really fell asleep."
They were tightly embracing each other, sleeping together in a way that was enviably affectionate.
"Then let them sleep." The reason Scarlett Yates was given only one hour was the concern that she’d stay too long and interrupt Matthew Saxon’s rest.
But now both are asleep, so there’s nothing to worry about.
"By the way, there’s also..." The nurse hesitated for a few seconds and said, "Director, you’ve asked me to pay attention to Stella Nelson’s actions. I’ve followed your instructions. Today, she’s been vomiting quite severely, about five or six times throughout the morning, and she doesn’t look good, unable to keep anything down."
Hayes Simmons’ composed, handsome face slightly changed, showing a hint of concern: "Vomited five or six times?"
"Yes, although she’s trying hard to eat, she immediately vomits after eating. Also, her drowsy symptoms are quite apparent. I feel... I feel she’s not fully present at work. I’m worried she might make mistakes. Director, do you think she should take some time off?"
Mentioning this pained Hayes Simmons.
He certainly considered giving Stella Nelson a break.
In fact, once he suspected she was pregnant, he suggested she take a break from work.
But she wouldn’t listen.
With her stubborn nature, if she wants to work, she insists on working, completely disregarding his advice.
Sometimes, he likes her stubbornness, finding it quite unique, but other times, her stubbornness can drive him insane.
"There’s also..."
"Go ahead."
The nurse gave him a meaningful glance before saying, "Stella told me her family arranged a blind date for her, and she’s going on a date this weekend."
Hayes Simmons’ brows furrowed, and his internal anger flared up instantly, though he controlled his expression well, nodding collectedly: "Has she told you much about the date?"
"Not much, but I’ve seen a photo."
Hayes Simmons immediately raised his head, his expression unchanged, but a hint of emotion flickered in his eyes: "What do you think that man looks like?"
The nurse watched him for a few seconds before honestly replying: "Compared to the Director, he doesn’t quite match up, but among ordinary people, he’s not bad."
In other words, he’s fairly good-looking.
Hayes Simmons felt even more displeased: "What did she say?"
"Stella? Oh, she said he looks okay, so she’s decided to meet him."
As those words fell, a loud "crack" was heard, like something fell to the ground.
The nurse looked down and realized the cup placed at the table’s edge had fallen.
A porcelain cup, quite exquisite in its crafting, which Hayes Simmons liked very much; he’d been using it for three years without replacing it.
