Chapter 521: Chapter 507: All Beings Are Equal

The bow of the Ten Thousand Miles of Sunshine had already forced its way into the Y-417 Plane. The sides of its hull scraped against the fractured planar wall, releasing a massive amount of distorted Magic Power outward along the Super AT Force Field.

Twelve sets of Force Field Generators increased their power simultaneously, causing the entire sky to tremble.

Allen frowned slightly as he looked at the ship’s data.

"Why is there so much commotion breaking through the planar wall this time?"

"When we traveled between the Great Library Plane and Hub City before, the planar wall restored itself as soon as we passed through."

[Comparing historical data.]

[Analysis complete.]

[The planar walls of the Great Library Plane and Hub City show signs of artificial management and possess Plane Level defense systems. This is likely the result of long-term maintenance by High-tier Wizards, granting them extremely strong self-repair and stabilization capabilities.]

[As a small-to-medium-sized Plane, the strength of Y-417’s planar wall is only seventeen percent of the former. It cannot recover immediately after being damaged by external force.]

Three structural models appeared on the light screen. The planar walls of the first two models contained skill nodes that stabilized the Law.

Y-417, however, only had a single, naturally formed planar wall structure, which had now been torn open by the dimensional navigation engine, creating a gap several kilometers wide.

"No wonder."

Allen leaned back in his captain’s chair.

"I thought I’d gone and punched a hole in the sky of this backwater place."

[Judging by the physical results, your description is fundamentally accurate.]

’Jarvis is getting better and better at conversation.’

At this moment, the last section of the ship’s hull broke free from the Sea of Magical Power.

The dimensional engine lowered its power, and the twelve sets of Super AT Force Fields began to correct the gravitational parameters within the Plane.

After the ship’s stern cleared the planar wall, the rift in the sky still hadn’t closed. Chaotic Magic Power continued to pour into the Plane’s interior.

The Ten Thousand Miles of Sunshine immediately released hundreds of Demon Eyes.

The probes, carrying Allen’s will, sped toward various parts of the continent.

Mountain ranges, rivers, towns, Magic Ore Veins, and large lifeform clusters quickly appeared on the tactical map.

[Thirty-two percent of continental area scanned.]

[Multiple zones of negative energy contamination detected.]

[High-energy Magic Power fluctuation cluster detected, located in the center of the continent, 17,600 kilometers away in a straight line.]

[A large-scale war is occurring in the target area.]

Allen raised his hand and tapped the red area.

The image zoomed in rapidly.

"Let’s go take a look."

The Ten Thousand Miles of Sunshine adjusted its bow.

Five Earth Vein Magic Furnaces synchronized their output. The massive hull turned in mid-air, then the warship crashed through the clouds, heading for the Azure Sky Fortress.

...

On the battlefield, no one understood what was happening in the sky. Whether it was the charging Demons or the Wizards on the city walls preparing for a desperate, final stand, everyone was utterly captivated by the behemoth descending from the heavens.

Baroque gripped his battle-axe, staring up at the black bow of the ship as it gradually revealed its full form.

A colossal, 1,500-meter-long black steel ship broke through the clouds and simply, brutally, hovered over the battlefield. Its hull was covered in cold, black armor, its smooth yet savage lines exuding the unique, violent aesthetic of an industrial creation.

The shadow it cast enveloped half of the Azure Sky Fortress.

Armor plates on the warship’s underside unfolded layer by layer, revealing dense clusters of deployment bays and weapon arrays. Eighty-four Plasma Bombardment Cannons swiveled their turrets, and blue-white arcs of electricity danced between their muzzles.

Kassen had lived for over four hundred years, yet he had never seen such a creation.

It bore the insignia of no known Witchcraft School.

Merely by hovering there, it caused the Azure Sky Fortress’s defensive arrays to issue overwhelmed alarms.

Baroque was the first to recover from the shock.

He spread his wings and shot into the air.

"This is the territory of Lord Sargeras!"

Evil Energy gathered on his battle-axe.

"Unknown intruder, state your..."

The warship passed over his head like a speeding train passing a telephone pole.

No answer. Completely ignored.

Baroque’s remaining words caught in his throat.

On the bridge, Allen had already gotten a clear view of the battle below through the observation array.

Tens of thousands of demon-like creatures of various forms were besieging a city.

They released a sickly green energy, and behind them were scattered altars and flesh-hatching facilities.

The other side consisted mainly of humans, defending with a standard Witchcraft system and outdated Alchemy Creations.

’It’s clear who the enemy is.’

But Allen still made a final confirmation.

"Those lumps of meat down there, those should be the Demons, right?"

[Confirmed.]

[Cross-referenced with the Association’s Demon compendium. The energy signature of the biological samples has a 98.7% match with the ’Abyssal Demon’ entry in the Association’s database. Forty-seven types of Demon units are present.]

[The city’s defenders match the characteristics of the native sentient race of Y-417.]

Allen’s caution wasn’t without reason.

Wizards were known to get really wild with their bloodline modifications.

Some transplanted Demon hearts, others replaced their limbs with demonic ones, and some went so far as to transform themselves completely into abyssal creatures. If he fired on the wrong target, the rescue mission would instantly become a mission to silence witnesses.

Such a record wouldn’t be conducive to passing the Vice-Minister’s assessment.

"Very good."

Allen nodded, his face devoid of any extraneous expression. He looked at the dense red dots on the light screen, representing countless Demons, as if looking at mobs on a game map waiting to be cleared.

He raised his hand and issued a concise command.

"Fire."

The next second, the eighty-four Plasma Bombardment Cannons on both sides of the Ten Thousand Miles of Sunshine began to charge simultaneously.

Eerie blue arcs of electricity converged at the muzzles, and the air filled with the scorching aura of highly concentrated energy.

ZZZZT—

Accompanied by a low hum that seemed to pierce the very soul.

Eighty-four blue-white plasma spheres, each over ten meters in diameter, fell toward the Demon army below like a spectacular meteor shower.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

The first plasma sphere slammed into the most densely packed area of Demons.

There were no fiery explosions, only an incandescent white halo that expanded in an instant.

Wherever the halo reached, whether it was the thick-skinned horned demons or the fearless lesser demons, they were instantly disintegrated and vaporized, leaving not even ash behind.

Then came the second, the third...

The blue-white halos bloomed one after another in the black sea of Demons, like an eraser scrubbing a pencil drawing, crudely and efficiently wiping away large swathes of "stains."

A single volley plowed dozens of huge, circular clearings into the Demon army’s formation.

Apprentices on the city walls covered their ears.

The sound of the explosions still passed through their palms and ruptured their eardrums. Rubble trickled down the face of the city walls, and the Crystal Stone casings of the Magic-guided Cannon arrays began to crack one after another.

Allen noticed the fortress’s structural limits.

"Shift the line of fire outward by three kilometers."

[Corrected.]

[Aerial targets attempting to flee detected.]

Three hundred and twenty universal launch units opened simultaneously, and thousands of "Red Lotus" Magic Missiles, their tails spewing crimson flames, howled forth like a roused swarm of bloodthirsty bees.

The winged demons in the sky flapped their wings frantically, but the Magic Missiles turned in pursuit.

Fireballs bloomed one after another in the sky.

Every remaining missile precisely locked onto its target, carving deadly arcs through the air before plunging headlong into the clusters of fleeing Demons.

A terrifying chain reaction of explosions occurred. A searing wave of fire swept across the battlefield, hurling scorched earth and corpses into the air, only for them to fall back down under the pull of gravity as a scalding slurry of blood and flesh.

In the eyes of Kassen and the other three Witch Kings, the Demon army that had pushed them to the brink—an army that seemed endless—was now being annihilated in vast swathes, at a speed they couldn’t possibly comprehend.

That wasn’t a battle. It was a slaughter.

No, it didn’t even qualify as a slaughter. It was more like... a pest extermination.

Baroque let out a furious roar.

He had endured two plasma bombardments. Half of his bat-like wing was gone, and charred bone was exposed on his chest.

"Coward!"

"Come out and face me in a decisive battle!"

He swung his battle-axe, unleashing a blade of Evil Energy several hundred meters long that crashed into the Super AT Force Field.

The surface of the Force Field merely rippled.

[Attack Strength Assessment: High Level 2.]

[No effective damage sustained.]

Allen didn’t even blink.

"Concentrate fire."

Five Plasma Cannons swiveled their muzzles.

Only in this moment did Baroque realize the disparity between them.

"Lord Sargeras... my great master... will not forgive you!!"

"My lord’s true form will eventually..."

The response was another, even more concentrated, volley of plasma fire.

This time, Baroque’s massive body, along with the Demons for hundreds of meters around him, was completely erased from this world.

On the bridge, Allen’s gaze didn’t even linger on the Demon Commander for more than a second.

His eyes fell on the battle damage data displayed by Jarvis as he calmly issued the next command.

"Deploy the First, Second, and Third Golem Legions."

"Establish a forward defensive position. Take control of the battlefield."

"Mop up the remaining enemies, destroy the altars, and seal all cross-boundary nodes."

Three Space Gates opened on the ground. Heavy mechanical feet stepped onto the earth as a torrent of steel descended as if from the heavens.

On the city walls, the surviving Wizards stared blankly at the battlefield, which had been blasted into a molten sea of fire. The immense roar had ruptured many apprentices’ eardrums, causing blood to flow freely, but they were completely unaware.

’Did they win?’

No.

Fear, a fear even more profound than what they felt facing the Demons, seized everyone’s heart.

Because the black colossus, an embodiment of Divine Punishment, did not leave after delivering its world-ending strike.

It began to descend slowly, its enormous hull pressing down, straight toward the Azure Sky Fortress.

Its 1,500-meter shadow passed over the city walls, like another invasion.

Inside the fortress, large numbers of soldiers collapsed to the ground. A few Wizards tried to maintain order, but their own Magic Staffs were trembling.
