Chapter 192: Chapter 134: Castle of the Dead, Special-Type Meditation Technique
"It’s nothing. I just want to go out for a stroll and tour Storm City."
Roy replied casually.
That’s what he said, but his goal wasn’t just to have Selena show him around Storm City.
While touring Storm City, he planned to visit some of the Silver Clans along the way.
For example, the Snow Mammoth Clan.
He didn’t know if Robert and Gray had returned to Storm City.
However, even if they had returned and complained to the Snow Mammoth Clan’s Leader, he couldn’t care less.
Upon hearing Roy’s words, Monica quickly said, "If you just want to tour Storm City, I can be your guide."
"She might not have time. Besides, one guide is enough."
’Indeed, one guide is enough.’
However, Roy had no intention of changing his mind.
’Being shown around Storm City by a pair of beautiful twins was a completely different experience from being shown around by just one.’
"Let’s go ask her first. If she doesn’t have time, then you can be the guide,"
Roy said slowly.
"Mm-hm!"
Monica thought for a moment, then nodded.
Before long, they arrived at the first-floor library, where they found Selena reading a book.
At that moment, Selena was wearing an elegant, deep-blue dress. She sat at a reading table by the window, her head tilted and her left cheek resting in her hand as she browsed the book before her.
Outside, the sun was bright and a gentle breeze blew.
Inside, it was quiet and comfortable, the silence broken only by the occasional rustle of a turning page.
Selena, sitting at the reading table with her cheek in her hand, seemed to merge with the library’s quiet atmosphere, creating a beautiful picture of elegant focus and captivating intellect.
At the sight, a poem involuntarily surfaced in Roy’s mind.
"You stand on the bridge watching the scenery, while the person watching the scenery watches you from a balcony. The bright moon adorns your window, and you adorn someone else’s dream."
’There was no bridge here, no balcony, and the library was hardly a scenic view.’
’But that didn’t stop him from feeling something similar.’
After admiring the scene from the library entrance for more than ten seconds, Roy finally walked toward Selena.
Soon, he and Monica reached Selena’s side.
When Selena saw Roy approaching with Monica, she gave them a puzzled look.
Then, her gaze fell upon Roy’s red hair.
"Why did you suddenly dye your hair red?"
Selena asked in a gentle voice.
"A change of style,"
Roy replied.
"It’s quite nice. More eye-catching than the blond."
Selena first commented on Roy’s red hair, then continued, "Did you two need something from me?"
"I’m planning to go out and tour Storm City."
"Oh, right. Are the letters of challenge I asked you to prepare ready?"
Roy said slowly.
He had spent the entire past week at the manor without leaving once.
However, he hadn’t forgotten about the letters of challenge he’d asked Selena to prepare for the other clans.
He could have just shown up at their doors to fight without any warning, but that would be too much of a slap in the face.
To allow these Golden and Silver Clans to save a final shred of face, he had specifically instructed Selena to prepare letters of challenge.
"They’re all ready. I can have someone deliver them at any time,"
Selena replied promptly.
"Then have someone deliver them now."
Roy said casually.
"Alright!"
Selena nodded, closed the book in front of her, and got up.
After leaving the library, Selena immediately returned to her room to retrieve the letters of challenge she had prepared in advance. She then arranged for guards to deliver them to the respective clans with the utmost speed.
Meanwhile, Monica instructed the manor’s coachman to prepare a carriage for their outing.
Just as the guards left the manor with the letters of challenge, the coachman parked a luxurious four-wheeled carriage in the plaza in front of the main building.
After they waited for a moment in the drawing room, Selena appeared in Roy and Monica’s line of sight, having changed from her deep-blue dress into black Hunter’s Clothing.
After glancing at Selena, Roy said slowly, "Let’s go."
"Mm-hm,"
Selena and Monica replied in unison.
Boarding the luxurious carriage in the main building’s plaza, Roy, who had been cooped up in the manor for a week, was finally heading out.
Harvey stood at the window of his study, watching the carriage as it headed toward the manor’s main gate.
After confirming that Roy was a Golden Great Knight, he had thought Roy would soon go out and challenge the other Golden Great Knights.
As it turned out, he was wrong.
Though his guess had been wrong, when he discovered that Roy spent all day holed up in his guest room practicing his Cultivation, he began to understand why Roy had advanced to Golden Great Knight at such a young age, and his awe for him grew even deeper.
’Someone more talented than you isn’t scary. What’s scary is when someone more talented than you also works harder than you!’
Once the carriage left the manor, Selena and Monica began to tell Roy about the local customs and culture of Storm City, as well as all the fun places to visit.
Roy listened patiently to their descriptions, occasionally asking questions related to the Wizarding World and the Imperial Guardian.
’He hadn’t forgotten his main reason for coming to Storm City: to secure a spot for himself to enter the Wizarding World.’
’Collecting the Perfect Breathing Techniques from the various major clans was merely a side quest.’
Selena and Monica held nothing back, telling him everything they knew.
After listening to their explanation, Roy frowned slightly.
He knew that most of the Wizard Apprentices who went to the Wizarding World came from the Golden and Silver Clans.
