Chapter 212: Chapter 212: Tomb of the Giant Elephant

BANG! BANG! BANG! This was the sound of the Giant Elephants using Witchcraft to carve out an underground passage.

Accompanied by a series of simple Earthquake Techniques, a deep, dark tunnel slowly appeared before the Giant Elephant Race.

This was the very same tunnel the Giant Snake Race had unintentionally carved out when they entered the Tomb of the Giant Elephant.

After the tunnel was opened, an incredibly foul stench wafted out, causing several Giant Elephants to choke and stumble back a few steps.

But, led by several Six-toothed Giant Elephants, they quickly pressed on, clearing the passage the giant pythons had made as they tracked them to their source.

Soon, all the Giant Elephants had departed from the Tomb of the Giant Elephant.

At this point, the Giant Elephants weren’t the least bit worried about anyone raiding their home.

After such a brutal battle, the Giant Elephant Race had once again solidified its position as the Overlord of this continent.

And so, the Giant Elephants left without any worries.

Their departure, however, gave Andre and Karina the perfect opportunity.

After waiting in their safe house for a full day to confirm there were no Giant Elephants nearby, the two of them flew out and made a beeline for the Tomb of the Giant Elephant.

"The Tomb of the Giant Elephant was sealed by the elephants with Witchcraft. It’s nearly impossible to get in unless you possess the Giant Elephant Bloodline."

Andre and Karina arrived before the Tomb of the Giant Elephant.

Karina explained. Hearing this, Andre just nodded nonchalantly.

"I already anticipated that. Look, what’s that over there?"

Andre extended his hand and pointed to the side. Karina turned to look.

There, where Andre was pointing, lay an enormous ivory tusk.

This was the very tusk a Six-tusked Giant Elephant had accidentally broken off while ramming one of the giant pythons.

"Can we extract anything from this?" Karina asked Andre, a hint of doubt in her eyes.

Andre might be a Master Alchemist, but an ivory tusk wasn’t flesh and blood.

Besides, the tusk was already broken. Trying to extract Giant Elephant blood from it would be incredibly difficult.

"Do you really think these Magical Beasts possess as many sealing Witchcrafts as we Wizards do?"

"Or are you suggesting a Morning Star Level Giant Elephant was born among their ancestors?"

Andre’s words made Karina pause, but then she understood.

"You mean we can get in just by holding something that carries the aura of a Giant Elephant?"

"Otherwise, do you really think those newborn calves could open the entrance to the Tomb of the Giant Elephant with their own Power?"

Andre shook his head, walked over to the ivory tusk, and placed it in his Storage Ring.

He then walked back and took the tusk out again.

The tusk was too large and heavy. Without the Storage Ring, the only way Andre could have moved it would have been to reveal his true form.

But if he revealed his true form, his secret would be exposed as well.

That was why he’d used the Storage Ring to move the tusk.

Once the tusk was out, Andre began to examine its condition.

To enter the Tomb of the Giant Elephant, they needed to grind some powder from the tusk.

If he could just grind off some powder, he had a way to fool the Witchcraft protecting the Tomb of the Giant Elephant.

However, no matter how he tried to grind it, the tusk remained completely unscathed.

Andre couldn’t manage to scrape off even a speck of powder.

"Damn, this thing is hard," Andre grumbled after trying for a long while, grimacing at the tusk.

"Let me try." Seeing Andre struggling, Karina offered to take over. She then produced a round disk and began to grind it relentlessly against the tusk.

"The Stone of Radiance Transformation... I didn’t expect you to have something so valuable."

A flash of surprise crossed Andre’s eyes as he looked at the disk in Karina’s hand.

"I came across it by chance. Its main purpose is just for sharpening weapons."

"Other than that, it has no use."

Karina glanced up at Andre, adding nonchalantly.

"That’s not necessarily true. If you crafted a Shield from the Stone of Radiance Transformation, its Defense Power would be terrifying."

"But to this day, it seems no one in the Wizard World has ever found a piece that large."

Andre’s words sent Karina’s soaring hopes crashing back to earth, shattering them to dust.

"If no one’s ever found a piece that big, then why even bring it up?"

Karina stared at Andre, completely speechless.

"Even if you can’t make a Shield, you can make other things. For instance, you could embed it in Leather Armor to protect your heart. Or, if you’re really afraid of dying, you could fashion it into a helmet to protect your head from attacks."

Karina rolled her eyes at his words.

"So, you’re saying the only use for the Stone of Radiance Transformation is self-preservation, is that it?"

Karina gave Andre a speechless look.

"What else would it be for? Ever since its discovery, no one has found any properties other than its extreme hardness."

"And while no massive pieces have ever been found, plenty of smaller ones have. But without exception, none of them have demonstrated any other special properties."

Andre finished, spreading his hands and shrugging.

Listening to Andre, Karina took a deep breath to quell the anger rising in her heart, then went back to grinding the tusk.

Soon, a fine, pale yellowish-white powder began to fall to the ground. Karina carefully collected it and handed it to Andre.

"Is this enough?"

Andre nodded as he looked at the ivory powder in his hand. He blew on it gently to get rid of any dust, then began to prepare a Potion.

Soon, he had prepared two vials of Disguise Potion. As a final step, he added the ivory powder that Karina had worked so hard to grind.

Instantly, the Disguise Potions, which had been clear, turned the same yellowish-white as the ivory tusk.

"All set!" Andre said, handing one of the Disguise Potions to Karina.

Karina took the Potion and was about to down it in one gulp.

"What are you doing?!" Andre exclaimed, quickly stopping her.

"Aren’t you supposed to drink it?" Karina asked, looking at Andre in surprise.

"You’ve never used a Disguise Potion before?"

Hearing this, Andre let out a helpless sigh.

Karina shook her head.

"You’re a broker who deals in information, and you’ve never used a Disguise Potion? If word of this got out, I doubt many people would want to do business with you."

Andre sighed again, then explained to Karina how to use the Disguise Potion.

She just had to open the vial slightly and let the Potion’s scent cling to her body and clothes.
