Chapter 407: Chapter 408: The Death-Substitute Head

"Does the family have a feud with this King of Ten Thousand Pigs?"

Andre asked tentatively, noticing the change in Antaromen’s and Eight Ancestors’ expressions.

"You’re right. The family certainly has a feud with that thing."

"It’s one of the first creatures in the Star Realm to have made an enemy of our family."

"Back then, some of the family’s worlds used for cultivating Magic Plants weren’t heavily defended. As a result, that creature caught their scent, snuck in, and devoured everything on several worlds, leaving them completely barren."

"At first, the creature was very cautious, moving back and forth between different worlds."

"But when it realized the family hadn’t noticed it eating the Magic Plants, it grew bolder and bolder."

"Eventually, it stopped moving between worlds and would just find one and gorge itself."

"The family initially assumed these worlds had suffered natural disasters. But as more and more worlds were stripped bare, the family decided to send someone to investigate what was really happening. As soon as they did, they found it."

"After discovering the culprit that had picked the worlds clean, the family was, of course, enraged. We swore we would turn that King of Ten Thousand Pigs into bacon."

"But the King of Ten Thousand Pigs’ methods were bizarre. Its forms were numerous and its transformations were rapid. For a time, the family had no way to catch it, and it even managed to slip through our encirclement."

"Later, the family called upon one of the old ancestors, who struck it with a single blow across the infinite void of space."

"And that single blow forced it to spend a hundred thousand years recovering, and that was only after it chopped off fifteen of its own heads to block the attack."

"Since then, that creature has rarely appeared anywhere near the family."

Antaromen recounted this piece of the family’s early history with the King of Ten Thousand Pigs to Andre, his expression grim.

"If we hadn’t been in the middle of an Abyss War back then, you think it could have escaped? Hmph!"

Eight Ancestors was full of scorn for the King of Ten Thousand Pigs.

"Ancestor, from the way you’re acting, it seems you’ve fought this creature before."

Andre asked, looking at Eight Ancestors’ scornful expression.

"That’s right, we have. I fought it for three thousand years. The creature is indeed a huge pain. It endlessly used all sorts of abilities belonging to different Magical Beast races."

"But no matter how many tricks it had, or how powerful the Magical Beast abilities it stole were, they weren’t its own. At most, it could only bring out eighty percent of their Power."

"Under my iron fists, I gave that thing a thorough thrashing. I chopped off thirty-six of its trotters and brought them back as trophies. I still have a few of them stored in my personal world."

Eight Ancestors proudly recounted his own battle record against the King of Ten Thousand Pigs to Andre.

"I ran into that creature before, as well. That time, I almost managed to kill it."

"But what I didn’t expect was that it had somehow acquired a special Space Ability, allowing it to instantly cross the distance of three World Groups."

"It used this Space Ability to escape to some remote corner of the Star Realm."

"By the time I caught up, all that was left was the creature’s lingering aura and the nirvanic power of a Phoenix."

"I encountered it again later on, but the moment it caught my scent, it turned tail and fled."

Antaromen finished recounting his own encounter with the King of Ten Thousand Pigs to Andre.

"I see. So, do you think it’s possible the Ten Thousand Pillar King will come to save this descendant of his?"

"It coming to save its descendant? You must be joking."

As Andre asked the question, Eight Ancestors and Antaromen shared the exact same expression: a look of scornful amusement.

"Are you both really so sure it won’t come?"

Andre frowned and said to Eight Ancestors and Antaromen.

"Do you know who it was that delivered that blow back then?"

Eight Ancestors looked at Andre with a mischievous grin, drawing out the suspense.

"It couldn’t have been Ancestor Andeta, could it?"

Seeing Eight Ancestors’ expression, Andre instantly guessed which family elder had struck the King of Ten Thousand Pigs.

"That’s right. It was Ancestor Andeta."

"And precisely because of that blow, nowadays, wherever Ancestor Andeta is, that creature flees. It doesn’t even dare to get close."

"Right now, that boar is imprisoned not far from Andeta. If the Ten Thousand Pillar King goes over there, I’d have to praise it for its courage."

Antaromen said to Andre, a wide smile on his face.

"I see. In that case, how much can this Ten Thousand Pillar King head sell for?"

Andre asked, looking at the two family elders.

"You want to sell the head for money? Why?"

Eight Ancestors looked at Andre, confused.

"Its Power might be pathetic, but its meat is quite delicious!"

"If you can manage to eat this entire head, by the time you finish, you’ll be on the cusp of becoming a Moonlight Mage!"

Eight Ancestors looked at Andre, assuming he didn’t understand the head’s true value.

"No, it’s because I have something better!"

Andre shook his head and took the Phoenix Blood out from his Secret Realm.

"Phoenix Blood! Don’t tell me you pulled this out of that boar’s lair too!"

Antaromen’s eyes flew wide as he stared at the Phoenix Blood in Andre’s hand. One of his own avatars happened to be a Phoenix.

It was because of this avatar that he constantly sent his other avatars out into the Star Realm to help him collect all sorts of rare treasures.

As long as this Phoenix avatar existed, he would never truly die, no matter what happened to his other selves.

"Yes. I plan to sell this King of Ten Thousand Pigs head for resources, then purchase a few War Witchcraft Artifacts and some Servant Legions to station on this War Moon."

Andre explained his reasoning for selling the head to Antaromen.

"I see. A single head won’t fetch too high a price. At most, you could trade it for three to four Servant Legions, plus three War Witchcraft Artifacts."

Eight Ancestors thought for a moment before quoting a price for Andre.

"Is that all?"

Andre could hardly believe his ears.

’This was a head a Level 7 Creature used to cheat death, and it only sells for this much?’

"Well, what can you do? The creature made enemies of too many races. Its method of getting stronger is based on consuming countless Magical Beast races."

"Weaker Magical Beast races can’t retaliate, but the more powerful ones have joined forces to issue a kill-on-sight order for it across the Star Realm."

"Plenty of powerful experts in the Star Realm have gone after it for the bounty. And though it always managed to escape, it left quite a few of its heads behind. They’re not exactly rare."

The more Andre listened to Eight Ancestors, the more confused he became. ’What does he mean, it left quite a few of its heads behind?’
