Wizard: Grinding to Lord of Truth

Chapter 54: Selling the Harvest

Chapter 54: Chapter 54: Selling the Harvest

"You just said the honey from the Honeycomb has a healing effect on your Soul. How good is it?"

Andre’s eyes darted as he spotted a good business opportunity.

’There are still three large Honeycombs at the Purple Crystal Beehive in Secret Realm No. 1. If Selena thinks the effect is good, I can enter Secret Realm No. 1, bring back one of the Honeycombs, or even move the entire Purple Crystal Bee Swarm back.’

"It’s so-so. The effect is very slow, but it does lessen the pain a bit."

Selena shook her head. If the Purple Crystal Golden Honey Andre had brought out was truly effective, she would have long since begged Krell to let her re-enter Secret Realm No. 1 and take the entire Purple Crystal Bee Swarm for herself.

"Oh, is that right?" Andre nodded, his tone filled with regret.

"You’re not planning on selling the Honeycomb to me, are you?"

Selena narrowed her eyes, having noticed the change in Andre’s tone.

"If I wanted to sell it to you, I... I would have asked you for Magic Stones already!"

Andre shot Selena a look. ’Even though that was exactly what I was thinking, I still have to put on an act.’

"You’d better not. Where are you off to?"

Only then did Selena notice the bag Andre was carrying.

"I’m going to sell off my haul from the Black and White Forest!"

Before Andre could even finish speaking, Selena snatched the bag from his hand.

"Let me see what goodies are inside."

Selena started rummaging through it, but she was sorely disappointed by its contents when she opened the bag. There were only a few Storage Rings and Spatial Bags inside—nothing else.

"This is your haul from four months?"

Selena looked up at Andre, completely bewildered.

Although these Storage Rings and Spatial Bags were certainly worth a good amount of Magic Stones, it didn’t seem like something Andre would be rushing to sell first thing in the morning.

"Of course not. There are also some Witchcraft Artifacts and Potions. Think you can afford them?"

Andre gave Selena a provocative look.

"I... I... Can’t I just take a look?"

Selena opened her mouth, but when she thought of her own personal savings, she realized she couldn’t afford them with her own funds. Unless she added her parents’ wealth into the mix, she really couldn’t afford them.

"Yep, they’re all here. Four Magic Staffs, one Ring, and one Necklace."

"The Witch Arrays inscribed on the Magic Staffs are all more or less the same, used to amplify the power of one’s Witchcraft. The Ring contains a special Witchcraft, the Immobilization Technique, which can immobilize someone for fifteen seconds. The Necklace is inscribed with a Defense Witchcraft called the Obsidian Shield."

"Additionally, there are some Witchcraft Tools. These tools require Magic Stones and other materials to activate."

Andre took out the six Witchcraft Artifacts and also laid out seven or eight Witchcraft Tools.

As soon as Andre laid out the items, Selena’s eyes were immediately drawn to the Obsidian Necklace.

However, the Obsidian Necklace was inscribed with the Obsidian Shield, a Level 1 Earth Element Defense Witchcraft. For this reason, the Obsidian Necklace was the most valuable of the six Witchcraft Artifacts.

Next was the Immobilization Ring. In a Wizard’s battle, the Immobilization Technique inscribed on the ring could often be used to catch an opponent by surprise, turning the tide of the fight and securing victory for its wielder.

Because of this feature, the two Witchcraft Artifacts were comparable in value, though overall, the Obsidian Necklace was worth slightly more.

As for the remaining four Magic Staffs, they were all inscribed with a Witchcraft Array called the Array of Amplification, which could increase the power of cast Witchcraft by twenty to thirty percent.

This level of amplification allowed a Wizard wielding one of the staffs to completely overwhelm a Wizard without one, so their price was also quite high.

The most valuable of the Witchcraft Tools were two items in a set.

These two tools were a pair of Twin Rings that could be worn on one hand. When activated, the user could form a roaming Shield of Radiance around themselves, capable of defending against three Level 1 Witchcraft attacks.

The drawback was obvious, however. With the Obsidian Shield inscribed on the Obsidian Necklace, one simply had to keep channeling Magic Power into the necklace to maintain the shield indefinitely.

The Shield of Radiance from the Twin Rings, on the other hand, had to be charged with Magic Stones before use.

Once its Magic Power was depleted, the Shield of Radiance would disappear. To use it again, it had to be recharged with Magic Stones; infusing it with one’s own Magic Power would not work.

But if used correctly, it could save your life.

Below the Radiant Ring Pair in value were two more defensive Witchcraft Tools: the Flying Shield Bracelet and the Water Shield Ring.

Both of these Witchcraft Tools could block a single Level 1 Witchcraft attack, after which they would need to be recharged with special materials.

The way these two items defended was also different. The Water Shield Ring simply conjured a very ordinary water shield to block an attack.

The Flying Shield Bracelet, however, summoned nine Stone Shields—a type of Level 0 Witchcraft—and arranged them into a nine-shield wall for defense.

It negated the opponent’s attack by wearing it down layer by layer.

The remaining Witchcraft Tools were all offensive items, each sealing a single Level 1 Witchcraft.

"Which one do you want?"

Andre asked, looking at Selena. ’Maybe I can make my first sale of the day with her.’

Selena’s eyes were dazzled as she looked at all the items Andre had laid out.

There were many items she wanted, especially one of the four Magic Staffs—the Wind Staff.

The Meditation Technique Selena practiced was related to Wind, and the other items she wanted were the Obsidian Necklace and the Radiant Ring Pair.

These items would be enough to keep her safe from harm until she became an Official Wizard.

"How much for these three items together, in Magic Stones?"

Selena pointed to the items she wanted as she asked Andre the question.

As she asked, Selena felt extremely apprehensive.

These three items were, for the most part, the most valuable things Andre had presented.

"Not much! Ten thousand Magic Stones!"

Andre held up a finger as he looked at Selena.

"Only ten thousand Magic Stones? That’s so cheap!"

Selena stared at Andre suspiciously upon hearing the price, and Andre simply shook his head.

"Ten thousand Medium Magic Stones!"

"Ten thousand Medium Magic Stones! You might as well just rob me!"

Selena immediately flew into a panic. Ten thousand Medium Magic Stones was the equivalent of one million Elementary Magic Stones. For that price, she could buy comparable Witchcraft Artifacts.

"I’m the one selling, so of course I’m going to ask for a sky-high price. If you want to buy, you’re supposed to haggle. After we go back and forth a few times and land on a suitable price, we’ll have a deal!"

Seeing Selena’s furious expression, Andre remained completely unfazed and replied calmly.

After Andre finished, Selena was instantly at a loss for words. There was nothing wrong with what he had just said.
