Wizard: Grinding to Lord of Truth

Chapter 56: Selling

Chapter 56: Chapter 56: Selling

"You could say that," Andre said with a nod. ’If this stuff counts as an inheritance, then it’s an inheritance. I’m just the one who killed the Wizards it belonged to.’

"There’s too much here. Bagra, An Ku, go get the others!"

The heavyset man, after a moment of surprise, sent his companions to get more people.

If they could team up and acquire this entire collection of Witchcraft Tools from Andre, they could sell them off slowly over a long period for a much higher profit.

Although it would require a huge sum of Magic Stones up front, which would be a massive drain on their current reserves.

But in the long run, this deal was sure to be profitable—and the margins were not small, either.

Andre was not the least bit concerned about the man calling for backup. He had only put out two-thirds of his stock, and it was the lower-value items at that.

He still had the remaining third hidden away.

Soon, several more Wizard Apprentices arrived at Andre’s stall. They looked at the Witchcraft Tools Andre had laid out, turning them over and over.

After confirming that all the Witchcraft Tools were in good condition, they exchanged a glance. The heavyset man took the lead and asked Andre for the price.

"My name is Gru. How much are you selling all this for?"

After introducing himself, Gru posed the question. Andre thought for a moment before answering, "500,000 Magic Stones."

"500,000 Magic Stones... That price!" Drew turned and exchanged a look with his companions.

If they bought the Witchcraft Tools at that price, they would still make a profit, but it would completely drain them of all the Magic Stones they had on hand.

"That price is too high!"

Gru asked, frowning at Andre.

"I also accept item-for-item trades."

Andre nodded, offering a second option for the deal, and took a list from his Storage Ring.

Gru took the list from Andre and opened it. As he read the items Andre had written down, his pupils constricted.

The value of the items Andre wanted was incredibly high—basically on par with the Witchcraft Tools he had laid out.

As people who did business in the academy year-round, they possessed many of the items on the list. However, they were reluctant to part with them.

The market for Witchcraft Tools was only so large; if this many items flooded it at once, the market wouldn’t be able to absorb them.

This meant that if they acquired this batch of Witchcraft Tools through a trade, the items would be dead stock in their inventory for a long time.

Over that period, their potential profits would dwindle.

"We do have quite a few of the things you’re asking for, but can you lower the price a little?"

Gru asked, his brow furrowed as he looked at Andre.

Instead of answering Gru, Andre simply took out the rest of his Witchcraft Tools.

The moment the additional Witchcraft Tools appeared, Gru’s mouth snapped shut. His breathing grew heavy.

His companions’ breathing also grew ragged. Their eyes began to gleam with avarice as they stared menacingly at Andre, as if they wanted to tear Magic Stones right off his body.

"Let me introduce myself. I am Andre, one of this year’s new Wizards. I am a disciple of Professor Radak and also of Dean Krell."

Looking at the Wizard Apprentices, who were clearly entertaining some bad ideas, Andre calmly and deliberately stated his background.

When Andre mentioned his own name, along with Krell and Radak as his backers, the vicious glint in their eyes vanished instantly. They became as meek as lambs.

At the same time, their expressions held a hint of grievance. ’You’re backed by two titans like that? You should have said so earlier! We almost had a huge misunderstanding!’

"Right. Please give us a moment to discuss this."

Gru stood up and spoke to Andre, then turned to his companions to discuss which items they would take off Andre’s hands.

Ten minutes later, Gru and the others finished their discussion. Following the list Andre had provided, they laid out the items they were offering in trade in front of him, then took the Witchcraft Tools they had chosen.

The trade was completed swiftly.

In an instant, half the items on Andre’s stall were gone.

Andre had now acquired two-thirds of the equipment he needed for Potion-making. All that was left were a large, expensive centrifuge and a purifier.

Once the trade was complete, Gru and his group left the market, carrying the Witchcraft Tools.

They needed to sell these Witchcraft Tools as quickly as possible to corner the market.

By the time anyone else bought in bulk from Andre, they would find that Gru’s group had already captured the market for Witchcraft Tools.

After Gru and his group left, several more waves of customers came to Andre’s stall.

These customers looked at the Witchcraft Tools on Andre’s stall with great interest, but they recoiled when they saw his prices. Pulling back their hands, they could only offer Andre an embarrassed smile.

Andre didn’t mind in the least and simply waited for the next potential buyer.

Time ticked by, and the number of Witchcraft Tools on his stall steadily dwindled. By sunset, the very last one had been sold.

But Andre didn’t leave. Instead, he took out four Magic Staffs.

When these four Magic Staffs appeared in the market, they instantly caused a sensation. People flocked over to see who could possibly be selling four Witchcraft Artifacts at once.

But when they came to Andre’s stall and saw it was Andre selling them, all their doubts disappeared.

He was Professor Radak’s only disciple and the final disciple of the Vice Dean. With those two statuses combined, what were four Magic Staffs to someone like Andre?

Andre offered no explanation. He simply swapped out his list of requested items and continued his sale.

When Andre took out this new list, people shook their heads one after another.

It was because Andre’s request was simply delusional: he wanted to trade the four Magic Staffs for a Magic Plant Space.

A Magic Plant Space was an independent dimension where Magic Plants could be cultivated. Such spaces were extremely rare and incredibly expensive.

The value of four Magic Staffs was nowhere near enough to purchase a Magic Plant Space. Many onlookers tried to persuade Andre to lower his price or trade for something else.

Andre, however, paid no attention to the others’ voices. He took out the remaining two Witchcraft Artifacts and placed them on the ground, followed by three Storage Rings.

When these items were brought out, everyone shut their mouths.

Because the combined value of all these items was, in fact, enough to trade for even the smallest Magic Plant Space.
