Wizard: I Add Points and Hunt Monsters
Chapter 502 - 206: Your Strength!?
"Prepare for battle!"
...
...
「Meanwhile, in the theater space.」
"Tina, understand, two hundred."
With a deadpan expression, Little White Fur finished counting the Gonzalez words she had learned, then held up two slender fingers and waved them in front of Wei’en.
"Yes, very impressive."
Wei’en said with a smile as he munched on a baked potato.
Tina’s progress in learning the Gonzalez language wasn’t fast, but it certainly wasn’t slow. At least, it was better than Miss Zombie, who had only learned twenty words.
Shawa sat to the side with her head lowered, staring at a corner of the dining table. She was clearly aware of her own learning progress...
"Tina. Clown. Impressive."
"Oh? Is that what you think?"
Wei’en looked at the white-haired girl with some surprise, not expecting to hear her praise the clown.
"Tina, no write."
Then, as if to prove her point, Little White Fur grabbed a quill and drew a jumble of what looked like Gonzalez words on a piece of parchment, then held it in front of the clown doll.
"Tina. Read."
The clown doll sat motionlessly on the dining table. Seeing the contents of the parchment, he despaired internally.
’Who the hell can recognize what characters these damn scribbles are?’
"Read!"
’Read it?’
’This writing is toxic!’
The clown raised his two fluffy hands to cover his button eyes. With two SNAPS, he yanked the buttons right off and forced a miserable smile. "Little White Fur, I’m blind..."
Tina looked at the buttons in his hands and the remaining tufts of thread on his red nose, then turned to look at Wei’en.
Her cold expression seemed to say: ’Brother Wei’en, see? I really can’t write...’
Wei’en looked at Mr. Leonard, who was being driven mad by Tina, and couldn’t help but laugh. "Alright, I know you haven’t started learning to write yet. Take your time, there’s no rush."
Little White Fur nodded gravely, looked at the clown doll, and lifted a finger.
"Huh?!"
The clown doll’s arm shot up as if controlled by something. Its hand was pried open, and the two buttons fell out, only to be caught by an invisible force and left hovering in mid-air.
Immediately after, the two buttons shot toward the clown’s face, and the loose threads automatically stitched the buttons back on.
Only after doing all this did Tina release the clown doll, stating coolly, "Tina. You. Not blind."
"..."
The clown doll realized Little White Fur had intended to repair his buttons for him, and his mouth twitched.
’Damn it, why does this scene feel so familiar?’
"Wei’en, is there any chance..." The clown looked at Wei’en, his mouth of red yarn gaping, "that you could rein her in?!"
’I remember, a long time ago, this is exactly how she used to treat me... Hmm, and that eternally sunny big brother of mine, too...’
’This Little White Fur’s personality is really getting more and more like that detestable sister of mine!’
’It was a past too painful to even think about!’
"Pfft-hahaha..."
Wei’en looked at the aggrieved expression the clown had managed to force onto the doll’s face and could no longer hold back his laughter.
"You! Do you even want those Abyssal Creatures anymore?!"
"Haha, my apologies, my apologies. I get it. I’ll try my best to get Tina to control herself..."
’But if she can’t control herself, well, there’s nothing I can do about it.’
The clown once again caught his thought and was so angry he jumped right off the dining table. He ran to a corner and stood with his back to them, thinking about how he would swindle—ah, no, persuade the Lord of the Abyss to give him the servants guarding the Abyssal Gate.
’Hmph, I have to beat him up!’
Seeing this, Wei’en laughed even louder.
The crazy clown had met his match in Little White Fur!
CREAK.
Just then, the door to the rest area opened.
Pavla, fully dressed, walked out and met Wei’en’s smiling eyes. A wave of panic hit her, but she forced a calm expression as she walked over.
"I’m sorry, I forgot to prepare dinner."
’Hm?’
Wei’en looked the Candidacy Saintess up and down. She was still in her Golden Robe. He wasn’t sure if it was his imagination, but this Inheritor of the Benevolence authority seemed to be afraid of him.
’Afraid?’
’Tsk tsk, she didn’t actually take my previous threats seriously, did she?’
"Shawa prepared a portion for you as well."
"Thank you."
Pavla thanked Miss Zombie and sat down next to her. Seeing the simple dinner on the table—a baked potato and a slice of bread—she relaxed slightly.
’They’re different. The Mutated Mage is different from the Evil Mage in that book!’
’If it had been the Evil Mage who abused Hilia, he would have vented his anger over the lack of dinner by taking the life of a devout believer. He would never have been as casual about it as Wei’en.’
Wei’en watched Pavla eat her dinner with her head lowered, then thought for a moment before asking, "Do you know anything about the Judgement Saintess?"
"The Judgement Saintess?" Pavla froze for a second. "You mean Saintess Celestia Edas?"
"Yes, I think that’s the name. Can you tell me about her?"
Wei’en only knew that this Judgement Saintess’s power was comparable to the legendary-tier, but he knew nothing of her abilities. He was hoping to get some information out of Pavla.
"Is... is she coming here?" Pavla stopped her knife and fork, her expression a mixture of reverence and awe.
"Thanks to you all, it seems the Dawn Church has arranged for her to lead some so-called Judgment Legion over here."
"Really? The Judgment Legion is coming too?"
"That’s right," Wei’en chuckled. "You seem more surprised than I am. Is there something special about her?"
Pavla saw the smile on his face, and a flash of astonishment crossed her eyes. After thinking for a few seconds, she shook her head and said, "I will never tell you anything about Lady Celestia!"
"Are you sure?"
"I won’t say a thing!"
