Wizard: I Add Points and Hunt Monsters
Chapter 596: Zafarulla and Galina
Wei’en stared at the black Era Relic with its sparkling gemstone for a moment, but few thoughts crossed his mind.
Other than knowing it was very important to Clelia, he could hardly guess its contents. Was it more about the Third Era Turing Empire, or something else entirely…
He then laid a few blank sheets of parchment on his workbench. Finding his previous translations, he placed them on top. With a quill in his right hand, he prepared to write down what he translated next.
Then, he opened the Era Relic.
Suddenly, a mouth full of sharp teeth materialized on the edge of the book, roaring madly.
“Du’a!!”
‘The Dark Night?’
Wei’en didn’t immediately use his Spiritual Power to suppress the mouth on the book’s edge. Instead, he let it continue to roar, wanting to see what else it would say besides the word ‘Du’a’.
“Du’a!”
“K’rao… ti-ah… Du’a!”
‘Eternal Night…’
Wei’en was startled. New content had appeared. ‘But what’s going on with that mouth?’
‘Its earlier tone was so desperate, but when it said ‘Eternal Night,’ it changed to one with a hint of respect?’
‘Reverence?’
“Mi… lan-ra… s’geh…”
“Du’a!!!”
“K’rao… ti-ah… Du’a!”
“Mi… lan-ra… s’geh…”
“Du’a!!!”
Wei’en listened for a while. Seeing that it was just repeating these three phrases, he resignedly used his Spiritual Power to erase it.
Besides “The Dark Night” and “Eternal Night,” the meaning of the third phrase was unclear. To him, it sounded like a prayer—was it ‘Please don’t hurt someone?’ or ‘Please don’t leave someone?’
He checked his panel but saw no notification that he had successfully translated something or unlocked a new Gonzalez vocabulary word.
He then carefully examined the first page—a sheet of parchment torn in half, with only half a page remaining.
“…the dark night ends the chaos, the primordial falls silent… Hmm?”
As Wei’en transcribed the sentence, he came across a word he didn’t recognize. ‘So there’s something on the very first page that even Master-level Gonzalez can’t translate?’
“Ike… mi… The shape of this last character is so strange…”
He attempted to translate it. Master-level Gonzalez had a fifty percent success rate, so he figured he could get the translation after a few deductions.
“After the primordial fell silent… someone fell into a deep slumber…”
[You have successfully unlocked a new Gonzalez vocabulary word. Evaluation: Someone fell into a deep slumber? Someone? Heh heh… Special Reward: Survival Points +1, Gonzalez +1.]
A notification flashed on the panel.
Wei’en frowned. He was now certain that the last, strangely shaped character represented the name of a deity.
‘Someone?’
‘The ‘someone’ in the evaluation… does the panel know its true name, or something?’
‘A true name…’
Next, Wei’en used his mastery of Gonzalez to find some connections, trying to write down a few names, but none of them worked.
‘Is it none of the gods I already know?’
‘Forget it. I’ll see what comes next.’
That was all for the half-sheet of parchment. Not knowing the name of the unknown entity didn’t affect the overall translation.
Wei’en looked at all the translated content: a few scattered sentences, with the last one mentioning an unknown god whose name was represented by an “X.”
‘The Dark Night, Eternal Night, please don’t leave…?’
‘…the dark night ends the chaos, and after the primordial falls silent, X falls into a deep slumber.’
The two disjointed fragments left Wei’en scratching his head.
Compared to the chronicles on the second and third pages, the beginning of this Era Relic seemed largely unrelated to the rest of the content.
‘The second page…’
Wei’en suddenly remembered. While translating the second page, he had encountered a large block of Gonzalez text. After he had chosen to spend points on an upgrade, he’d seen what appeared to be a conversation between Gonzalez and some other being.
He remembered that the old, white-robed scholar had said a few things at the end—
“When all know the name ‘Gonzalez,’ He will awaken.”
“Chant my name, and you shall receive eternal wisdom.”
‘Eternal wisdom, that’s the line!’
“Gonzalez!”
Wei’en softly chanted His true name—the name of Gonzalez, the only being his panel had designated as an Ancient God.
Furthermore, he subconsciously activated the feat he had gained from upgrading to Expert-level Gonzalez—Hidden Perception!
One second, two seconds…
After a few seconds, Wei’en looked at his unchanged workshop and pursed his lips. ‘Liar. Old liar.’
Then, he lowered his head to continue examining the Era Relic. ‘X…’
Huh?!
As he stared at the name of the unknown being on the half-page of parchment, a hazy halo of light appeared before him, like a layer of mist illuminated from within, obscuring his vision.
‘Hidden Perception? I… ‘
Before Wei’en could finish his thought, his mind seemed to freeze, as if solidified by some entity. As his consciousness sank, he found himself in a brightly lit room.
‘Where am I…?’
Wei’en took in the scene before him—bright, warm sunlight streamed in through an open window. Outside were various domed buildings, tall and majestic, looking pristine and exuding a sacred aura.
Directly across from the window was a building with a round symbol above its dome. From the edges of the gleaming golden circle, several shapes like curling flames extended outward.
‘The two buildings on the left… is that the symbol of the Storm Church? And… that one must be the Earth Church, right?’
He recognized the symbol of Lady Storm—lightning and a stormy vortex. The Earth Church, on the other hand, had always been on the Southern Continent, and its symbol was a giant tree…
He didn’t recognize the symbols on the two buildings to the right.
