Wizard: I Add Points and Hunt Monsters
Chapter 600 - 233: The Truth is Always Hard to Accept (2)
’She’s the avatar of the ruler of the endless night, the Mother of the Silver Moon?!’
"Holy shit..."
Wei’en was completely stunned.
His mind had been tempered to an exceptional strength by all he’d experienced—the incident in the Caster City State, the descent of the Lord of Dawn Orpheus’s projection, and the arrival of projections from the Dusk Sect and the Master of True Slaughter—but this revelation still left him utterly shaken.
"This..."
’This really is a world-shattering secret!’
Wei’en leaned back in his chair, stunned. He remained silent for a long time before the frantic beating in his chest finally subsided.
’What in the world is going on?’
’If Clelia is really the avatar of an Ancient God, how did she end up in her current predicament?’
’Since they’d met, that woman, Clelia, had been severely injured three times and died twice. And now, she had been directly abducted by a pseudo-god...’
’Is this something the avatar of an Ancient God should be experiencing?’
’What could have happened? Did the Ancient God go missing, or is she in a deep slumber?’
Wei’en was filled with doubt. He felt that everything about the world, from the Third Era to the present, was becoming a tangled, unclear mess.
In the Second Era, the world was plunged into chaos by the infiltration of outer gods. Then, Leonard and his companions slew those source souls, ending the turmoil.
’What about after the Third Era?’
’What happened then?’
’And the Fourth Era, and the new and old calendars of the Fifth Era...’
’This is getting interesting.’
Wei’en composed himself, sat up straight, and picked up the Era Relic to continue reading.
’I think I know why I couldn’t see this page clearly...’
He dispersed his Spiritual Power, and a blurry silhouette slowly emerged on the third page. Its eyes shimmered with light, its lips were curved in a gentle smile, and its features were beautiful.
’So there was a mark left by Clelia on this page...’
’Perhaps this was a preparation to undo her seal?’
’Or maybe the Ancient God left it?’
Wei’en had no way of knowing.
But there was one thing he was sure of—Clelia should be safe in that "real" world.
’I just don’t know if the "Master of True Slaughter," McCarthy, is aware of her identity.’
’If he knows, his schemes for Clelia are probably immense. But if he doesn’t... then things are going to get interesting... Heh heh...’
Thinking of this, Wei’en turned past the third page and looked at the contents of the fourth.
Only a few unknown words... The translation wasn’t difficult.
"To flourish only to decline, as if fated by a cycle. Ever since the Third Princess descended into the world, Turing has seemed to be cursed. First, so-called Forbidden Sea Regions appeared one after another in the Eastern Sea Region. The Sea Race emerged from there, harassing the coastal areas time and time again."
"The Eldest Prince, Bain Lilith Leonard, led the Imperial Guard Army on a great expedition. Only after thirty-four years of war did they reach a non-aggression pact with the Sea Race."
"Five years later, ruins appeared throughout the south. As they involved ancient eras, Kaelor consulted with Mother Earth, and it was decided that the Earth Church would take the lead, with the other True God Churches dispatching strong reinforcements to explore them together in hopes of closing the ruins."
"However, one of these ruins was located in a rift valley. Exploration revealed it to be the place where an Ancient God from the early Second Era had fallen. The inside was too bizarre, and after losing a large number of legendary experts, Mother Earth Juannita decided to seal it completely. She had thirty-two churches built around it for the purpose of the seal and personally took up vigil in the Southern Continent."
’Ruins in a rift valley, an Ancient God from the Second Era...’
Wei’en raised an eyebrow. ’This ruin... couldn’t be the one Menor is planning to explore, could it?’
’If it is, then I need to raise my assessment of the Eternal Life Association and Menor a few more notches.’
’Yes, raise it to the level of ’keep a very respectful distance’!’
’Damn it, an ancient ruin that could swallow up multiple legendary-level experts? I’d have to be crazy to run in there and get myself killed.’
’With the panel, as long as I have enough time, reaching the legendary level or even a level comparable to the gods won’t be a problem.’
’Why would I need to go to such a dangerous place just to die?’
After reading the fourth page, Wei’en turned over another sheet of parchment. Huh?
The fifth page was largely black, as if it had been splashed with ink. Only a few scattered spots contained some short phrases.
"...Calamity... Sun... War... End..."
Wei’en looked at the translated phrases, his brow furrowed slightly. He had a feeling this page recorded a major upheaval experienced by the Turing Empire.
’Sun, as in the Sun Church?’
’War, as in the War Church?’
’A calamity descends, and the Sun and War Churches come to an end?’
After thinking for a few seconds, Wei’en gave up on speculating and glanced at the Hidden Detection on his panel.
Activate!
His gaze fell upon the page. Huh?
’It failed?’
Hidden Detection wasn’t guaranteed to succeed every time.
Wei’en sighed and turned another page, coming to the last page of the relic.
There was no text on it, only a single drawing.
"Clelia..."
Although the person in the drawing wasn’t perfectly clear, her silhouette and appearance were definitely Clelia’s. However, she wasn’t wearing a sexy, alluring short skirt, but a dignified black formal gown.
The gown had a high collar, and below her long, fair neck was a black gemstone clasp. The fabric split below the clasp, wrapping around her ample bust and leaving a slight opening in the center.
On the left side of the gown was an exquisite insignia: a night sky, brilliant stars, and a silver moon...
’So in the Third Era, there was no red moon in the sky?’
Wei’en took one last look at the drawing, then closed the Era Relic and stored it, along with his translated notes, into his Space Ring.
