Wizard: I Add Points and Hunt Monsters
Chapter 607 - 235: Aleksey Island 2
"So, the ruins on the Southern Continent?" Wei’en asked, his expression shifting.
"We’ll see. If I have any news, I’ll contact you through that card." Menor pointed to the black card in Wei’en’s hand. "Take good care of it."
"Yes, I understand."
"Also, if you don’t have anywhere to go for now, head to Avad Island. It’s the Black Pearl’s public base of operations. We’ll rendezvous there."
"Alright."
The words had barely been spoken when he saw Menor tear open a spatial rift. Violent turbulence tore through the studio, leaving behind a web of fine cracks, like shattered glass.
"Until next time, Wei’en," Menor said, pulling Kleia along as he stepped through. "I look forward to fighting alongside you!"
Wei’en pursed his lips as he watched the two disappear from the studio.
’Avad Island, huh?’
’Sigh... The original plan was to go there, pay the Black Pearl’s passage fee, and then head south to the Southern Continent. Now...’
Wei’en leaned back in his chair silently. The words Menor and Kleia had just spoken echoed in his mind. Combining their information with what he had translated from the tome—the Era Relic with the black gemstone—the world’s timeline was gradually becoming clearer.
’The Second Era was an age of chaos, marked by the turmoil of the Outer World’s Source Souls. It was ended by the Night Goddess, leading many other gods and the people of the Turing Empire, which ushered in the Third Era.’
’And as for the Third Era, based on what I know so far, it seems to have been the most eventful period. The Turing Empire, the Wizard Schools, the five great True God Churches, the Eternal Life Association, and the Dusk Sect were almost all founded back then.’
’Not only that, but a great catastrophe also occurred during the Third Era, leading to the collapse of the War Church. The Night Church and the Sun Church must have undergone some major changes during that time as well.’
’After that came the Fourth Era. Although I don’t know much about it, from the bits and pieces I’ve gathered from the Eternal Life Association and the Ghost Soul School, it’s clear that the major factions flourished during that time. The only significant event must have been the appearance of the red moon.’
’But the reason is unknown!’
’Then there’s the current Divine Prohibition Era. Something must have happened in the Old Calendar that caused a temporal fault, a fracture in time that the "Master of True Slaughter" then stole to create his "True" domain.’
’And finally, the New Calendar...’
’Although many events, large and small, fill the timeline from the Third Era to the present, at least I’m no longer completely ignorant about this world.’
’However—’
’There are still some things that must be investigated. Those are likely the root causes hidden beneath all these changes...’
’For instance, the fall and slumber of several Ancient Gods. The ones I know of are Gonzalez, Olanier, Gamedia, and finally, the Night Goddess...’
’Then there’s the reason for the temporal fault, the fall of the Turing Empire, whatever happened between the several Leonards, and Clelia...’
At this thought, Wei’en let out a long breath and murmured, "Fortunately, there’s still time. Take it slow, take it slow... no need to rush, don’t rush..."
’The next time I see Menor, my power must have reached a level where I can fight a Grave Digger on my own.’
’Only then will I not be a burden in the operations to come!’
Meanwhile, having already reappeared tens of thousands of kilometers away, Menor mused aloud, "Feels like I forgot something."
"Did you?"
Kleia scanned the silent sea around them and said dismissively, "Don’t worry about it for now. Where are we?"
"A forbidden area of the sea. Let’s go. Before we meet up with Black Jack and the others, we’ll pay a visit to another old friend."
"Oh? You’ve been here before?"
"Of course. The Sea Cow Race folks are pretty reasonable..."
...
...
High in the night sky, the red moon hung, casting a faint crimson glow over the boundless Cordo Sea Region.
Amidst the shimmering waves, the roar of the swelling sea was punctuated by the occasional screech of a Deep Sea mutation, carrying far across the open water.
"La, la, la..."
Aboard the towering, platinum-and-white Five-Masted Sailing Ship, Celestia wore a simple pink dress. The usually heroic air on her face was softened, a rare sight. She leaned back in a high-backed chair at the ship’s bow, gazing at the sea ahead as if lost in thought.
Beside her, a heavy Two-Handed Sword in its scabbard rested against the back of the chair, creating a scene of striking contrasts.
Not far away, Kali stood by the ship’s rail, her posture ramrod straight, her ample bosom nearly pressing against the railing. The sea breeze blew back her long hair, and her golden eyes reflected the hazy surface of the sea, a hint of confusion occasionally flickering within them.
Beside her, Melbel maintained her usual unsmiling demeanor. She leaned against the railing, her head tilted slightly up. A sliver of light escaped from under the brim of her ornate and exquisite hat as she gazed at the night sky.
"Lord Celestia, we still cannot get a precise location on Wei’en Loft."
A Judgment Knight emerged from the cabin, knelt on one knee on the deck, and said respectfully, "We can only determine that their current heading is toward Avad Island."
Celestia propped her chin on her hand and chuckled. "Avad Island. It’s a necessary stop for anyone heading to the Southern Sea Region, but I can’t wait that long."
"But, my lord, the sea chart only indicates that much."
"Switch to another person."
"My lord’s meaning is..." The Judgment Knight faltered. "Are you referring to the other crew members?"
"Mhm," Celestia nodded. "I recall he has a pirate on his ship? Ronan? Find his location, and we’ll naturally know where the Mutated Mage is."
