Chapter 117: Chapter 98: Multiple Magic Springs and Paper
In the Sea of Consciousness, the Crystal Core floated at the very center, its light steady and serene. Below it was the Main Magic Spring, swirling like a chaotic expanse. To the left of the main spring was a slightly smaller vortex—the Second Magic Spring, which housed the Samadhi True Flame, its dark gold fire burning quietly within. Now, he needed to open up a new space on the right side.
Acting on his own understanding, his Spiritual Power surged from the Crystal Core, condensing on the right side into countless hair-thin threads. They intertwined and twisted in the empty space, weaving a hollow spherical structure layer by layer. The sphere was not large, and every thread was pulled taut. He didn’t dare relax; if he slipped up for even a moment, the sphere would instantly collapse, ruining all his hard work.
He probed his Spiritual Power into the interior of the sphere and began to fill it. The first layer was the structural framework, the second was the energy pathway, the third was the storage node, the fourth was the conversion node, the fifth was the release node... Each layer required the precise weaving of hundreds of Spiritual Power lines. The position, tension, and node connection of every single line had to be flawless. Sweat began to bead on his forehead, and his temples throbbed. His Spiritual Power was draining twice as fast as he had anticipated. If he hadn’t just downed a bottle of High Tier Secret Medicine, he really might not have been able to hold on.
Just as the Third Magic Spring was about to be completed, a pale blue water droplet condensed in Chen Shang’s Sea of Consciousness, drifting slowly toward the newly woven sphere. It was the One-Element Heavy Water. The moment the droplet touched the surface of the sphere, it seamlessly melted into it. The interior of the sphere began to fill with a pale blue light—going from faint to bright, and from bright to steady. The droplet rotated slowly at the center of the sphere, releasing a ring of pale blue ripples with every revolution. The ripples spread to the edge of the sphere, bounced back against the Spiritual Power lines, and converged back onto the droplet in an endless, self-sustaining cycle.
The Third Magic Spring’s Enchantment was complete!
Thus, the landscape of Chen Shang’s Sea of Consciousness took on a new look. At the very center was the Crystal Core, and below it was the Main Magic Spring. To its left was the Second Magic Spring housing the dark gold flame. To the right was the Third Magic Spring, where deep blue water-light flowed within the sphere like a solidified ocean. The three springs formed a triangular layout, slowly revolving around the Crystal Core like three planets caught in the orbit of the same star.
Chen Shang opened his eyes and performed a simple self-test. His Magic Power value had jumped from 257 to 311. Of course, this rapid growth would continue for a while. Furthermore, with an additional independent energy circulation system, both his Magic Power generation and recovery speeds had increased accordingly. His control over the One-Element Heavy Water had also drastically improved.
He stood up and stretched his body. With a slight shift in his thoughts, the Samadhi True Flame and One-Element Heavy Water materialized simultaneously. He then controlled the two, bringing them slowly closer together. Previously, his Water-Fire Fusion model had utilized the core runes of Siwa and Wuwa. Now, with the Samadhi True Flame in his left hand and the One-Element Heavy Water in his right, the power had multiplied by more than just a single tier. The two powers collided and merged between his palms. At the moment of the Water-Fire Fusion, the air in the laboratory shuddered violently, and several light objects were blown to the ground by the shockwave.
The Golden Crow didn’t even dare to breathe heavily; he grabbed Surtr and fled the laboratory without looking back.
Chen Shang withdrew his hands and dissipated the power. He wasn’t crazy enough to test its full might inside his own lab. However, according to his preliminary estimates, the combination of the two powers leveraged a multiplier of around twenty times. What did a twenty-fold multiplier mean in practice? He had tested his base Attack Power in a static field; it was roughly between 120 and 150 degrees. If the twenty-fold leverage could be fully utilized, his attack could reach a staggering 2,400 degrees. Even a Third Level Apprentice who had achieved Spiritual Power Specialization would only be at this level. Some mediocre apprentices couldn’t even reach this height. This would become one of Chen Shang’s trump cards.
He didn’t plan on building the fourth Magic Spring just yet. For one, his comprehension still needed further refinement. For another, regarding the Wind Attribute, he had only mastered Call Wind. Call Wind was a Divine Technique, not a physical entity like the Samadhi True Flame.
A few days later, Chen Shang was at the Recording Platform tweaking Zhong Kui’s runes. Amy was squatting in the corner in front of the materials cabinet, muttering to herself with a bottle of pale purple Curse Catalyst in hand. The Crystal Plate lit up with a message. It was from Baal, stating that he wanted to visit Chen Shang to discuss an important matter. Chen Shang replied, giving his approval. Before long, the chubby guy arrived at Chen Shang’s laboratory.
"Brother, how have you been lately?"
Chen Shang set down his rune pen. "Not bad. How are the nutritional supplements selling?"
Baal smiled. "That’s exactly what I came to talk to you about." He immediately pulled a stack of paper documents from his Space Equipment. They were densely packed with clauses, and the trading seal of the Pan-Wizard Alliance was stamped at the bottom of every page.
"Your marketing strategy was excellent. Lords from certain worlds really buy into this kind of stuff. I produced a thousand bottles for the first batch, and they sold out in less than half a month. I made five thousand for the second batch, and we’re already scraping the bottom of the barrel now.
"However, the market isn’t that large. I anchored our target clientele to those indigenous elites who hold high status and authority but lack the qualifications to access true Wizard resources. But there aren’t many people like that; they’re mostly found in newly integrated worlds. If we want to scale up, we’ll need to rely on shifting their mindset."
He paused for a moment before continuing. "So, I’m planning to officially register a brand and standardize our business. I came here today to sign a formal agreement with you."
Chen Shang didn’t hesitate after reading through the agreement. He picked up his pen and signed his name. It was a fifty-fifty split, completely consistent with the ratio they had originally agreed upon.
